My grandmother's farm house was an old sanatorium later a poor farm . We had a room in the basement called The Green Room where we kept all the canned foods ..it was terrifying. Anyway long story short I went down to go get spiced peaches because Grandma want to make peach pie and the door slammed shut and someone pulled my hair so hard that I fell backwards. I screamed bloody murder I pounded on the door so hard that I had bruised my hands. I was crying hysterically trying to open the door and I heard a voice in my ear in this horrible raspy gutteral voice GET OUT. I was so scared I peed my pants I was 9 years old and I peed my pants begging to be let out my uncle had to break down the door. I never went down there again. Throughout the house there would be random footsteps at night and then there would be a silhouette of a person I would see in the middle of the night standing in my doorway. As I got older I had found out that the Farmhouse was the sanatorium and then turned into a poor farm and the bedroom that I stayed in, the Lilac room was Bonnie's room. Bonnie was the girl with black hair and green eyes like myself she died of TB the silhouette that I saw was the nurse Margaret Sue (Margie) she would stand in the doorways and check on the children at night to make sure they were still breathing. My grandmother told me last year when we were talking about the haunted Farmhouse that when I had gotten bronchitis real bad she saw the nurse sitting on my bed and stroking my hair. Margie looked up at my grandma and made a shish motion across her lips she said that was the first time that I had slept through the night in weeks. Grandma still lives in that house. Went to visit last year prior pandemic woke up to Margie in my room. Grandma said she (Margie ) was happy to have us kids(6) home. Grandma came out as intuitive / clairvoyant last year to us as well. She was always very aware of Margie and the children and talks to her constantly in the house. She is very much a part of the family. Found out the Green Room used to be the cold room where they stored the bodies and there is a nasty Spirit down not sure of his origins but he is definitely violent. Grandma says he's buried down there in the dirt. Just thought I'd share since your house seems bonded to you as Grandma's is to her.

i have a single ghost we think and it’s not as bad as it seem! the scariest part is the dead of night. a few creaky floor board, knocks running, voices and things moving. there’s not as much activity at night atm, more 4-5pm and when i’m gettint ready. i do believe she is female and she does communicate with us through writing and says she brings peace! at the moment anyways

A child died in my childhood home and I didn't know till I was An adult . The 16 years I was there I heard childs laughter every night in the halls , the radio playing kids music every evening that would stop when you got half way down the stairs, and regularly you'd here the shower running then go the bathroom and the shower was off . My 3 olders siblings and parents all also hear these things . My brother also used to say he saw shadows that looked like people in his room everynight which we later found out is the room the kid died in .

Same stuff was happening in my house right after my mom died. I'm a devout Catholic and we believe in purgatory so obviously, if someone is in purgatory, praying for that person's soul is relief to them and helps them journey to Heaven quicker. When we started praying a lot for my mom, everything stopped. Marilyn was a very troubled woman. It sounds like she went to purgatory based off of all that weird stuff happening in your house. Pray for her soul. As a side note, there are HUNDREDS of accounts like this related to the reality of purgatory. There's even a museum dedicated to it in a church close to the Vatican. If anyone is curious about the topic, I strongly suggest looking it up. 😊

Anyways, to add to your ghost story. I live on Skye, one night I got a tap on the door. Nobody was around so like your friend locked up the house and settled for the night. There was an atmosphere that built up in the house and the next day I was styling my hair and in the mirror and behind me I saw a little girl with long brown hair. I freaked right out! My friend advised me to light a white candle and told me to tell the the child to go to the light. I don't think she has left, I have strange things happen from time to time.
It will sound bizarre but I used to live in a very old home it was i guess built somewhere between 60s and 70s and i was always PISSED OFF. one time our cupboards in kitchen started to move like me and my brother thought it was earthquake but i looked at the light bulb it wasnt moving we quickly get out of our home and run to our aunties home which was 15 min away and i remember a girl who was a guest of us said "i would be too scared to live in this house alone" i just never forget this. Not so long after we moved out they wrecked the hiuse to built something new!! It was a scary memory in mind till this day...

This happened to my dad i live in a house that was built in 1912 and something happened to me as well i heard bouncing in my brothers room but everyone was downstairs so i ran and told my mom and she didn't believe me👁👄👁
