That's beautiful. I love it 😍
How about the little gems on top? When did you add them?
What resin do you use and or recommend? Also You're my fave because your work is gorgeous AND you actually answer the comments! I know not all can be answered due to being busy but seeing that you do really makes you seem more genuine. Also do you do a top coat?
Hi! Thank you! This is an older video, the resin I'm currently using is Counter Culture DIY. I didn't topcoat this set of coasters, but I do in my newer videos...
They are fabulous 😍 i love the green where did you buy the pigment x
Very pretty....would you have a source as to where to obtain the abalone shells? I havent been able to locate them as of yet....thank you
i get mine from a local seller in Canada... i'm sure they are available online...maybe etsy?
Very pretty! I’m going to have to try these. Is the white Pearl resin also from a mica powder? Love all your work.
yes, the white is also mica
I love the colors! Will this method work just as well with a mold that doesn't have that hole in the middle? Can I just make a bigger circle of the crushed glass or whatever?
Yes, absolutely
Any recommendations on finding abalone shells? I’ve been searching for weeks!
Hi’ where do you buy the abalone shells?🙏🏻
Beautiful coasters, I love the effect
Is the green a mica powder?
And the pearl a pigment paste?
mica powder for both - thank you!
I would need the amount of resin and micas that you used? Thanks!
Absolutely stunning! Where did you get your shells from?
💖thank you, a local supplier
Amazing 👍👍👍,sayang gak ada terjemahannya 👍👍
The green mica powder is pearl mica powder or normal mica powder?
Absolutely stunning! I have tried to replicate the crackle effect but keep failing. I'm using a medium viscosity resin, could that be the problem? Should I be using a low viscosity?
I use a medium as well... so that shouldn't be the issue... are you warming your resin part before you pour? There could be a few things that would affect it... but it's difficult to diagnose without seeing what your result was
I used the same technique. Followed every step but they are all a failure. Can you help me with this? 😢
Amazing... Can we do crackle effect even with pigment paste or should it be only Mica Powder
pigment paste works as well!
DiD you poured olive resin after pot life to create crackling effect
No waiting... all the resin was poured at the same time.. soon after mixing
hello you are amazing..do you have alcohol ink in the pigments?
No, only mica powder in these
Beautiful coasters did you use pearl alcohol ink or pearl mica powder?
Mica powder
Does the clear resin keep the color from completing muddling into each other? I have that issue when trying to create the geode effect
not necessarily - what is the working and curing time of your resin? If it's a slow curing resin (16 - 24 hours) , the colors have a lot more time to mix together and blend. The resin I use has a working time of 20-25 minutes and a curing time of 8-10 hours... so it sets quite quickly, not giving the colors much time to blend.
I got that effect totally by accident (so prob wont be able to do it when I try lol) using 40min work/24hr set time epoxy in a 4oz little elephant shaped mold (sponge holder shaped on Amazon) & while the effect looked coolest at top of its head it did kinda resemble a brain LOL🤣 Was my 1st time pouring a 3D mold & i def used too many colors so the resin at top of its head def thickened up by time I poured it but just randomly kept layering clear resin w/alcohol ink tinted & couple different mica powder colors=fab result! Now just hope I can do it again haha
Ma'am can't understand how this effect comes out. U used first mica powder green
Then mica pearl color?
These are beautiful! Does the resin need to thicken first or is it better if it's more fluid still?
I pour right away, no letting the resin thicken
But I use a medium viscosity resin...if your resin is thinner the results may be different
Could low viscosity affect the no crackle effect?
could you tell me please where you get the crushed shells?? I didn`t see it in your list, please and thank you...
they are abalone shells, I find them locally here in Canada... but they should be available online as well
@@LiaDiaDesigns thank you, I am from Canada also...
Is it important to have some kind of solid (shell, stones, geodes) in the center for this technique to work?
No... you don't have to put anything in the middle
@@LiaDiaDesigns also, is it necessary to use alcohol ink? Or only mica powder (for both outer and inner layer) will suffice for the technique?
Are you using alcohol ink blanding or sinker?
only mica powders in this video
💜💜💜💜💙💙💙💙❤️❤️❤️❤️. Where do you get your abalone shells? Thank you 🙏 😘😘😘😘😘
A local supplier in Canada...I don't think they ship internationally though
@@LiaDiaDesigns Thank you. Canada has all the best stuff 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🤩🤩🤩🤩
@@LiaDiaDesigns I am from Canada can I ask who the supplier is ?
I thought a person would usually pour clear on top of the pigmented epoxy?
I don’t get what I’m doing wrong 😩 I’m going crazy trying to figure it out tho 🤦🏼♀️
What resin are you using?
@@LiaDiaDesigns I have liquid diamonds, total boat table top, and pro marine table top. Lol
Hello, do you ship to the United States?
Yes i do. My website is liadiadesigns.com
