Airlines operating out of Terminal 1:
Allegiant, American, Delta, Omni, Southwest, and Spirit
Allegiant and Spirit airlines serve A Gates, Southwest and Spirit Airlines serve B Gates, Southwest also serves C Gates, and Delta and American airlines serve the D Gates of Terminal 1.
    The D gate area is the largest concourse at LAS with 42 gates numbered D1, D3-D12, D14, D16-D22, D24-D26, D32-D43, and D50-D58.
Domestic and international flights operate from the D gates, and the concourse has a good selection of shops and restaurants, a United Club Lounge, LAS Centurion Lounge, and The Club at LAS.
The center of the concourse is where the airport tram station is situated, and passengers can ride the blue line from the D gates to the A, B, or C gates, or the red line to the E gates.

This seems pretty well organized for what looks like an older airport terminal. The narrow hallway with a circular room at the end was common back in the day in terminals that have now been recently been demolished and replaced with new facilities. This one doesn’t look too bad though. I like how it’s pretty much all windows. LAX’s old terminal 3 had a similar design to the A gates or B gates, but that one was showing its age and had a less than stellar layout (no separate seating for each gate) despite its characteristic high ceilings. It needed a replacement more.

If I have a connecting flight from Vegas to New York (American airlines) will I have to go through TSA again?

if you're changing gate areas (like from the D gates to the A gates, for example) you may have to.
