Randy’s is the best! I waited in line inside my car after driving up to LA one early morning, so hungry! They must have felt sorry for me, cause when I got up to the window, the girl said my box was free cause I had to wait so long, and they apologized !
I love the way they are super famous yet still only charge $1.15 for a glazed doughnut, if that was here (London, uk) it would be £5 a doughnut

A good donut is definitely one of the best things. The best donut i ever had is from the Doughnut Plant in NYC. Their original vanilla and creme brulée donut is to die for! All their donut are amazing
I lived in Redondo Beach when I was pregnant and Primo's Buttermilk doughnuts were my craving. That was in 1976, (Sounds ages ago). They are still my example of a Buttermilk donut. No one comes close. Magic and ratio is so balanced.
Randy's when close to airport iconic tourists local.
No joke, when I was in LA I ended up at Randy's Donuts on accident because I took a wrong exit. That was my first time there and they were probably some of the best donuts I've had in a while

I live in Chicago and I don’t like the food much. It’s good but there’s just so many chains and not enough hole in the walls or family owned places
I’m a hour away from LA so...
I remember sometimes eating at a donut shop on the way to musicians Institute guitar craft Academy from where I lived at the time. I will check out these other places in due time. When it comes to my favorite donut, my best description is the more dense texture that has a bit of crunch and bite. More bread-ish as I described. That texture, and usually vanilla frosting and sprinkles on top. Being from San Francisco originally, I developed that preference from a local donut shop in the Richmond district where I lived, and the shop is thankfully still there from when I last visited in 2019. I remember my babysitter would sometimes take me and my younger brother James there back in the day.
Vanilla frosting and rainbow sprinkles with the dense bread texture, has always been my favorite because of taste and nostalgia attached to it.

My dad used to take me and my family to get some Randy's Donuts. It's either a long drive-through or a long line. I go at night on Sunday. Been there 10 times only since it's like a 30-minute drive from my house and my dad works every day until maximum * pm. But those few times I've gone, I've enjoyed it. It's very much worth it.

Donut Man in Glendora. Used to be Fosters donuts. Their custard bismarcks are the best anywhere (filled to order!), and their fresh peach and strawberry donuts can't be beat!
