They were my childhood, and I still watch one every now and then! My favorite is The Nutcracker. While they can be cheesy, and the animation has aged a lot, they still hold up decently well!
+101vampierlover That's certainly arguable. He was very rude and hateful to everybody but the royal family. He took advantage of the power he had for saving Alexei's life and helped make the government unstable and undependable when it should have been the opposite, considering that this was taking place during the first world war. In fact, a big part of the reason the Russian people hated the royal family so much was because of Rasputin's influence on the family, because the public didn't know Alexei was sick and that Rasputin was the only one who could save him. If Rasputin had cleaned up his behavior in front of the public and not used his power the way he did, the royal family might've never been killed.
Anastasia is such a good movie. Prince of Egypt as well. Admittedly, when I was younger, I thought Anastasia was a movie about one of Cinderella's step-sisters with thre same name. LOL Don't ask me how I came to that conclusion. Finally watched it a few years ago and was like, "WOAH. THIS IS NOT WHAT I THOUGHT AT ALL!" Silly me. :3
I was waiting for the price of Egypt😂I was about to say "I can't believe he didn't include the price of Egypt! it's a musical masterpiece" right before he mentioned it
I have lost count on how many times I've watched The Prince of Egypt in school. Catholic schools will do that to you but I am not complaining. One of the best movies.
i am too disappointed but Journey to the Past is about Anastasia cuz she knew almost nothing and now she has a chance to learn almost everything and this gets her startsd
"The Prince of Egypt" is literally my favorite animated movie and quite possibly my favorite movie of all time...and "Deliver Us" always makes me weep with sorrow, despair, rage and joy, all at the same time. It is a masterpiece of musical composition, as is pretty much every other song in that movie.
Headphonebear :3 because The Prince of Egypt was a really big gamble. The idea of an animated movie centered around religion is hard enough, and in a time where CGI was rapidly overtaking the hand animated films, it's just no way for them to go about making movies. It's really sad. DreamWorks barely makes things that are risky these days.
Headphonebear :3 But we can't forget Joseph: King Of Dreams which was also made by Dreamworks and also holds amazing musical numbers. That movie doesn't get enough credit either. It's beyond amazing.
When I was 7-9 y.o, I used to watch The Prince of Egypt almost every day. At that time I really liked history of ancient civilizations, being Egypt my favorite. I loved every song and sang along with the movie. Then, I grew up, started liking other kind of movies and other things, as any teen. Fast forward to 3 months ago, being 23 yo, being fan of Zimmer's work in Nolan's movies, I started looking for other movies he scored, and then I was surprised to see he did score that movie I loved as kid. Needless to say, when "Deliver Us" hit my ears, I burst into tears. One of my favorite composers was part of my childhood and I didn't know it! Great to see that song on the top of your list.
Michael Johnson? Michael Johnson? No one has noticed that you called Michael Jordan ... Michael Johnson yet? Now Michael Johnson was a gold medal Olympian.. he wore the gold shoes..
"Deliver Us" still gives me chills listening to it. I felt like there were some hypocritical choices in the mix especially since he mentioned how much he loved group songs with strong singers. Like.. He had JUST mentioned loving the "You're Beautiful Baby" even over my favorite "Let Me be Your Wings" and then suddenly chose "Far Longer than Forever" when that first song "This is My Idea" should have really been on that list. Lol! But I digress. I think I'm still a little sad that he didn't choose some of those AMAZING Cats Don't Dance songs... Like... The vocal performance for Darla Dimple was just gorgeous in her "Big & Loud" song AND reprise. Good list, though. Would probably like another video for more choices :)
Nice list, though I'd also like to give a mention to "It's tough to be a God" from the movie Road to El Dorado, which is incidentally one of my favorite non-Disney animated movies.
nobodyinparticular everyone knows about it? I wanna visit where you live, because every time I bring it up in my school/ town, I just get a blank stare:/
"Now, the moment you've all been waiting for..." ~FREAKING SPLIT SECOND OF THE SUN AND HANDS REACHING OUT~ Me: Instantly recognizes it, then proceeds to gasp dramatically and squeal
Seriously though, I love 'The Prayer' but man oh man there is just something about I Stand Alone that makes it stick out from the rest of the songs in Quest for Camelot. The opening number, United We Stand is also a great one to mention, honestly outside of "Ruber's Song" and "If I didn't have you." Quest for Camelot has an amazing soundtrack including Looking through your eyes and On my Father's Wings.
On My Father's Wings tears my heart out because I lost my father around the same age as the lead. But I Stand Alone (and its reprise, in particular) are fantastic. I have to agree with Kohl Yis - United We Stand is phenomenal too. Quest for Camelot actually had a pretty good soundtrack!
