i landed my first pop shuvit about 2 months ago , but recently took a really bad slam trying to pop shuvit off my first stair set and haven’t tried doing another one since. using this video to relearn it though hopefully i get it again fast!
I already knew how to shuvit and I thought I knew how to pop-shuvit and I did so that’s why I watched this. I actually thought a pop-shuvit was an Ollie and then a shuvit.
Thanks for the video. Although this is the tutorial for the pop shuvit, I wanted to ask that how to shorten the distence of board moving forward when doing a shuvit. I know you need to jump forward to catch the board. But I looked others experienced skater doing shuvit that seems the board only move a little bit which looks so clean and cool.
I really need help. I know exactly how to pop shuv, like I know all the steps but I think because I practiced and learned Ollies, my back foot just refuses to move, like it’s just stuck popping straigh down like an Ollie. Pls help
Thanks for making this video! Of my 150, or so, tries this week, I managed to land a few of them clean but most of the time I tend to land way too far forward on the board. I can't tell if its because I'm not pushing the board in the forward direction enough, or if I am jumping in the direction of travel and thus moving faster than my board in the air. Gonna need about 1000 more attempts, I think.
i always watch a lot of different tutorials to see how other people do it and other ways i can do it and this is the one that works for me. thank you bro! p.s. i’ve watched like 9 other tutorials
i like how in your trick tutorial/tips you always mention where/how your body weight is distributed also i dont know if youve ever metioned line of sight as far as when your approaching grinds or curbs etc to get into/onto but those 2 things have always seem to be the most helpful to me when sum1 mentions that in their tutorials... so thank you and keep em coming dude bc you have a very thorough way of explaining things and it making ALOT of sense and is very helpful !
Been learning so much from you man! By far my favorite channel to learn tricks. Got the shuv down from watching how you line up your shoulders with the board and sort of jump forward - I was scooping back and jumping backwards. Love all the different slow-mo angles man. Your explanations are top - great content man, hope to see lots more of you!
@@SkateSage And a week later, landed my first rolling pop shuvits with the help of this excellent video. Cheers from Thailand. 10/10 on the amazing camera work and explanations.
I posted this ? on a recent post from you but it’s more appropriate here. Im trying to pop shuv to fakie on the side of this steep bridge bank and i slip out forwards everytime, any tips you could give?(3 hour slamathon today 🤕)
Hmm, pop shuv to fakie on a bank... I’d say, really try to keep your weight centered over your back foot/shoulder the whole time. Your mind will naturally fight you because you don’t want to fall backwards
10/10 explanation
🙏
@@SkateSage could you do a tutorial for the fakie Ollie possibly?
That’s a possibility! I can add it to the list
your so underrated
Too kind 🙏
Too true man. Just found this channel. Super dope
You're
Those calves👀👀👀 straight up looks like stones under the skin! You must have skated for a looong time
Born with em, all for show

I like to thibk of a shuv it like when you'd have something under your foot like a pokémon card™ and you want to put it behind you like a beeson
10/10 explanation I tried it but I fell so hard on my back 😭 now I’m scared to go back
This one is always weird for me. I can fs pop shuvit but can’t do them bs to save my life. Great vid!
I have some tricks like that too, BS impossible but FS easy

Those could both be possibilities. You could always try to focus on each problem to see which it is

I know I’m late but my board goes to far forward what should I do?

You helped me learn the motion. I watched so many other videos and they didn’t help, but you really get into the details 👍
Nice man, I can already land this trick but is allways nice to hear some trick tips
This is actually super helpful
Nice video in slow motion, very instructive
I always land my pop shuvits with my nose up and all my weight on my back foot.
There are definitely different ways to do em
Thank you. 3 tries in
I'm struggling to lift my back foot up. Any tips?
Focus on jumping off the back, honestly this might be just me but it took me forever to understand the concept of jumping up after popping
them strong ass legs tho
That’s the secret
Please do Inward Heelflip tutorials 🤣🙏
On the list✅
Nice calves
Lol appreciate it
Why can I do them pretty consistently while stationary but I almost always land primo while rolling?
I find them harder stationary!
@@SkateSage i wish it was like that for me
thanks bro!!
