Watching you be brought to tears over these books makes me want to read them all immediately! You are an excellent promoter of Australian literature! ❤
Ok, I had been saving this until a) I had finished Dusk (which I did in tears on Saturday, possibly my favourite ending of a book ever, I will say no more for now) which was my first book of 2025 - what a way to start b) till I needed a good pick me up and you have just been fabulous company after a very stressful day fighting snow to get across the UK for work. Looooooved this, which seems an odd thing to say when you cried so much bless you, my favourite book tube video of the year so far . Loved the book thoughts, loved how much you made me want to read the three I haven't (may be heading to the Readings website) loved the b-roll, loved the chat, loved it was an hour, loved it all.
I'm new to your channel and I LOVED this vlog! Loved, loved! I want to read all of these books at some point. I ordered Dusk from Readings in Australia because I can't wait. until August when it will be released in the US. Flames too.
I absolutely loved this vlog!! I really love hearing about Aussie books, so more please. Is it weird to say that it's a good thing you cry so much at books because you're obviously picking the ones that you connect to deeply, which is what we all want. So - you inspired me, and today I started Home by Larissa Behrendt- I bought this a while ago, possibly after hearing you recommend it??? I've read the rain heron and flames, must get to the other two. Where should I start with Helen Garner?? I know how much you love her! Xxx
Happy new Year. Hi from NSW. I absolutely love Helen and I wondered about this book as I’m not into football at all but it is so much more than that. I’m also looking forward to reading Ingas new book.
I loved The Rain Heron and Flames. I know you watch Simon's channel and he highly recommended Robbie Arnott too. I found your lovely videos through his channel. I hope he goes to Australia one day. I was there in 1992. I will read Dusk and Limberlost eventually. Happy New Year, thank you.
Happy new year Natalie 🎉Isn’t it frustrating that in 2025, (with all the innovations in technology); we still have to wait a year ( or more) for a book to be published in U.K., following publication in Australia/NZ! Dusk is on preordered but won’t arrive until August/September here. Why can’t books be available digitally or on audio at the same time worldwide?
I feel so strongly that you should be vegan or vegetarian. It's very clear how much you care about the environment and nature and the meat industry goes against all of that. And to stop supporting that is the biggest way we individuals can impact the environment and thevsuffering of animals. ❤
