I’m a big believer in material items holding energy so I think that between the house and the vintage items you’ve brought into it you probably have a bunch of different energies in there, but sadly you won’t know if they’re good or bad. I think it’s especially true with old jewelry bc jewelry is such a personal thing, so if you have a piece or two of vintage jewelry that was loved by someone else, you have their energy with you as well.
I recall hearing that leftover energy still thrives in places, and we as humans are all energy & pretty much everything in nature is, too. So it could be residual energy from the previous residents :) I think that's why people "see" apparitions, its residual energy doing what it did when it was in our physical form. That's probably why multiple places have Marilyn energy, while her actual soul is in the afterlife/heaven (i understand not everyone believes this & this is just my belief, we all have reasons and find comfort in our chosen beliefs :D) You can search it but that's why spirits can pass through walls, because that wall most likely didn't exist when the person was alive, but the energy can pass, as it did. I lived in a small town that had a habit of throwing up echoes from the past.. the scariest one for me was what sounded like an horrific car crash. I wasn’t the only person who heard it either. I rushed from my house and people near the shops and houses all ran to the street too, but there was nothing. No car, no accident. It was around 8.30 at night. I’ve had a couple of strange experiences of my own as well. When you remember that time isn’t linear and there are far more than just the four dimensions that make up our perceived world, it’s no surprise that sometime time can slip in strange ways.

We have ghosts in our home. When a family member passes away they come to this house. This is my hubbies grandparents home and family gatherings would be here. We get different scents, noises, voices, etc. Now we are starting to get different scents when we are in our vehicle. Last Thursday we got a strong smell of a hospital room smell. It lasted five minutes then gone. I don't mind our ghosts. As long as they hurt anyone.
