Uncommon skateboarding tricks in super slow motion. Filmed at 1,000 frames per second with a Redlake N3 high speed camera. Since skateboarding trick names are defined by common usage and these tricks are not very common, some of them don't have well-established names. So here are my best guesses as to what they should be called:
Kyle McPherson -- nollie dolphin flip (AKA nollie forward flip)
Cameron Carmichael -- backside 180 casper flip (?) (or bs 180 hospital flip)
Jerrod Skorupski -- nollie heelflip bs body varial
David Case - nollie 360 shuv underflip (AKA nerd flip)
David Case - frontside shuv underflip (AKA kiwi flip or late varial heelflip)
    Dustin Blauvelt - hardflip pretzel
Dustin Blauvelt - Merlin twist (switch front foot impossible fs 180)
Dustin Blauvelt - nollie heelflip indy grab
Shane Anderson - early grab frontside 180 fingerflip (?)
Jovan Pierson - pressure hardflip (?)
Jovan Pierson - ?? I don't know what this is, I just call it a Jovan flip
Erick Schaefer - backside pop shuv underflip
Tim Hamp - Nollie pressure hardflip (?)
Thanks to Funky Notes for the music. This song is called Never Knew.

Any time I see something like this, it makes me think about what incredible things we humans are capable of. If you think about it pretty hard, it starts not making sense. How is it even possible for us to think of this stuff, these tricks are so complex in motion. They happen so fast, how can we calculate where the board is going to be when it lands?

That's so true, but humans accomplish things more mindblowing than this. Consider the smartphone, we all use one but have NO CLUE how they work little less how people figured out this type of shit was possible. Even radios and telephones are amazing, "of course! you can just talk, turn your voice into numbers in an electric current, fucking magic happens, it flies through the air, more magic happens, and then you hear someone's voice" 0.0

Tebri Geperzo I think to some people it's easier than a simple Front Foot Impossible. I learned Hospital Heel Flips, tried them as a BigSpin and it kinda wrapped around my foot too much and did like a Merlin Twist kinda thing, of course I'll never be able to do the actual trick, but I'd never be able to do a 360 Hospital Heel Flip, going Front 180 helps a bit in the wrap.

It's crazy that it looks so smooth and effortless in this slow motion but then you realize these tricks play out in like a second start to finish.
Your athletism, coordination, precision and timing are all things you have to be extremly in tune with to be able to do this stuff.
Ollies are kind of an exception because I could understand how to do them my watching people in real time but the amount of action you have to take just to do other tricks, even the basic kickflip, in a split second, and calculate where your feet have to be while in the air to make good flat and solid contact. All in that second. Amazing. And I never really understood or appreciated it until I just saw this video

those fs shuv underflips are a sight to behold, I always get those every so often but it mostly happens when I'm to lazy to do a fs pop shuv but pull my back foot up right away.

OKAY. I know this video is ancient but my hat goes off to the person In the comments from when it first came out there was no function for slowing speed. Someone in the comments said to hold space bar and he was the top comment. From the bottom of my heart, you're still my favorite comment.
