For the odd eye clip, they were the outfits for Scream, Boca, and Black or White. Since Handong wasn’t able to be there for those songs, they wore the outfits again in this clip so Handong can experience it. So nice of them🥲 and at the end Handong is revealed to be the “masked dancer”

I know that is REALLY weird because first off, I have never met or spoken to any of these ladies in my life and second, Dongie has been back for more than two years. I really love Odd eye's era. Because HanDong comeback with the team after almost one year. And i can really feel that they put a lot of work on HanDong. You can see HanDong had more lines, center, even a special clip with her as the protagonist. Also the Odd Eye Dance Video (Dystopia ver.) have the both performance outfits of Scream and Boca, that was the time when she was absent. This dance video maybe is the only chance for InSomnia to watch HanDong wear those era outfits. And the transition is crazy, actually every transiting time have reason, like they have some dance's move is same in Scream, so that time will transit to the Scream's outfits, Boca too. They really love HanDong😭😭and truly know how InSomnia want to see.❤
There was another 4 memory performance that was broadcast on Gahyeon's birthday, and the girls all wrote a message on their hands to wish her happy birthday and slowly showed it while they was preforming the song. The things these girls come up with is adorable, makes you love them even more. Thanks for the video. I hope you're still okay after doing your deep dive! "Odd Eye" dystopia version hits straight to my heart. I mean at first I was digging the outfits and how the girls were playing with their hats and vest during the choreo was very cute. Alarm bells were ringing because the suits and hat outfits was from one RtU promo pic and that's it. Nothing ever after that except photocards. So I knew I was in trouble when I saw them. But then the "Scream" outfits hit in the first chorus and I lost my mind. And then when I saw HanDong in their with her own "Scream" outfit, I squealed. The the transition to the "BOCA" outfits with HanDong happened and I died and went to heaven. I wasn't sure but was that a delayed reaction to the era suits? If so, that's hilarious. I also really appricated the "Scream" and "BOCA" transitions when HanDong was in the center. The mask and flag effects were top notch transitions with HanDong unveiling the mask at the end. Such a treat from Dreamcatcher and company and very appreciated. I didn't know how much I needed this til I saw it. I was not ready. Lol "Wind Blows" play color version is just visually stunning. Everyone looks beautiful and badass. The outfits are on point. I saw that gulp at JiU's part haha. If you have a 4k television, watch this on that. It looks amazing. The only complaint I have was we need a front center shot of the dance break! Not this weird flying camera off angle. I guess that's what the dance practice and fancams are for, but where else can we get a shot of the dance break with this high visual fidelity. BTW the other play color versions of their songs are just a stunning. Your prediction for "Poison Love" is so spot on, haha. But the mv definitely makes me like the song more. It looks like you melting while watching this haha. While the other self made MV's in the dystopia trilogy were more literal lyric translations. This one takes the cake with being a HanDong love song. Agree with you about having made the mv all about her since she was missing the in the last few MV's. Talk about transitions, you need to watch the Black or White videos; Dingo performance (safe to react to) and Music Bank (not safe to react to). Wind Blows does have a dance practice video. For the longest time Chase Me they considered their hardest choreo till Wind Blows. But in the last month they've been saying Odd eye is the hardest. What's funny about Poison Love and Handong is her nickname used to be Wuhan Poison (obviously that went away, cause ya know Wuhan is where COVID supposedly originated from). The girls early on gave each member nicknames like; JiU - Daejeon Hurricane cause of her dancing, Yoohyeon - Incheon Firefist cause she is considered the hot member, Siyeon - Daegu Bay of Blood (I've seen a different but similar translation), etc... Was hoping you'd pick the showcase for 4 Memory, I just love how far Siyeon holds the mic away for that high note.

