Can i ask is there anything wrong with using polysorbate 80 so u dnt have to shake it everytime this helps it from separating cuz u know oil and water dnt mix lol im sure i wont always remember to shake it lol..and what about adding cosmetic mica powder when i use it for my soaps i add it to my oil so it dnt clump..can these be used in this i know its an all natural body wash which is what im interested in but i dnt want to have to always shake it and mentally i would like it to look pretty color wise lol..just curious thank you for sharing
Hey Melissa! Thanks for watching and commenting :) I haven’t tried adding either so I’m answering based on my personal beliefs and not experience... For the polysorbate 80, I avoid this product because it can carry toxins through the brain barrier. I suppose if you keep the recipe as toxin-free as possible, it shouldn’t be so much of an issue. Just mind the quality of your water ;) I was just going through a basket of stuff in my closet yesterday and saw I had some mica! Again, never tried it in this recipe... let me know if you do and how it works out!
Hi there I've been making soap for about a year now and I found yes there is a small problem what does separation has the viscosity of these oils are not all the same so they do not properly emulsify also small dilution of water which also doesn't mix so there's a couple of things you can do I'll let you experiment yourself as you can still get some separation if ratios aren't quite right but you can't just emulsify you need something called an emulsifier only real natural known emulsifier is egg yolk which allows water and oil to move together seamlessly sea salt in a small ratio as a preservative also works as a thickening agent too much will cause more separation to thicken your soap you can try two natural substances which will not harm your hair if anything improved the fullness and that is cornstarch and xanthan gum hope this helps anybody out there
Not a bad idea, it would make a bigger batch! Adding water does shorten the shelf life of natural products unless you add a preservative. You’d want to use it up faster… I have a video on shelf life if you want to know more :)
I was wondering as a nut and seed allergic i have hard time finding recipes that don't contain coconut or other nuts or crossalergenes. Anyone have ideas.
Have you tried to dupe their favorite scent? While not idea. If you can dupe thier favourite scent as naturally as you can you at least ate getting the body of the ingredients more natural
Good question! Not sure to what it works out given the proportions I use but water is typically around 7, it’s debatable whether or not essential oils have PH, Castile soap is around 9, vegetable glycerin ranges from 5.6 to 9.0 and coconut oil seems to be at around 7. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Hi Sharon, I don’t sell this body wash I just use this recipe. I’m also not affiliated with the Castile soap shown in this video. Thanks for letting me know I can make my own with a gel base! I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment.

I’ve got a question. Will it help get rid of dead skin? I mean yeah scrubbing but will it help? Thank you!

Hi is the castor soap drying to the skin
Hey Angela, thanks for watching! I don’t find it drying, there are oils in it 🙂
Some people’s videos I’ve seen add water to it too, is there a reason you do not ?
Not a bad idea, it would make a bigger batch! Adding water does shorten the shelf life of natural products unless you add a preservative. You’d want to use it up faster… I have a video on shelf life if you want to know more :)
Thank you for all the great advice.
Thanks so much for watching :) Hope it helps!
Would a natural ingredient like lethicine prevent the separation?
Good question… I haven’t tried it!
I was wondering as a nut and seed allergic i have hard time finding recipes that don't contain coconut or other nuts or crossalergenes. Anyone have ideas.
Great question! Unfortunately, I haven’t tried any nut/seed-free recipes but hoping the community has ideas for you ✨
I just watched a video where you can add salt to turn it to gel
Ooooo, good to know! Thanks for sharing!! 🙂🙏✨
How much oil?
Hey Anna! 3 TBSP of fractionated coconut oil 🥥 Enjoy!! M.
Love the video! TMI question but, is this mixture also good to wash our woman part? 🤣
Thank you! 🙏 Well, without asking for more TMI 😝, I’d say stick to the surface areas 💃🏻
This doesn’t make sense; the product already has jojoba and coconut oil. You can just add water.
Thanks for watching and sharing your version of this recipe!
Have you tried to dupe their favorite scent? While not idea. If you can dupe thier favourite scent as naturally as you can you at least ate getting the body of the ingredients more natural
You can probably dupe most scents using high-quality essential oils. I just go with what I like 😃
Ph level? Thanks

Want me to buy this?? 1st don't put others down. Also make your Castile soap. Vs your way. Buy a gel base.. Melt it down add what you want. Done
