I'm really late, but eh. I think this is called 'polyphony'. Try, Jesu Dulcis Memoria and most of Palestrina if you haven't already that is. If your into just chants, then you could go for 'plainchant' or 'gregorian chant'. Mmm, try Gloria Laus et Honor, and Salve Regina, two of my all time favs hehe.
'Sacred Renaissance music' would cover it. Whilst 'vocal polyphony' is an accurate description of the texture, it could describe much other music. This is a motet. On that point, I wouldn't call it a 'song', which has more specific features than simply 'bit of music'. I suspect this over-arching use of the word has come about via recordings and track listings, particularly in the download era, as it suits many genres whose records do comprise a sequence of songs in the traditional sense; but it falls short with other styles, particularly traditional art music. It's probably come about as it's the best word available in someone's vocabulary to describe anything musical. Other blanket terms might be 'piece of music' or 'musical composition'. And yet, these terms have connotations too - they're not as neutral as the new one-size-fits-all use of 'song' - there's a gap in the market that 'song' is filling. It's as if there's no word for 'alcoholic beverage' so all alcoholic drinks are being called beer. Which baffles the wine-drinkers. Of course, language changes, and terms such as 'classical' can have multiple layers of interpretation: general (art music of the past), to specific (the style of European music around the time of Haydn and Mozart - late 18th century-ish). And maybe 'song' is going the same way. An analogy with the word 'animal' would describe the modern use of 'song' more kindly than my beer analogy - it's a word that features at two levels of classification. So it's a question of nuance - but I can bet that none of the personnel in the video would call it a 'song'.

Aún así, he de reconocer que afinar el renacimiento no es nada fácil y ellos lo hacen muy bien, pero el estilo hispano no es solo afinación, y lo de a capella es algo vago por su parte ya que existen fuentes suficientes para demostrar que en la epoca pasada se usaban ministriles, Tengo mil razones para debatir este asunto. He tenido el privilegio (según como se mire) de hacer cursos de canto histórico con los Tallis como alumno evidentemente y he podido comprobar en esa ocasión y en muchas otras anteriormente que la interpretación anglosajona es normalmente ñoña, carente de brillo, fría, un sonido muy comercial, y Victoria nació en una transición entre el renacimiento y barroco, donde hace falta algo más que la afinación. Poner a un grupo de profesionales vestidos de "gala" para deleite de unos sentados en frente, no es motivo de orgullo. Existen grupos infinitamente mejores que los Sixteen. Le contesto a lo de que no hay grupos españoles de la calidad "Tallis": Si los hay, y mejores solo que usted los desconoce. Jordi Savall, Capella de Ministrers, etc. y no solo por la afinación que se igualan en competencia, sino por su interpretación historicista y realista a la época. NO engañan. Además Los ingleses no tienen un repertorio vocal polifónico del renacimiento de la calidad nuestra, lo cual es evidente que canten polifonia mediterránea, se han adueñado un poco de ella. Buenos polifonistas ingleses que se pueden contar con los dedos de las manos: Byrd (extraordinariamente católico y partidario de Roma) Tallis, Gibbons, Taverner, y poco más. Totalmente de acuerdo con usted Oscar Grau. Jordi Savall es más realista, más acorde y sin duda más cercano al espíritu de Victoria (no se olvide también de grupos como Musica Ficta). Lo de comparar la polifonia católica con polifonia de otras latitudes suena a chiste malo. No creo que exista un sólo compositor protestante que se acerque lo más mínimo a la sublimidad de la polifonía de la escuela de Roma. Sin duda el más brillante de los compositores polifónicos del Norte de Europa con notable diferencia es Byrd, curiosamente un recalcitrante "papista" (católico) en una Inglaterra mayoritariamente protestante. Muchas de sus composiciones están impregnadas por el espíritu de persecución religiosa que sufrió en sus propias carnes y en las de sus amigos católicos. Personalmente considero la musica polifónica el culmen de la música (Victoria y Palestrina los más grandes).
eleutealado, lo del chiste malo va con segundas intenciones... la música le debe mucho a la iglesia. La escuela de Roma para mi tiene un pequeño defecto: incide bastante en ornamentos, aunque es mi tercera escuela favorita. La franco flamenca es extraordinaria para mi gusto es la primera, y la segunda la escuela andaluza sumando a Victoria, Anchieta en el norte, Robledo, etc