So, this stretch of material was pretty emotional for a lot of Insomnias, because Handong was FINALLY back, and got to wear the costumes for the videos she missed, and they re-integrated her into the choreo, rejiggered the lines so she got vocals others had filled in for, and then the 'unmasking", because they'd used a masked backup dancer to represent her while she was gone, and pf course a whole ass "Everyone loves Handong" special clip.. It's pretty rare for kpop groups to devote so much care to keeping a member "present" when they have to go on haitus for whatever reason, I think the convention in kpop is to mostly politely ignore the absence of members and not to speak about it it (the subtext being that often members are missing because they're recovering from injuries, or exhaustion, or mental health struggles, and kpop, as much as I love it, is just not very transparent about that kind of thing most of the time).
I could see why it would be emotional, it felt so good to see her back in videos and hear her in songs and for me it was only a few days. I couldn't imagine going almost a year waiting for her return! 🥰

The dance version of "Odd Rye" was the first video of Dreamcatcher ever for me, also it was during watching this that DAMI became my bias...Watch the "dance flip spin" towards the end, my jaw fell to the floor when I saw this.
The outifts for the Dysopia video were suits from the Road to Utopia jacket shooting, scream suits and boca. Handong at the end in a sense removing the mask was satisfying, a direct reference to the masked dancer. There were a handful of times where she got to wear the scream suits- seven spirits online for example. And there was a short period where she wore boca outfits she returned late in that era. Poison love MV.. I would watch that k-drama. I wanted not only Dong’s love but also Siyeon.. Siyeon can flirt with me.. The let’s make Dong the center of this self made as she was missing from the others.. and maybe a sneaky reference to her Wuhan Poison nickname from nightmare era. Wind blows.. that choreo hits and I love Dami’s rap so much in that. Odd eye, not wind blows, the one that has a dance practice with random picked funny costumes. There is also the normal Dance MV and the normal dance practice with dancers.
I absolutely loved the Handong mask remove! So epic loved it! I would watch that k-drama alllllllll day long, on repeat!! I've added the odd eye dance practice to the new list!

So, this stretch of material was pretty emotional for a lot of Insomnias, because Handong was FINALLY back, and got to wear the costumes for the videos she missed, and they re-integrated her into the choreo, rejiggered the lines so she got vocals others had filled in for, and then the 'unmasking", because they'd used a masked backup dancer to represent her while she was gone, and pf course a whole ass "Everyone loves Handong" special clip.. It's pretty rare for kpop groups to devote so much care to keeping a member "present" when they have to go on haitus for whatever reason, I think the convention in kpop is to mostly politely ignore the absence of members and not to speak about it it (the subtext being that often members are missing because they're recovering from injuries, or exhaustion, or mental health struggles, and kpop, as much as I love it, is just not very transparent about that kind of thing most of the time).
I could see why it would be emotional, it felt so good to see her back in videos and hear her in songs and for me it was only a few days. I couldn't imagine going almost a year waiting for her return! 🥰
I noticed you didn’t have a video for New Days. Insomnacy has a Music Film for New Days and Fairytale; it might be a good idea to watch them after Reason, or with the anniversary films for the feels.

The dance version of "Odd Rye" was the first video of Dreamcatcher ever for me, also it was during watching this that DAMI became my bias...Watch the "dance flip spin" towards the end, my jaw fell to the floor when I saw this.

The outifts for the Dysopia video were suits from the Road to Utopia jacket shooting, scream suits and boca. Handong at the end in a sense removing the mask was satisfying, a direct reference to the masked dancer. There were a handful of times where she got to wear the scream suits- seven spirits online for example. And there was a short period where she wore boca outfits she returned late in that era.
Poison love MV.. I would watch that k-drama. I wanted not only Dong’s love but also Siyeon.. Siyeon can flirt with me.. The let’s make Dong the center of this self made as she was missing from the others.. and maybe a sneaky reference to her Wuhan Poison nickname from nightmare era.

In 4 Memory the finger pointing they were doing was to make the Hangul symbol ㄱ which is called gi-yeok (기역). This sounds like gi-eok (기억) which is "memory".

Dongie with the mask at the end of Odd Eye is because in Scream one of the choreographers wore a black mask in her place :) so she was like taking it off bc she's back now :D

There's a special stage of 4 Memory where the members had a birthday message written on their hands for Gahyeon, and would flash it when they were center on camera.
Funny interaction after that 4 memory performance, Gahyeon wasn't prepared for Siyeon's high note and said she got scared when she pulled it out.
