- The question remains, Does the magna still sound like a boat?
In this video we answer that question by installing a 4 into 1 exhaust onto the magna. stick around till the end and hear the differences and to see a big smokey burnout!
The Magna is still a gorgeous, badass bike 40 years later. The first muscle cruiser !
Thanks! It’s so much fun to ride! Super fast for no reason!
Yamaha VMax was the first muscle cruiser, Honda followed with this and the V65 models.
@@thermos750 the V-Max started in 1985. The Magna in 1982. Magna is the first.
@@robertpopescu5414 Awesome, both legends. The Beatles and Rolling Stones of bikes.
V65 magna is I think the best overall bike. If you can get a good one, and completely maintain it, then you've got an absolute beast.
@@puregameplay7916 I still need to get my hands on one! Just to compare! The v45 is fast I can only imagine what the v65 has!
Waited 8:34 for it. Worth the wait, sounds amazing.
Thanks for watching! I would have a agree with you! It sounds way better in my opinion!
It's always cool to look at new things and find ways to do something different. Regardless of the result. There is no "good" or "bad"! Otherwise, we would not have all the different after-market exhausts we have today. Sometimes we start with a goal in mind but we end up somewhere totally different! That's called innovation or just a different idea!
I like the original sound but I appreciate the enthusiasm & the effort dude!
Stay strong, ride on!
Thank you, I really appreciate it! I took the Magna for a long ride on Sunday and in my opinion it sounds so much better! Just a little louder and it has a better tone!
@@OlsonsGarageIt's always nice to have options (different exhaust sounds) for any bike!
Awesome to see someone enjoying a Magna
I love the Magna so much fun to ride!
My buddy bought a VMax in Tulsa with a Kerker 4 into 1. He lost the muffler on his way back to Arkansas. It sounded so good he never bothered finding a new one. It sounded like an early F1 car!
That’s awesome! They do sounds amazing!!
Yeah, that sounds great. I REALLY like how the 1st gens sound in general.
Me too! I’m going to have a video coming out soon where I finish the exhaust system! It sounds really good!
I have a few V4 Hondas. I changed the boat sound by drilling six 1/2 inch holes in the end baffle. Sounded a lot better but I ended up taking all the baffles out but the one farthest in. Sounds amazing now
Nice!! I was gonna do that, then I found the 4 into 1!
There wasn't anything wrong with the stock exhaust sound. Growing up in the 80s. The bikes sounded cool. And you could drive through your neighborhood. Without pissing people off.
I was just looking for the bike to have a different tone at high rpm, it isn’t really a lot louder then stock
Wow, they really do sound alike. Was that burnout really that easy?
Yes! I did have the bike pushing against the back of the garage but the Magna loves burnouts!
@@OlsonsGarage ah, so not using the front brake
@@allanmcelroy9840 not that time, I have other times tho!
I need to watch this when I get home, my bike leaks and burns oil bad. Do you know of a rebuild kit?
@@zinnzeal360 I don’t know of a rebuild kit, you might be able to buy a good used engine. I have noticed it’s really hard to find parts for there bikes
@@OlsonsGarage yeah it kinda sucks bc I really like it
So how did you get the exhaust on the left to cross over to the right? Did you find a kit or something?
@@narciso19G the 4 into 1 header is all individual pipes going to 1 collector located on the right side!
@@OlsonsGarage ahh okay well I just bought a Honda magna and this is exactly what I’m gonna do to it
@@narciso19G that’s awesome! I think the 4 into 1 header is a great upgrade! I’m going to be doing a suspension upgrade video soon too!
dude why didnt you open the garage beforehand xD
It was too cold outside 😂
new one sounds like too much backpressure maybe
@@baucelabs1159 with the old tip it had a lot of back pressure. I put a new tip on and it sounds a lot better and pulls hard!
That engine burns oil
Maybe a little. I’ll rebuild it when the cams fail 😂
