Thanks so much! I didn't get to hit the river at all this year because of water levels but next summer I'm going to try to find some more big ones like this!
Thanks so much! haha, I know right?!?! When I pulled him in I definitely thought he'd weigh more, but both my scales proved me wrong! Maybe that's why he ate that bream so quick, had an empty belly!
Thanks so much!! Haha, I wish I could say I had a plan an executed it the first time successfully, but I actually learned the hard way on this one! I spooked a few fish earlier on this day because I came in too fast. For this big fish I eased up very slowly not letting the trolling motor get over lvl 4 on approach and he stayed put!
Thanks so much! The river level is almost back down to where I can go out and chase after another big one like that. Hopefully I'll top that one this year!
@ I had to get in the river to land her, because I forgot my net and I was on the bank. It was January. Worth the bitter cold, because 30 seconds after I sat down after releasing it, I hooked into a 46lb blue.
@@HighQualityFishingVideos I imagine the Quachita river has some monsters. I just started with live scope plus about a month ago so still learning. I enjoy your videos , have helped me a lot.

So state fishery committee’s have to make it illegal and enforce it, I doubt that will happen given their track record. @@kerrytodd3753 Then work to make it illegal like we are trying to do with trophy catfish pay lakes that kill tens of thousands of pounds of catfish each year? I don't personally have a livescope yet due to its cost. A livescope would save me time on the water more than anything else. If I have a guided trip I need 5-10 skipjacks/whitebass. When I can't see where these fast fish swim it can take me hours to catch them. With a livescope its much faster. No matter what I take the same amount of fish.
Looks like fun, I gotta try that. I see a lot of catfish in my local lake while crappie fishing. Actually caught a 12 pound fiat head crappie fishing in an Ohio lake. Lot of fun and time on a crappie jig and 8 lb test. Great video thanks fir sharing. God bless.
Hey Ron! Thanks so much for watching and yeah buddy I am still smiling about that catfish and bothering all my friends with pictures of him hahaha! Crappie fishing is just about all I normally do - this is video #11 that I've put out on my youtube channel but about all of my other videos are crappie fishing!
I have the uhd model. As of now i use si & di but I've f decided that i have to get scope. It's just to cool. Now the prices have dropped on the lvs 32 I'm about to buy one. Why not!! Right? I've learned so much by using si & di that out literly puts me on fish. But i want to taste target big cats. I think it will be fun. Great video
Hey thanks for watching my fishing video! I don't have an exact angle and it changes a bit every time I go out due to my portable mount setup, but I try to get it where the upper beam is parallel with the water. That seems to give the best picture for me, but it probably varies +- 10 degrees on every trip out for me. One thing I did while initially getting my picture clear and adjusting settings is pulled up to a few stumps/trees and adjusted everything. I moved a few times to get the trees at various distances to make sure the picture was solid and after I was happy locked it in and took a picture of my settings so I wouldn't forget. Good luck out there!
Hey, thanks so much for watching! I use a Summit brand transducer pole and paired that up with a Ram Tough-Claw mount which clamps to the front rail of the boat. Planning to make a new setup video soon showing how I have everything set up on the pontoon boat and another video review of the boat itself now that I'm almost 1 year into ownership (almost all good!). *That tough-claw mount will clamp to just about anything which is nice if I want to bring the unit with me on a friend's boat and clamp it to the gunnel.
Hey Cajun, I think at 40ft it shows 2ft length grids and at 50ft it swaps to 5ft length. I usually have to look at the top of the screen to see the distance markers to know since I change distance so often when I'm first searching for the fish.
This was up near the Monroe/West Monroe area. Somewhere north of the bridge but don't recall the exact spot. I was just trolling along side scanning for structure and saw that big tree out in the middle so I stopped to take a look. It's funny, I have fished the Tensas River and the Ouachita River and you're fishing right where the two of those meet! I bet that is a great spot to pick up some big fish!
Yes indeed! I reeeeeally wanna go back out and catch another one of these monsters now. Probably gonna try them at night time next time to try to beat the heat.
Thank you! I run my screen and black-box/transducer all off the same lithium 30ah battery which gives me enough juice for around 12 hours on the water.
Hard to say for sure, but very possible. Sometimes when crappie fishing I've dropped straight over them and felt the line or weight/hook actually hit the fish and that has spooked some fish. I had already spooked two other big catfish on this day so I was trying to be extra cautious with this one!
Best livescope demos on catching fishes around, showing bait and fishes! It is like I am watching you playing fishing video game.

Awesome. Good to see you out on the new boat. Fishing has been tough with this heat.
Man the heat has been rough and about to get worse. Think I'm switching over to night fishing until we get back out of the 100s and high 90s.
My biggest catfish, 76lb blue, came out the Washita River. Keep at it. There are some monsters in there.
