This is why single-man or nonprofessional indie devs really should stick to ideas they know will only retain interest for couple of hours. Time and time again I see indie devs biting off more than they can chew, trying to make a game that really doesn't work with little content, so you get a game that either is too short or too long with incredibly dull and broken content. And that's what indie devs struggle with the most: Making enough content. You sure can make a game that lasts 2 hours, but 12? 30?!?!?!
No, the game was a solo dev project. If it took him 4 months to trouble shoot the cultist AI then it’ll take years to port to vr . Especially since he has no prior experience, but I would like to be proved wrong. This game in vr is a good concept
I'm completely willing to overlook the animations and models simply over the fact that one person made this. Games made by one person is a massive achievement regardless

I just finished it earlier today, for the fanatics I would just bait em to the train and use the train weapons to kill em. I would also use jumping over various objects to keep my distance or increase it if they were close
Honestly, yes about the appeal of trains. Every august, and september, and sometimes december, and in November once, I can hear the same steam engine from my house. It was a good way to grow up.
13:54 If you liked Nun Massacre then you should really consider covering Puppet Combo's new game - Stay out of the House. It's 10 times more complex and terrifying with multiple stalkers and tons of puzzles to solve. The butcher can even set up traps like trip wires and bear traps or turn on poison gas when he notices you entering vents. You have three chances to escape and each time you get captured you wake up in a different part of the house without all of your stuff. Please consider checking it out, the game is genuinely amazing, but sadly it didn't get the attention it deserves.
"Report Noise Event" and a Throw item mechanic would help make the stealth parts funner instead of "on see pawn"(like farcry rock-throw). Glad to see this game getting attention tho✌
I do hope this does well enough for a sequel because I think a second game expanding on the concept and mechanics with a more open city map where you are against a bus would be cool.
You know what's really cool about the setting, imo, it seems to parody some of the more creepy Thomas the tank engine episodes, with the rusted trains, ruined buildings and thick fog. It kinda made me feel a bit nostalgic but also freaked out.

This needs to be a VR game, no?
That'll cause heart attack by constant popups and broke your expensive piece of gaming equipement
No
No, the game was a solo dev project. If it took him 4 months to trouble shoot the cultist AI then it’ll take years to port to vr . Especially since he has no prior experience, but I would like to be proved wrong. This game in vr is a good concept
15:46 It's all good, Gman; I watched _Fairly Odd Parents_ as a kid, so I've already been exposed to Cosmo's crippling trauma from "Super Toilet".
Crossover of the century. Love two star. His game " My Beautiful Paper Smile" is a work of art
The chase sequences are like those Jurassic Park arcade games being chased by the T-Rex. Perfect formula.
I'm still impressed that this game is made by one person. And that they put in some really cool little things in the game that I've never seen before.
made by one person. then says in the next sentence they
You can honk the horn, you have to interact with the handle at the front.
I'm completely willing to overlook the animations and models simply over the fact that one person made this.
Games made by one person is a massive achievement regardless
Like when the ghost reaper clips through your submarine on Subnautica is scary as SHIIIIT!
There was a Charlie the Choo Choo in the Dark Tower series. Stephen King also wrote a "kids" book of the same name under a pseudonym. :D
it feels like this is the same endorphin loop as the early days of cod zombies; the sense of progression and the overall lack of need of immersion that don’t need to be explained
i’ll have to give this a try to have a good time beyond a story single player
a demonic toilet is actually really scary. that's a place where you are the most vulnerable. plus they would want revenge for literally taking shit for their entire existence
From the looks of the track, I'm surprised the vast amounts of dirt and rubble covering it all along the route don't derail your engine.
Wow. How have I never found this channel before. Subbed. Excellent video and breakdown. Very informative, without revealing so much that I feel I can skip the title entirely. Thank you!
Oddly enough, as a child I loved the LightSpeed Resuce Power Rangers because one of the megazord sets was literally train themed. I reflect upon those days fondly when playing this game.
Choo Choo Charles Whistle DLC is an absolute must. This man puts it up for a buck, guarantee he would see $100 before a week is out.
God indie games have so much more personality then aaa games
Any game that gets the Gman seal of approval usually turns out to be something worth playing
Two Star guy is legend....game made by him-self RESPECT....im on my own game and i know how much work he put into this game :)
I'm surprised there's no pistol or even a knife for those cultist guys
Charles clipping through buildings could also be seen as him poking holes into the wood of the place, so it makes sense why that makes it scarier.
With how popular this game is this could be the Start of the indie devs taking over the gaming industry and going back to what made gaming. Gaming.
You're the grandson of Crocodil Dundee?
Btw good review!
yo gman, you need to review the metal slug games now, since you love the bgm and sound effects lol
By the recognition it currently receives im exacting that to happen. In the end i think it will just come down to the devs motivation.
those dolls hanging from trees are probably a reference to Xochimilco island near Mexico City.
You know what's really cool about the setting, imo, it seems to parody some of the more creepy Thomas the tank engine episodes, with the rusted trains, ruined buildings and thick fog. It kinda made me feel a bit nostalgic but also freaked out.
I can say this, I’m only 3 and a half minutes into their video and I’m already laughing my ass off.
Can definitely say by the time I’m done watching this review I’m gonna be even more excited to play the game then I already am.
Can you handle it though?
9:23 u can see the handle to the very whistle you're saying we cant use, fun tip, its usable.
3:05 Kimberley from Power Rangers? Damn! You caught me! I loved her too.
So basically, this could be slightly modified to be an arcade game right next to Rail Chase 2 and Let's Go Jungle
