    Not having any wi-fi or so-called smart features is not a "problem," but a valuable (avoidance of unnecessarily future repairs) feature.

      WIFI is not a repaired item per se

    Gas only for me. If I had dual fuel or induction, I couldn't use my copper cookware. That stuff cost too much to not use LOL!
    I hope everyone is having a great day. Health, Wealth and Happiness, Friends.

    Good luck simmering on a blue star range. I have the cook top and it's difficult to do a low simmer even on the smaller burners.

    Blue Star with zero hesitation. Just pray that you don't need parts, they've become very hard to find, especially for my 12 year old 36" range. It's a beast of a range, but the parts problem is frustrating. I've owned Viking (48" Commercial) and Garland (60" Fully Commercial) and the Blue Star seems to be the home version of the Garland. The Viking, my first high end range was a big let down. Very flimsy and far from powerful. However, that was back in the 80's, so I'm confident they've improved immensely since. I'm an all nat gas guy and want noting to do with electric ovens. I've tried the best of them and they're not for me.

      We have bluestar that is a dud. 12 service calls later theyre letting us exchange or choose a new brand. I am on the fence- love the unit, but one burner hasnt worked since day 1

      We are in the same boat. Oven doesn’t work reliably. Numerous service calls, long waits for parts. Just now entertaining the idea of approaching BlueStar for an exchange of some kind. When we bought this house it had 40 year old GE double ovens. Fortunately, when we redid the kitchen, my wife convinced me to move them to the basement. They have saved several dinner parties and holiday dinners.

      Oven never worked right. cycled on and off from the moment you turned it on. took 60 to 90 minutes to hit 300 degrees. Repairman couldn't figure it out so he called BlueStar. Got hold of an engineer there, he recommended replacing a part, took almost a month to get the part. Didn't fix it. Did that 3 more times. Finally, a different engineer said they have a new part to shield the thermocouple from the gas flame, as they are mounted too close to each other. Thats the reason for the frequent cycling. That fixed that problem. Took 9 months. Now it looks like the igniter has failed. More down time. Luckily, when we redid the kitchen we moved the 40 year old GE double ovens to the basement. They saved many dinner parties and holiday dinners.

    Out of all the ranges you have reviewed, do you have a list with the most accurate oven temperature? If not can you do a video reviewing who has the most accurate oven temperature?

    Who is this site being paid by? How can you ignore Viking?? They are an appliance store and they don’t sell Viking products. That’s how!

    • @YaleAppliance1
      @YaleAppliance1  7 місяців тому +8

      Wish I was being paid. That said, we were one of the original Viking dealers back in the 1990s. However, we service what we sell and became alarmed over the quality issues.
      About 10 years ago, one of my service techs called saying the factory wanted him to rewire a harness and I had enough.
      They probably are improved now, but we partnered with Wolf, Thermador, Miele, BlueStar, Monogram and La Cornue.
      Thats enough, I think.

    i would like you to do a fan review?The reason being I live in Las Vegas. It's hot here and I would like to use my oven in the summertime and my wife hates the noisy microwave fan that comes with the house. i am in a wheelchair i can stand up but the fan hood is to high and so i want one with remote so i can sit and cook i wanted a fan with a light the fan itself outside in the chimney so no fan noise.
    Merry Christmas to all wheelchair Larry Merry Christmas to all🤩🤩

      @YaleAppliance1  7 місяців тому +1

      Great question....You could probably rewire a hood with a more accessible control.
