In light of transmitting a positive, impactful message, this video completely came out of the blue while I was searching for some valuable idiom content for my CPE preparation. Furthermore, I was able to comprehend everything you explained with flying colors, which definitely helped me stay on the ball.
As funny as it may sound, I had an identical change of heart to yours this very morning, with regards to pancakes. Nevertheless, I didn't take the easy way out and finally set my mind to it, turning up with some gorgeous, tasty oatmeal pancakes.
Last but not least, had it not been for your brilliant UA-cam video, I wouldn't have come up with such elaborate answer. That being said, I reckon that becoming proficient at English implies fighting to the bitter end.

Thank you for such a valuable lesson on idioms. I really like the way you CUT TO THE CHASE. Now that I've learned those I'm ON CLOUD NINE. In fact, there is no CUTTING CORNERS when it comes to learning a language. I first CUT MY TEETH on idioms when I was 18 and after a few years struggling to learn most of them, I was AT MY WITS' END. But we need to GIVE OURSELVES SOME SLACK for not knowing many of the idioms because there are just too many. Learning a language is a painstaking process. You can't just FLY BY THE SEAT OF YOUR PANTS because you can GET THE WRONG END OF THE STICK. Learning idioms are fun and we should always GIVE IT A WHIRL. If you can't seem to improve your English like me, just GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD and HIT THE BOOKS. Does it RING ANY BELLS? Please TAKE MY COMMENT WITH A PINCH OF SALT. Just being silly here. 😅

Hi Wes. As a native speaker and former ESL teacher, I'm here to point out your errors lol. In your excellent explanation of "in light of", you ended with something like In light of teaching you more advanced idioms, I'm going to insist that you hit the like button. Obviously, you meant "instead of". Don't confuse your students, perfessor! 😂

Question: When someone says "I'm sure" does that imply 100% certainty?
Ex 1: Bob: Turn left at the stop sign
Tom: Are you sure its left?
Bob: I'm sure its a left turn.
Ex 2: Jim: Should I be worried about this injury?
Rob (not a medical professional): I'm sure you will be fine.
When people say "I'm sure" ....how really sure are they? Is there room for error? Is there a difference between sure vs. certain?
    Thanks!

Would you mind if I ask you?
    timing = 13:48
'We may not meet the deadline, but we're going to work to the better end.'
Would this sentence involve/contain a kind of hope/intention to gain somewhat good results or only struggle to continue doing without any intention.

Thank you for your reply comment.
I'm very happy to receive your decent comment.
Your comment should boost our motivation toward learning English (especially,Interactive English).
Implication of the sentences might depend on the situation/context, thanks to your comment this sentence means, I suppose, they would do their best desperately without any other intention.
I've relieved that your throat/respiratory would seem to be better. Take care of your self.
