ABS Instructions for Dodge Avenger 2011

- I couldn't find anything online so I thought I'd make a quick video on how I replaced my ABS sensor for a Dodge Avenger. This is after I already took out the old sensor so it's a few clips of what I did at the end.

3:47 This is why I don't do anything under my Avenger. I'm claustrophobic and I constantly feel like my jack is going to drop at any minute. Even with jack stands and putting my wheels under the car, I feel like I'm going to get pinned under it. I know this guy isn't using one, but I envy people who have lifts in their garage. Hell I envy people who have garages and paved driveways lol. I always look like I've been mud wrestling after I work under my truck... which I'm thankful that I've never had to jack up.
I think it's an avenger thing hahaha even with Jack stands on BOTH sides and a jack still there for that extra "support" I didn't even like reaching under it. And like you said, even with the car flat on the ground my brain goes to panic mode thinking what if this collapsed and pins me.... horrible feeling! Glad I'm not the only one who feels that shit and is working on the good old concrete and blacktop hahaha

Sorry, never saw the comments. Yes, I had to pull the seats down and go through the trunk space.
I know the video is two years old, but is it the same way on the front wheels?

What made you change the sensor my freind has same car she starts it up and the abs activates then quits doesnt do except when you first put it in gear and start to go after that no problems while driving
Went to Advanced Auto Parts and did a check engine light analysis. It told me exactly what was going on. I'd suggest taking the car in and having someone analyze it. My ABS light didnt come on at all for this problem.
Gosh it's got to be nice to live somewhere out of the road salt winter driving rust belt. My car wasn't that clean underneath when it was two years old.
Is this the same for the 2008? I cannot find any videos for how to replace all 4
The rear wheels on the 2008 will be the same, but I'm not sure about the front. I never had to replace the front ABS sensors. The only difference would be the actual configuration of the wires and the specific sensor itself if different at all.
Do you have to do both sides?
Sorry man, didnt see comments on this. No, only one side as needed. I went to an auto parts store and had them do a check engine light analysis, told me which side to replace.
i put the new wire in and reset my computer but then the abs light stays on
I got a 2012 changed both fronts but how do I reset it ty so much please anyone

Anyone please traction emergency brake and abs sensor 2012 avenger I changed both fronts and it's still showing up please I'll pay u if u can help on my mother please
I don't have the car anymore, but check to make sure the sensor is tight in there. I didn't tighten it enough the first time I replaced it and my light stayed on too. I had to reposition it, and make sure it was tight and it worked.
