I’ve been using the Carbon Fiber Ridge wallet for a few years now. I really like it, however, moving cards in and out of it eventually scratch the strip on your cards to where you’ll need to get them replaced. Other than that, I still am using the wallet.
If you want a slim minimalist design, with quick access to your main cards and the style and feel of high quality leather... Take a good look at the Trayvax Ascent. It'll hold 7 cards, 5 folded bills, and looks beautiful. It feels great in the hand and pocket. 11:23
Good video. I would have liked more if there is more information on advantages and disadvantages of all the wallets. Like for example using ridge wallet when you are in a shop, if you card is in the middle of the pack, you will have to take out every card and find for your right one and all the cards are clearly visible to everyone around. And does Eskster wallet offers warranty on the wear and tear for paying such a high price. Thanks
Thanks for the feedback! I'd highly recommend watching my individual reviews of the wallets, they should have more info on what you are looking for. You also can find them on my site: gear43.com
I have tried 6 of these and none have moved me from my Chums. I am on my second Chums. I go to the gym 5 times a week and they use a qr code for entry. I can use the from without taking out the card. I also carry a small multitool inside and maybe once or twice a month I carry my charge all while having 8 cards I keep. I do not have keys for cars so can carry two keys (home and bike lock) on the key right.
consider free google wallet on your phone and put your qr code for you gym in the wallet you don't even need your wallet anymore , have been doing that for a long time it is way more convenient
Would like to see other ridge wallets tested. I had a ridge wallet for a long time but I got the 24k gold plated wallet. They have always been on top of replacing face plates with the life time warranty but I feel like there is a lot of quality issues, and rubbing off from paint inside of walls to my card. Would love to see a review of the high end wallets from them.
Interesting to hear! I just came out with the written review version for the Aurora Carbon Fiber (includes a video), which they gifted me, yesterday, if you want to read through that: gear43.com/ridge-wallet-forged-aurora-carbon-fiber-review That's the highest-end one I have fully tested so far.
I''m from the old school. There are times when the computer is down at the fast food restaurant and you are hungry or at the gas station and you can't use your credit card. Your car is running low on fuel. What are you going to do? Don't like people seeing how much paper money I have in my Wallet. When I am at the cash register and have to make a purchase with paper money. The number one wallet allows people to do that. What happens if you have some unscrupulous person standing in line behind you knowing how much paper money you have? I like the wallet to have compartments to hold my paper money. These wallets serve a good purpose be have not been thought completely out for unforeseen situations that would be necessary.
I have a challenge for you, I'm looking for a minimalist wallet that holds 8 or 9 cards and cash, the difficult part is that i don't want to have to fold my cash more than once and it can't be visible from the outside of the wallet

I’m looking for a wallet that doesn’t destroy my cards. My ridge wallet is destroying my credit cards numbers are rubbing off , plastic film pealing off . I want a wallet where my cards are not rubbing together
I haven't seen many minimalist wallets that fit that, the additional layer that is required between the cards starts adding quite a bit of bulk unfortunately...
Have you thought about an Aviator Wallet? Their wallets come with a coin tray, which might be a good option for yah. You can take a closer look at it on their site here (Paid Link): sovrn.co/g6avqra
I guess what I’ve never understood about the minimalist wallet crowd is the complaint about low storage capacity. Who the hell is walking around with more than 4 or 5 cards in a wallet? What kind of life do you live? And if you do need 15+ cards, why are you trying to go minimalist? Get a giant ass wallet. This complaint has never made sense to me.
@@KillerFishFromTampa just abuse really, I have a ridge that I’m not a huge fan of but it doesn’t take three days to dry out. My cards are still screwed so it’s a revolving door of mishaps.
I think the ridge wallet only made it so high in the list due to sentimental value. Ridge wallets aren’t very user friendly and they are pretty boring.
I'd actually disagree with that, I have a few different Ridge wallets now, and I find that if I'm looking for something slim that isn't noticeable in my pocket, I end up reaching for one of their products. Thats coming from someone with over 30 minimalist wallets at this point.

Mal ehrlich davon war nicht eins wirklich toll, weil die alle komplett gleich waren. Ich finde das Video nicht informativ und auf Grund der Auswahl der angeblich best Top10 Wallets, nicht gut.

I'm consistently getting more wallets, and next time I put together a "Best Of" on this topic, it will likely be quite different to account for more.
Do not buy steel wallet, again warning do not buy steel wallet, there will be time when you need to place all your things in one pocket, either the steel wallet spoil your phone or your key scratch your wallet. Go with the leather wallet.
@@Gear_43 You can't compare Apple to Ridge wallet. They're a software and hardware company that is more complex. It would make more sense if they were paying higher salaries if it was made in the USA to compensate for the high price tag. Lastly, is it really a wallet? It's a card holder at best that mess up your cards.