Katarinaria Resistance It does! My sisters and I just found it on demand and watched it, we looked at each other when we finished like. "o.o" then just hit replay and watched it all over again xD
Literally after he mentioned Quest for Camelot I went and listened to that song. Then after that I listened to On My Father's Wings. Why weren't these songs on the list?
Kaija Schmauss I feel like the reason why A Journey To The Past was chosen because it has so much feeling on what Anya truly wants in life: a family. It's full of longing and hope and really is a strong introduction to her character. Course that's my opinion.
CherushiiAnime That and Once Upon a December might have been a little obvious. As gorgeous as the melody is, it is the main song people remember from the movie.
Oh... Anastasia... I had no idea that was a Don Bluth movie. I love it so much. It is amazing and the music is some of the most refreshing I've heard in a while because of all of the pop music in a lot of movies.
I have a love for Rumor in St. Peter's burg as it reminds me of the Tradition song from fiddler on the roof with how you can see the characters all over the city dancing and speaking to eachother it is among the finest world building I've seen in a movie in years.
YES!!!!!! It is my favorite animated movie of all time, and that includes any and all Disney movies, but whenever I mention it to anyone they're like, is that like, a movie or something?
+Alex Miller I know right? In my school we were studying Egypt and the origins of Judism and we watched Prince of Egypt. Some kids said they hated it. I WAS LIKE, WHY IT'S AMAZING ASDFGHJKLL. Plus the reason the songs is amazing because HANS ZIMMER
....Welp time to go watch Prince of Egypt again, darn it list (also surprised I have seen all of the movies in this list and that FINALLY someone else knows Anastasia is a Don Bluth movie not a Disney one)
Lol I saw a post on Facebook like " Anastasia was a real life Disney princess that no one recognizes and Disney just over looks " and I just commented " well that's because she's not a From Disney " lol
You deserve more subscribers, to be honest Anastasia had such nice numbers. Like the #2 and the December song. I don't know the name in English but in Spanish it is called "Una vez en Diciembre."
Hell to yes 👏🏾👏🏾❤️ prince of Egypt is the best animated musical I can honestly say that I would by the soundtrack to . That song at the beginning tugs at my heartstrings every time, especially the song let my people go .
MikuCielSebastianCaraEl well, sure. For example, when other father (OF for short) says "cute as a button in the eyes of everyone" it's a nod to the OM wanting to put buttons in Coraline's eyes. Let me know if you want to know more.
Diana Laura those songs, while they were good, weren't exactly musical numbers which was what he was looking for. They were background songs that didn't really talk (sing?) About the plot, just there for a nice tune in a movie with little talking. Spirit didn't burst out in song at any point.
Prince of Egypt was a large part of my childhood and its music changed the way I think about music as a whole! It's so beautiful and moving, recommend the movie to anyone!
Here's my top 10(sorry for having so many villain songs, but they were so good I couldn't leave 'em out. Oh well, at least it's half regular songs and half villain songs in here). #10 The Apology Song(The Book of Life) #9 Yer Beautiful Baby(Thumbelina) #8 Unleash the Magic(MLP EQG: Friendship Games) #7 The Zing(Hotel Transylvania) #6 Toxic Love(FernGully: The Last Rainforest) #5 No More Mr. Nice Guy(The Swan Princess) #4 If I Didn't Have You(Quest for Camelot) #3 You're Playing With the Big Boys(The Prince of Egypt) #2 Remains of the Day(Corpse Bride) #1 In the Dark of the Night(Anastasia)
The only downside in The Book of Life's songs were they were all sung by Manolo. Well, almost every song. Not saying Manolo's singing was bad, the songs just lacked variety that way. It woulda been so awesome to hear a song when Manolo meets his deceased ancestors or when Xibalba was planning the wedding of María and Joaquín. Or ESPECIALLY when the Candle Maker introduces himself.
I forgot all about "Prince of Egypt"! Watching the list I was like, "Wonder what #1 will be?" and once you covered "Anastasia" I was like really wondering since I thought that would be #1. Two seconds into "Deliver Us" I was right back in the theatre watching it for the first time and getting CHILLS!!! How could I have forgotten? I wore out the soundtrack when I was younger. Must rewatch that movie now... That song is EPIC!
Deliver us is like a whole experience. Every single time I listen to it I can't help but feel my entire body filled with chills, and feel like I saw an entire movie just with it. It's amazing.
Well, the actual Michael Johnson of sports world is a Olympic Gold winning Sprinter. Who was super popular the same year Space Jam came out and often had his name mixed up with Michael Jordan. He reached greatness in the Track and Field world for wearing the golden shoes at the Olympics and winning the gold for the 400m and 200m in the same year which was a first for a man if I am not mistaken. ....I may or may not have saved his Wheaties box from when I was a kid.
