Searching for a wallet and saw the Ridge, but they are like 70 plus bucks. So I decided to watch a video to see what it's all about. After seeing this, I'm so glad I didn't purchase it, lol. I mead it is two pieces of ABS plastic with some small screws in them and an elastic band around it. I'm sure there is RFID blocking material in the frame, but seriously, this looks like it should cost $7 on Temu, haha. I'll keep looking but ty so much for the video, you explained the features well.
Yes, the Ridge Wallet can scratch up your cards over time. The tight fit and rigid metal frame cause friction when sliding cards in and out, especially if you're frequently accessing them. This is more noticeable on cards with raised numbers or finishes that are prone to scuffing. If card condition is a concern, it’s something to keep in mind with minimalist metal wallets like the Ridge.
That’s the only downside to the wallet. You have to stack all your cards instead of having them spread out separately like a normal wallet. BUT that’s also what makes it compact and minimalistic.
I just got a RIDGE Titanium since it was in sale for....$95😬. I believed it was revolutionary and got good reviews. I find it to be unusable. It is much too tight and makes getting cards out an exercise in frustration that I don't have the patience for. Forget about carrying much cash or being able to organize it because its just going to be folded together so if you need cash you have to take it all out of the clip, unfold and find what you need. Also- my CA drivers license became so scratched by constantly folding out the cards that the scannable bar code on the back no longer scanned- which I found out at the airport. It is also hard on credit card chips since the cards are so tightly packed together. I do not recommend the RIDGE.
Ridge wallets are way over prices. I bought something basically the same for 25bucks. The only convenience it provides is being smaller then a regular wallet.
HEY! I'm Maggie and I'm a marketer for a new wallet company. We are currently conducting market research and delving into the world of minimalist wallets. We've been looking at competitors like The Ridge and Ekster, both of which are known for their sleek designs. Now we want to collect some opinions for product improvement and video shooting. We want to know the following 2 questions: 1. In what scenarios do you mainly use minimalist wallets? 2. What are your views or opinions on wallets such as The Ridge? If your reply is adopted by us, we will send you a new one as a gift after the product is improved and tested.
@@wangmaggie3087 I've watch vids on both the ridge and Eskter.. I'm gonna have to roll with the Esker as it looks like I'll have to dig for the card I want especially if its in the middle with the Ridge.
This is exactly what I found. Small? Yes, looks good? Yes. Very hard to get cards into and out of? Absolutely. Hard to get money into and out of? Yes. Frustrating? Absolutely.
Get the ridge: amzn.to/3NEAuyk

Maybe $15-20 but defiantly not for $140-190 as I've seen on the Ridge official website.
Agree... spectacular rip-off.

Cool looking wallet but seems like a PITA to get one card out quickly.

sorry you had a bad experience :(
I feel like it would easily roll out of your pocket in certain situations

I prefer popup style wallets
I think wallets are dead in general with the use of Apple Pay and Samsung pay
Absolutely wrong!! That is where hackers get your info!! Wake up!!
not dead
Oh yes I also leave my drivers license loosely in my pocket
Soooo glad i didnt buy one. Thank you man this is a great review

That looks clunky as hell…
One of the dumbest inventions I’ve ever seen. Does absolutely everything worse than a normal wallet.
