  • After a couple of days of working with the Ortur Laser Master 3, I am impressed with its performance. This machine is on the high end of the diode price range but works well and is very fast. The image burn quality is very good.

hello there so is that black bottom plate not a honeycomb as I see you were raising the work material and not cutting directly right on it?

It is a cutting surface kinda like a griddle. I raised the material just to show it drops

I see you have used both the ORTUR LM3 and the Atomstack A24. Which did you like better? the Ortur now has a 20W version as well.

Capabilities wise, they are very similar in performance. Either one I think would be a good machine. The Ortur has an advantage if you plan to do larger items because it can be expanded to a longer frame. The A24 has a smaller work area and cannot be extended. On the other hand, the enclosure and accessories such as fan and camera are nice with three A24. The Ortur enclosure is cloth type.
Decide how big of a work area you want and how important the enclosure is…

Hey bud! Digging the channel! Honest opinion, would you go with the Ortur LM3 or Xtool D1pro? I'm looking for a starting 10w and have narrowed down to these two

Both of those machines are pretty well matched in power output. The LM3 moves around a little faster. Only big difference is the LM3 will work on wifi with lightburn.

I've had the same issues with quitting in middle of a job and getting Error 9 message. I'm wondering if the LM3 isn't level would that mess up the gyroscope? My shop floor is not too level! I also wonder if the Y axis belts aren't tight enough?
Took me a minute to realize you're mm/sec. 310 white space seemed awful slow!!

I am sure it was something I did. I just prefer mm/s

Thanks, for sharing. Do you engrave with the air assist on? Do you leave the cone on or off when engraving?

I always run some air assist to keep smoke off the lens. About a 1/4 power on this one. I never take the nozzles off.