'Deliver Us' ALWAYS gives me chills hearing it. It's just so powerful and horrible and epic all at the same time! Love it! Perfect choice for the No. 1!!
Apparently in addition to Micheal Jordan being Michael Johnson, 14:29 Colin Farrell is now Pharell... The the precision and accuracy in this video and all the correct research done is astounding!!?
i'm sad none of the barbie movie songs made it.. some of their songs, especially the earlier ones like in Princess and the Pauper, Island Princess, and Diamond Castle were pretty good....
My personal favorite song in Prince of Egypt, is "Plagues." It's almost like putting the stampede scene and "Be Prepared" from The Lion King, together as one sequence. IT'S AWESOME!
NOAHSWIFE2007 I know this is an older comment, but if you haven’t yet, please make a point of watching the movie. Even if you aren’t big on religion, the story, the music, the animation, it’s all beautiful and epic, and simply worth watching just to witness it. You can treat the religion aspect as a “what-if?” situation if that’s what you believe in, the story boils down to really a story about morals and how you treat others. I mean, there’s much more to that, but that’s the gist of it.
Why, yes. Yes I am the die hard Titan AE fan. I love the hell out of that movie plus as a kid I had both books that were prequels for Cale and Akima. As for Anastasia, I prefer "In the dark of the night". Such a memorable villain song.
You brought back some good memories. I MISS MY CHILDHOOD! I feel like watching all my favorite cartoon/ Disney movies all over again, just to listen to my favorite songs! But some of these movies are difficult to find now on DVD.
The Anime Obsessor I was 8 too when I first saw it, I wasn't scared though. But just a couple of months ago I watched it again and it did scare the crap out of me even though I'm supposed to be older now xD
Anastasia is the goddess of all children's movies and don't you forget it.
oh and Titan AE is kick ass as well
OH YA ANASTASIA IS EVEYTHING
Anastasia AND Hetalia lover...CAN WE BE FRIENDS!!!
+Aura.talia sure man! I'll be friends with you! do you have a pinterest? or something of the like? 😁
Alfred F. Jones Well,I got a Quotev and some other things
I came for Anastasia and Prince of Egypt i love them both
same!
SAME
Agreed, but I was expecting different songs.
I looked in the comments hoping for prince of Egypt
GJameso Me too
Didn't anyone else notice him saying Michael Johnson instead of Michael Jordan
yup....
yeah and it bothered me greatly
I caught that too. It made me pause and replay.
and Steven Curry ... instead of Stephen Curry
I guess he did more than one wrong google search.
Deliver us? THANK YOU! I get chills every single time
I remember being a biiiit obsessed with Anastasia as a child.
Like I used to mimic the scene where she was hypnotized and nearly walked off a cliff.
I literally know the entire dialogue of the movie by heart xD
+Helvetica09 wow I thought I was the only one! 😄
Me too 😅
My aunt got me the music box and I had the VHS tape, DVD copy, and even an Anastasia doll XD
The Swan Princess' "This Is My Idea" deserves an honorable mention, in my opinion.
Knightess yeeeees
Knightess I LOVE THAT SONG!!!!!!!
Knightess He doesn't do HMs.
Completely agree. The whole sequence is the best part of the movie.
Yes this song is adorable!
the old barbie movie songs are insanely good for, well... a barbie movie! i was pleasantly surprised listen to them again.
I honestly old Barbie movies are waaaaaay better than the new ones
Misdreavus Screech Pokemon glad to see someone else appreciating the old barbie films!
Those films were part of my childhood😄
Old barbie movies were awesome, I'm sad that they're so underrated.
They were my childhood, and I still watch one every now and then! My favorite is The Nutcracker. While they can be cheesy, and the animation has aged a lot, they still hold up decently well!
I saw Anastasia in cinema, when I was little... And hell, Rasputin scared the fuck out of me and he still does
Kurt Wagner and he's not the only scary villain who's voiced by Christopher Lloyd; there's also The Hacker from Cyber Chase!
I'm from Germany, so I watched the film with another synchro when I was a kid
Kurt Wagner Rasputin made me cry when I was kid ahah but Anistasia is the best movir
+101vampierlover That's certainly arguable. He was very rude and hateful to everybody but the royal family. He took advantage of the power he had for saving Alexei's life and helped make the government unstable and undependable when it should have been the opposite, considering that this was taking place during the first world war. oh! i loved rasputin i have always been in to villians even as a child
i loved "once upon a december" and "in the dark of the night" in anastasia.
and agree with "deliver us" being #1
I LOVED Once apon an December!
