Hi, everyone. I've been watching these videos lately and I'm happy for that because I'm learning more. Thanks a million. The C2 phrase (at the end of your rope) doesn't have any possessive pronouns but possessive adjectives. I'm just trying to help.
Hello again, Mr. Wes. I like your videos and your style of teaching, without any doubt. However, any knowledge requires to be refreshed from time to time; this is why I am here again. "Repetitio est mater studiorum", as wise Romans said. Have a nice weekend, all of you under your roof.
An absolutly great lesson! I've already learned some of them in our Speak-Up lesson, so it was also a good review. As you know, linking is one of the most challenging parts of English learning for me, but I'll keep practicing, because I really believe my comprehenshion skill will improve this way.
You are perfect as always! Thank you so much for the great lesson, and special thanks for the Books Ngram Viewer! ❤ Love the way you give us advanced language 🤓
Thank you, Mr. Wes. It's quite advanced selection and excellent comments of every single idiom. Don't be deeply surprised, but accept my special appreciation for your properly shaved face. Recently a male face without an ugly beard is quite rare on UA-cam.
Thank you, so much for all the material that you give to us the english learners; muchas grasias por todo el apoyo que no da , en especial a los que hablamos español.
Now I know I'm going to pass with flying colors my certification, your channel is my favorite on UA-cam and you are teaching better and better every time, greetings from México😀
In light of transmitting a positive, impactful message, this video completely came out of the blue while I was searching for some valuable idiom content for my CPE preparation. Furthermore, I was able to comprehend everything you explained with flying colors, which definitely helped me stay on the ball. As funny as it may sound, I had an identical change of heart to yours this very morning, with regards to pancakes. Nevertheless, I didn't take the easy way out and finally set my mind to it, turning up with some gorgeous, tasty oatmeal pancakes. Last but not least, had it not been for your brilliant UA-cam video, I wouldn't have come up with such elaborate answer. That being said, I reckon that becoming proficient at English implies fighting to the bitter end. Thank you, teacher. Hope you enjoyed this. 😉.
I must be on the ball, couse I knew all of them😊. My native language is Spanish. When I was 12 I moved to NYC, then at 23 I met my Italian husband and moved to Italy. It's been 19 years. I watch and read just about everything in English, because I'm afraid to forget it. Ironically I now know more words in Italian and English than I do in spanish.
It was extreme. It's gonna be in my long time memory. I don't bit about the Bush. Hence, with a definite confidence I am gonna add these in my Daily routine. Thank you wes!

Thank you for such a valuable lesson on idioms. I really like the way you CUT TO THE CHASE. Now that I've learned those I'm ON CLOUD NINE. In fact, there is no CUTTING CORNERS when it comes to learning a language. I first CUT MY TEETH on idioms when I was 18 and after a few years struggling to learn most of them, I was AT MY WITS' END. But we need to GIVE OURSELVES SOME SLACK for not knowing many of the idioms because there are just too many. Learning a language is a painstaking process.
