I took pictures before disassembling my microwave and I STILL managed to lose track of which wires went where. This video was a HUGE help in getting the wires back into the right place. Thank you VERY much for this.

Excellent video -- had the exact same problem with a KitchenAid KHMS150LBL-3 Microwave and this video walked me perfectly through each step of replacing the magnetron and diode myself. Saved me big bucks and I appreciate it. Now hoping to get a few more years out of our trusty KitchenAid. Thanks!

Mine as a kitchenaid KHMS145J. Loud noise no heat. Replaced both the diode and magnetron. It works! The step by step instructions were perfect. One comment - when reassembling I think it’s easier to attach the door latch prior to the two panels because this gives you better view. Thanks!

My GE Profile Microwave worked for about 5-7 seconds then shut off. Further exam revealed burning/sparking in HV Inverter/Transformer. Digital continuity checked OK for all door switches, primary thermostat, shut off fuse, etc. Replaced Transformer with new part. Everything worked fine except 'No Microwave Heating'. Next, replaced Magnetron and Relay Switch on the circuit board. Everything worked fine except 'No Microwave Heating'. Magnetron humming seems normal! Cleaned mica wave board inside of unit, no sparking here. Can anyone advise what the problem may be. Again, everything worked fine including settings for time, power levels, clock, etc. when started up except 'No Microwave Heating'. Last resort before dropping out to the curb for the landfill! Any ideas greatly appreciated! HELP!

Why do you have to change the high voltage diode if it test okay. Are you just assuming it is bad too?

Great video. Simple fix. Did all the steps. Verified that I installed the correct mag and HV diode (number matched exactly the parts that came out). When I got to the re-test point, everything seemed to work great … for two seconds (powered on, started heating, no extra noise - sounded like it was supposed to), but then it completely died. No smoke, no noise, just nothing. There is power at the outlet, so it didn't blow an external fuze, but when I plug-in, there is no power to the microwave. I'm guessing an internal fuze is blown, but if that is the case, then there is some other problem. Any suggestions????