Sorry *upon*
ANASTASIA IS AWESOME
I loved anastasia too lol
Anastasia is such a good movie. Prince of Egypt as well. Admittedly, when I was younger, I thought Anastasia was a movie about one of Cinderella's step-sisters with thre same name. LOL Don't ask me how I came to that conclusion. Finally watched it a few years ago and was like, "WOAH. THIS IS NOT WHAT I THOUGHT AT ALL!" Silly me. :3
I was waiting for the price of Egypt😂I was about to say "I can't believe he didn't include the price of Egypt! it's a musical masterpiece" right before he mentioned it
True but this is in his opinion, so it may not have been one of loved songs. But I love that song to.
I have lost count on how many times I've watched The Prince of Egypt in school. Catholic schools will do that to you but I am not complaining. One of the best movies.
I know I've watched it 100 times!!!
It's a great movie *_*
The only good thing about catholic school
The only good thing about catholic school
Anne Nellas we never watched it to the end XD
who else is pumped for Anastasia coming to Broadway? SO EXCITED!
Raye J me!!!!
Raye J same!!!!!!
Raye J WHAAAAAAAAT
Ashley Kachuba They made a full-length musical based on Anastasia
Raye J YAY!!!!!!!
Top 5 NBA players of all time. 1 - Michael Johnson ( of course ) 2 - Steven Curry 3 - Colin Farrell 4 - Lebron Janes 5 - Magic Jordan.
Did you know Anastiasia is being brought to Broadway?!
I don't know if he is trolling or was being serious about Michael Johnson and Steven Curry
Nice jokes, LewToons.
Please tell me this is a joke 😂😂😂
+Hippin'-T Thank god 😂😂
so disappointed you didnt put ONCE UPON A DECEMBER on this list!
Omg same!
SAME! I saw Anastasia and I'm like, "DANCING BEARS!!!" But stopped with disappointment.
Personally I think "In the Dark of the Night" is more memorable for me.
They're all great. Personally I think "once upon a december" when thinking of Anastasia, too. But he is right about "journey to the past"'s greatness.
i am too disappointed but Journey to the Past is about Anastasia cuz she knew almost nothing and now she has a chance to learn almost everything and this gets her startsd
Spirit: Stallion of the Cinnamon should be on the list on my opinion
Francisca Jardim Correia YES
Francisca Jardim Correia I thought I was the ONLY one
Francisca Jardim Correia THAT MOVIE WAS MY ENTIRE FREAKING CHILDHOOD
YASSSSSSSSS
THAT MOVIE < 3
"The Prince of Egypt" is literally my favorite animated movie and quite possibly my favorite movie of all time...and "Deliver Us" always makes me weep with sorrow, despair, rage and joy, all at the same time. It is a masterpiece of musical composition, as is pretty much every other song in that movie.
As a vhs collector, it makes me so happy when you pop out those movies😍
gotta love them!
+LewToons oh and you should have put the song from The Princess and the Goblin it is so good😂 but loved the list dude!
My mom gave away or VHS player, so many good VHS tapes are now collecting dust :(.
+The Reviewer i will buy them off of you hahah or go buy a vcr! they have them at thrift stores and goodwills

WELCOME TO THE MOTHERFUCKING SPACE JAM
COME ON AND SLAM
AND WELCOME TO THE JAM
DISNEY!!!!
Anneliese Edelstein Wb, not disney at all
I would've just made the entire list Anastasia songs.
Milo 6456 yeah that would basically be me as well lol xD
Swan Princess is a favorite for me too, but I would have chosen Once Upon a December from Anastasia. Both are great movies though.
Dahne1 YASSSSS OMFG
I love once upon a December
WHY CANT DREAM WORKS MAKE MORE MOVING ES LIKE PRINCE OF EGYPT
also watched it yesterday seen it like 100x
+Headphonebear :3 also my.favorite song is the plague song
Headphonebear :3 because The Prince of Egypt was a really big gamble. The idea of an animated movie centered around religion is hard enough, and in a time where CGI was rapidly overtaking the hand animated films, it's just no way for them to go about making movies. It's really sad. DreamWorks barely makes things that are risky these days.
Watch Joseph king of dreams.
Headphonebear :3 But we can't forget Joseph: King Of Dreams which was also made by Dreamworks and also holds amazing musical numbers. That movie doesn't get enough credit either. It's beyond amazing.
I know it's a cover but Holding Out for a Hero from Shrek 2 straight up makes that movie.
Hell yes! when I was smaller I always got super excited when it began!
It's better than the original song xD
Arely Cruz It really is. Jennifer Saunders NAILED it
agreed
I love that a non-musical movie had one of the best songs of any animated movie ever. Saunders' I Need A Hero is my jam.
WHERE IS "IT'S TOUGH TO BE A GOD" FROM THE ROAD TO EL DORADO ?????????
or how about "the trail we blazed"
it was cut to make room for the jams, the space jams
SO missing from the list.
Just seeing someone mention this song makes me want to listen to it
YEEEEESSSSS
When I was 7-9 y.o, I used to watch The Prince of Egypt almost every day. At that time I really liked history of ancient civilizations, being Egypt my favorite. Before I watch: PLEASE LET THERE BE A PRINCE OF EGYPT SONG ON HERE.
You was right.
+The Blue Shell 😂
FUCK YES! Though, I think "Let My People Go" should've been the one chosen but not really complaining lol
I love your profile pic
I loooove Prince of Egypt, god yes.
Anastasia was my FAVORITE for a LONG TIME
especially that song
It has one of the best villain songs too!
PopTartNeko man i love all the songs in Anastasia
Since my mother's birthday is in December, I always like to sing her Once Upon a December from Anastasia for karaoke.
that's so nice!
*Hears Deliver Us*
Me: *clapping and cheering in the background* YEEEEEESSSSS!
Can I get a HELL YEAH?
The rode to Eldorado should be on here in my opinion
*Road
*El Dorado
And which song?
BOY-SDB Khunahm Someday Out of The Blue!
I'd say 'Friends never say Goodbye' or 'Its Tough to Be A God'
i TOTALLY agree. fav song is "tough to be a god" its like the only one not by Elton John.
I apologize for my spelling mistakes but yes! The road to El Dorado had an amazing soundtrack. I absolutely loved the song 'The trail we blaze'.
Michael Johnson? Michael Johnson? No one has noticed that you called Michael Jordan ... Michael Johnson yet? Now Michael Johnson was a gold medal Olympian.. he wore the gold shoes..
There are some deliberate mis-identifications but this one, I honestly can't tell if it was intentional.
I noticed xD looked all over for a comment to see if anyone else has noticed
i don't think anyone noticed that during Thumbelina he said "Non-animated Disney movies" either.
I think you're all forgetting the true winner. Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer, clearly.
RandomlyBeautiful13 Omg yes
RandomlyBeautiful13 omg YES!
RandomlyBeautiful13 GRANDMAS GONNA SUE THE PANTS OFF OF SANTA
I remember crying at that shit like "DID SHE DIE!?!?", still can't watch that movie without having a mini heart attack😂😂😂
RandomlyBeautiful13 That song...is EVIL.
Prince of Egypt was great af
Nice list, though I'd also like to give a mention to "It's tough to be a God" from the movie Road to El Dorado, which is incidentally one of my favorite non-Disney animated movies.
I agree!
agreed! do a part 2 pls if possible!
yep
Trod where mortals cannot trod
I love that movie so much
Thumbalina, Anastasia, Prince of Egypt, and Coraline were the shit when I was young
When you said Titan A.E. I saw my entire childhood flash before my eyes
Alexander Carson Same XD
Alexander Carson I absolutely love that movie!!!
Oh, good, I'm not the only one.
The Swan Princess is one of my childhood favorites! I can't believe so little people know of it.
I like This Is My Idea best from that one.
I loved the Swan Princess as a child! I remember very vividly when my dad came home with the vhs tape and we watched it
That awkward moment when you forget how you found the film in the first place
This.
It should be available online. Try Putlocker or something
I love your number 1, but I believe Plagues is a good runner up in Prince of Egypt
I thought plagues was going to be #1
I liked through heavens eyes better
oml I remember when I saw that movie I just couldn't get that song out of my head.
I agree
No Road to El Dorado songs... I'm a tiny bit disappointed but a Prince of Egypt song being number one makes up for it.
He said musical numbers- that one only had one I think, and while I like it, it's no Prince of Egypt
+Jenifer Joseph that's why I thought El Dorado songs could have been lower on the list.
It's not even on the honorable mentions list.
On the cover of the rental we forgot to return it says Disney right on the front.
Decaf 235 well it's a dreamworks movie so your rental copy is lying.
At last, The Prince of Egypt gets the credit it deserves. I've been waiting for this for forever.
PRINCE OF EGYPT IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIES
Agreed!
Me too *.*
What is the other animated movie that is a bit like it?
I forgot the name.
+FaithsStardust Joseph?
Jordan Barkley And the technicolor dream-coat!
Yes thank you!!
Before I watch... Please be one from El Dorado.
Okay, I can take Prince of Egypt
+Wolfan Terror I never thought El Dorado had memorable songs (some were good, just not really memorable)
I adore It's Great To Be A God.
Kristen Olsen Here here
It's a good song, just isn't an earworm
When he pulled "Micheal Johnson" into that hole.
Someone else noticed too >_
Not like he made a multimillion dollar shoe company or anything-
Oh wait 😂😂 no hate just thought it was hilarious
yes omg
with guest stars Bugger Bunny, Daft Duck and Ben Murray
I did a double take XD
The Prince of Egypt is the most underrated animated movie ever. Incredible voice acting , animation, and, of course, music. It's a masterpiece.
Did Lew just call Michael Jordan, Michael Johnson? Lol.
Yes and called Stephan Curry, Steven Curry
Twas a joke
+manband20 I feel like it was one of those things he did just to see if we would notice
Where is The Road to El Doradoon this list lol
that is the legit my favorite animated movie
That movie was stupid. Prince of Egypt is the best DreamWorks film by a mile.
I love that movie too. The song are good.
me and my sister could basically say the entire movie word for word back in the day
Say what you want about the movie, but the songs were great!
choosing 'Journey to The Past' over 'Once Upon a December'. Eh, to each their own I suppose.
Honestly there is no wrong choice when picking an Anastasia song. xD
In the dark of the night is also a really good one.
+Edgardo Valentin
Exactly XD
I remember Swan Princess being my total fave movie as a kid and it still gets me excited when I hear music from it.
The Barbie movies have awesome songs.
At least the original ones.
The Island Princess' love song on the ship was pretty good '_'
I love the villain song "How Can I Refuse" in The Princess and the Pauper.
Loved them until Diamond Castle
+Jeetaruey IKr
CORALINE! YES. Nobody else nobody knows about that movie but I love it!!
What that movie is awesome.
Everyone knows about that movie but says it's scary, even though it isn't
I have all of Tim Burton's movies! (Yes, yes..I know it's not Tim Burton movie but it's still associated with him because of Henry Selick)
nobodyinparticular everyone knows about it? I wanna visit where you live, because every time I bring it up in my school/ town, I just get a blank stare:/
+Kiley Sioux I live in Australia, in the most boring part of it, don't come
It's tough to be a god? Anyone? Please?
Haha I like the trail blazer song better in el dorado
It's tough to be a god was always a favorite of mine! I still like once upon a december more.
Honestly, any song from that film is good enough 😊
is one of my favourites
love it
"Now, the moment you've all been waiting for..."
~FREAKING SPLIT SECOND OF THE SUN AND HANDS REACHING OUT~
Me: Instantly recognizes it, then proceeds to gasp dramatically and squeal
*Cough* I Stand Alone from Quest for Camelot *cough*
+Kohl Yis I was just about to comment about Looking Through Your Eyes when I saw your comment lol
I just cannot agree with that phrase at the beginning Rockadoodle and Cats don't Dance are both some of the best non Disney musical numbers
Right? And Once Upon a December is a way better song than Journey to the Past!
+Kaija Schmauss yea seriously lol I like his videos but this countdown is very questionable
As gorgeous as the melody is, it is the main song people remember from the movie.
you should really do a top ten steven universe songs.
yes please
I agree, or episodes/characters
Yes
YES.
1) stronger than you.
It's a fact
I don't care what y'all say, Peace and Love on the planet Earth will always be my favorite
Oh... Anastasia... I had no idea that was a Don Bluth movie. I love it so much. It is amazing and the music is some of the most refreshing I've heard in a while because of all of the pop music in a lot of movies.
And Prince of Egypt? CHILLS.
If there isn't a Prince of Egypt song on this list...
YESSSSS
MY REACTION TOO.
i need to rewatch this and anastasia at some point now
+patricklukcy13 I fall asleep watch Anastasia... I dont know why, I like the movie too
I have a love for Rumor in St. Peter's burg as it reminds me of the Tradition song from fiddler on the roof with how you can see the characters all over the city dancing and speaking to eachother it is among the finest world building I've seen in a movie in years.
Th e prince of Egypt is a forgotten master peace that should be acnolaged more in the line up of great animated films.
YES!!!!!! It is my favorite animated movie of all time, and that includes any and all Disney movies, but whenever I mention it to anyone they're like, is that like, a movie or something?
+Emily.52 Same I love this film but whenever I mention it the people around me just thing I'm making things up again, side note I am WEIRD!!
+anythingnew that idea would be AWESOME A
agreed!!!
....Welp time to go watch Prince of Egypt again, darn it list (also surprised I have seen all of the movies in this list and that FINALLY someone else knows Anastasia is a Don Bluth movie not a Disney one)
Lol I saw a post on Facebook like " Anastasia was a real life Disney princess that no one recognizes and Disney just over looks " and I just commented " well that's because she's not a From Disney " lol
I started screaming when I heard Prince of Egypt and Anastasia come on the countdown
For a very long time I thought Anastasia was a really great underated Disney movies then I found out it wasn't from disney...
SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+YesIAmGroot maybe they were talking about the real life princess anastasia
I have one more: Last Unicorn with the music of "America" :-)
Ohh...I don't know why but this song always calms me down when I am anxious. It's so magical!
You deserve more subscribers, to be honest Anastasia had such nice numbers. Like the #2 and the December song. I don't know the name in English but in Spanish it is called "Una vez en Diciembre."
Once Upon A December
yesssss
On my list, the movies The prince of dreams and All dogs goto heaven. (El Dorado goes up there too~)
Izices yes. total agreement
Izices El Dorado is a Disney film
Actually it's Dream Works. I understand the confusion though.
Connor Worley it.. really.. aint..
Connor Worley WHY DONT YOU SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT NOT BEING DISNEY?!
14:10 Michael JOHNSON??? WHAT
I Thought that is what he said too, but I guess not enough people care .
So he can pronounce Steph Curry's name, but he can't pronounce the name of the greatest basketball player of all time??????
I was SHOOK when i heard that. i legit paused it and rewind it
How did Lewtoons not respond to that mistake?
Lol the ufc fighter
i love deliver us but i always loved through heaven's eyes the most, but that's just my opinion :)
and journey to the past is definitely my favorite in anastasia, but i feel like learn to do it deserves some recognition
What about At the Beginning even though it was a credit song still can't forget it
Hell to yes 👏🏾👏🏾❤️ prince of Egypt is the best animated musical I can honestly say that I would by the soundtrack to . That song at the beginning tugs at my heartstrings every time, especially the song let my people go .
*buy the soundtrack to
I know right!
Prince if Egypt is my favourite non Disney musical ever !!
The Plagues is one of my most listened to songs
14:11 - "Michael Johnson?"
Oh, Chad, come on. xD
Twas a joke
TheRizingSon-2 It was?
I don't get it… lol
nope.
Really? Because "twas" is an actual word, and is a contraction of "it was". So you're perfectly fine and don't need to apologize. :)
CORALINE!!!!!
yaaaass😉
Psst the other father song has tons of warnings hidden in it
+jazzy leah
Really? Where? Could you point them out please, I've never noticed that before 😅
MikuCielSebastianCaraEl well, sure. For example, when other father (OF for short) says "cute as a button in the eyes of everyone" it's a nod to the OM wanting to put buttons in Coraline's eyes. Let me know if you want to know more.
+jazzy leah
Of course! Now my interest is piqued 👍
Ok.... but, what about Spirit (the stallion)?
I loved that movie as a kid.
It does has a lot of really good songs.
I guess it doesn't count as a musical? Cause the characters don't sing. And he says he prefers those.
Is Spirit not Disney?! Has my life been a lie?!
Its Disney though right?
Diana Laura those songs, while they were good, weren't exactly musical numbers which was what he was looking for. They were background songs that didn't really talk (sing?) About the plot, just there for a nice tune in a movie with little talking. Spirit didn't burst out in song at any point.
QUEST FOR CAMELOT MY UNAPPRECIATED FAB
*FAV
I was hoping they would do 'I Stand Alone'
I love Quest for Camelot. I have a necklace of the two headed dragons who I can't remember their names of. I have not watched it in forever.
That's such a good movie!
Yes! Back to Top Tens
Yes Indeed! I'm stoked to be back to them as well :D
+LewToons you should do top ten futurama or family guy songs
I know right
CHAD WHY DIDNT YOU INCLUDE "HOW BAD CAN I BE" FROM THE LORAX?
IVE LOST ALL RESPECT FOR YOU.
ITS CATCHY EVEN IF THE MOVIE IS BAD
welp it is based upon his opinions
It's a good song
Cause it's pretty "meh" and the movie itself pales in comparison to the original short?
Just an idea
+yaoinut (Just so everyone knows I was joking)
Prince of Egypt was a large part of my childhood and its music changed the way I think about music as a whole! It's so beautiful and moving, recommend the movie to anyone!
Here's my top 10(sorry for having so many villain songs, but they were so good I couldn't leave 'em out. Oh well, at least it's half regular songs and half villain songs in here).
#10 The Apology Song(The Book of Life)
#9 Yer Beautiful Baby(Thumbelina)
#8 Unleash the Magic(MLP EQG: Friendship Games)
#7 The Zing(Hotel Transylvania)
#6 Toxic Love(FernGully: The Last Rainforest)
#5 No More Mr. Nice Guy(The Swan Princess)
#4 If I Didn't Have You(Quest for Camelot)
#3 You're Playing With the Big Boys(The Prince of Egypt)
#2 Remains of the Day(Corpse Bride)
#1 In the Dark of the Night(Anastasia)
For real! I was hoping for a book of life song!
Yassss someone gave swan princess love and ferngully some love! Those were my movies as a kid! Love this list!
Unleash the magic is so good, that was the highlight of that film.
Haha the songs I least like from all these movies
I forgot all about "Prince of Egypt"! Watching the list I was like, "Wonder what #1 will be?" and once you covered "Anastasia" I was like really wondering since I thought that would be #1. Two seconds into "Deliver Us" I was right back in the theatre watching it for the first time and getting CHILLS!!! How could I have forgotten? I wore out the soundtrack when I was younger. Must rewatch that movie now... That song is EPIC!
It really grinds me gears that Prince of Egypt does NOT have a blu ray release. Actually, NONE of the Dreamworks animated movies do!
There is no limit to how many times Ive watched prince if Egypt
when I heard deliver us: AHHHHHHHHH PRINCE OF EGYPT MY BAE!!!!!!
Deliver us is like a whole experience. Every single time I listen to it I can't help but feel my entire body filled with chills, and feel like I saw an entire movie just with it. It's amazing.
The Swan Princess was my FAVORITE film as a child!
oh no ani Same! I could watch it all day everyday lol
I love quest for canterlot. I'm so happy to see it on the list!
*camelot
good thing I still enjoyed it also and screw the Nostalgia Critic's review of it!
Michael Johnson? Who's that?
That's what I was going to say. hahahaha.
The ultimate fusion between Michael Jordan and Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson
What? No 'For the Dancing and Dreaming'? That was a theatrical number, kinda.
P.S. I absolutely LOVE these countdowns! 😍😍😍
Oh god I'm gonna cry again
FINALLY! Some else knows Anastasia isn't Disney!! 😃
Road to El Dorado? no? ok.
I loved that movie, but to be honest, I don`t remember the songs ^ ^`
Were they good?
Derryn Edwards MIGHTY AND POWERFUL GODS!!
Derryn Edwards The opening song always got me excited for the movie.
The ending of Deliver Us gives me goosebumps no matter how many times I hear it. Definitely my favourite, I agree wholeheartedly.
Michel Johnson? JOHNSON!?! *ugh*god damn it.
'Twas a joke
bullshit..... thats why he said steven curry? STEVEN?!?.....K
How could that be a joke? seems like an honest mistake but gosh.
My favorite has to be this is This is My Home instead of Deliver us
What song is that from?
Prince of Egypt
+TheToonPony you mean the song playing with the big boys
no
I mean the this is my home/all i ever wanted
is the road to el dorado Disney? because i thought a trail we blaze was a good one
+Melthecoolcat yes it is
Nah, it's actually DreamWorks.
Dreamworks...
Nope, dreamworks. I personally love it's tough to be a god but enjoy all the songs!
Agreed I loved most if not all of the songs from the road to el dorado
Once Upon A December always brings me to tears.
Apparently in addition to Micheal Jordan being Michael Johnson, 14:29 Colin Farrell is now Pharell...
The the precision and accuracy in this video and all the correct research done is astounding!!?
I know it irked me lol
To each their own, but i love Thumbelina in all its imperfections!! :)
i'm sad none of the barbie movie songs made it.. some of their songs, especially the earlier ones like in Princess and the Pauper, Island Princess, and Diamond Castle were pretty good....
My personal favorite song in Prince of Egypt, is "Plagues." It's almost like putting the stampede scene and "Be Prepared" from The Lion King, together as one sequence. IT'S AWESOME!
LOATHING UNADULTERATED LOATHING,
For your face.
Your voice
Your clothing.
LETS JUST SAY, I LOATH IT ALL! EVERY LITTLE BIT HOWEVER SMALL.
What I'm about to state may be disturbing to some viewers...
I've never seen Coraline or SpaceJam...
Please don't murder me!!!!!
AVAcado We won't haha, but I do recommend Coraline, I really love the movie (and obviously every other person who has seen it)
AVAcado We won't haha, but I do recommend Coraline, I really love the movie (and obviously every other person who has seen it)
AVAcado don't murder me guys but...IVE NEVER SEEN PRINCE OF EGYPT!I KNOW,SHOCKING.but then again,I'm not big on religion.
Titan AE was 2 edgy 4 me
Cosmic Castaway and My time to fly.
You brought back some good memories. I MISS MY CHILDHOOD! I feel like watching all my favorite cartoon/ Disney movies all over again, just to listen to my favorite songs! But some of these movies are difficult to find now on DVD.
When I was little I had Caroline with 3D glasses. Back then I was fine with the movie, but looking back on it, it's really creepy
Same for me too!
Coraline scared the crap out of me when I saw it as an 8 year old XD
I seriously couldn't sleep for a week after that...
The Anime Obsessor I was 8 too when I first saw it, I wasn't scared though. But just a couple of months ago I watched it again and it did scare the crap out of me even though I'm supposed to be older now xD
Good video! I just thought when I saw the title I would have seen a song of The road to El Dorado XD
Honestly ALL of the prince of egypt's songs are MY JAM. I personally love when you believe and once i called you brother particularly
"once upon a december" from Anatasia made me cry...so sad, beautiful, and happy all at the same time.
