Not having any unnecessary tech is exactly what I like about my XSR 700. I just wanted a bike that has most of the simplicity of an old bike except having ABS and that looks the part. It's kind of funny the XSR does a better job at that than the Triumph T100 isn't it? A XSR 700GP with better suspension would be perfect.
Love my XTribute, my go anywhere bike and take it back lanes, green lanes, added some crash bars, soft bags, noticed your seat lower Rob, I’ve got the XTribute which has a taller 840mm seat and def makes a bit more plush than MT07, and covers up a bit that budget suspension The motor is prefect for on and off-road, bounce it off 10k redline or just low revs on loose stuff. Super fun motor, Brakes are great and think the Brembo MC makes the difference over MT07 Would love to see a new one with more like the Tenere ability but staying well below 200kgs, a XSR Desert Sled 😎 Looked at the Fantic Cabarello but sadly fell short on off-road ability
LOL, you guys in England have roads from when 1 horse was going one way, and another horse was going another way. West Virginia has some roads like that. Dangerous bit. A lot of the roads in New York are designed for Model A Fords and haven't been upgraded. When you go to Arizona, all the roads are so new they are super wide.
Bike is a tank ! Lovely format and engine! I would change the springs front and rear. Had some hyperpro springs on a tenere 700 and completely changed the whole feeling
I have a 2022 model (as my first bike). it is nice and fun. very confidence inspiring, while being a bit naughty.... It clicked with me immediately at test riding it..
The cheap Indian/Chinese machines have created a new genre which the big boys must dilute quickly! Trouble is, they have never produced 'crap' bikes before so these XSR types are win-win, cheaper excellence!!!
Tbh Chinese bikes and Indian bikes are pretty good. Take CFMoto and New Triumph Speed 400 for example. Both these brands have shown quality and excellence in the market and that's why people are buying them. Not taking away anything from Japanese market but yeah maybe Chinese bikes aren't what they used to be.
Motomorini RE Triumph KTMs are certainly not crap bikes. Also 70-80% of the parts on an Aprilla/Ducati/Suzuki/BMW are produced in China or India. 300-900cc Japanese bikes or the bigger Triumphs are mostly made in Malaysia and not actually in Japan or the UK.
My use of English is poor, apologies! I actually meant the Japanese bikes of the 60's onwards were perfect which is the reason the UK industry folded so now the Japs have to hit back at much cheaper stuff but the buyer gets perfection plus amazing residuals! I know, the pain of selling/losing masses on the Benelli TRK 502 will not be forgotten! Then sold an old Honda scooter with 35k on the clock and made £500 profit!
I've got an XSR125 and wanted to graduate up the XSR range to a 700 or 900, but in the last few iterations I think they've ruined the looks. The headlamp is too small, the seat has gone all stubby. The engine looks like it dominates the entire visual. I think it is ugly. It looks like a seat popped on top of some HR Giger-esque monstrosity. I think my XSR125 will be my first and last XSR.
@@giosundance5643 basically bullet proof. Reliable, 60mpg, has all the power you'd want. And all the things that Aiden doesn't like about the bike are interchangeable

Yes an XSR SP model would be fantastic

Arizona isn't real, it's just a Scorpions song .
Love my xsr700 reliable and wild. I also love my svartpilen both torque masters
I think the display on the xsr is terrible, too small and out of place on a retro bike. An old style tacho and speedo would suit the bike better, imo.
It's cheaper to make a digital display
That or TFT.
Better than that ugly box on the mt7
Your opinion. I have it on my XSR and like it
@@jimzenglish1 yeah I like the display on the xsr way more than the mt07. Though I wish it was more centered and closer to the bars.
I like it! Could use a 7” headlamp though. And lower the gages a bit.
yeah you like 7" , huh ?
MOTOBOB Vlogs Rock!!! Keep them up… 👍🏼
These and the ones like it need some kind of windscreen like what you would put on a cafe racer.
Can't wait for the review on that GP.
How does it compare to the sv650?
I heard Xsr 700 is discountinued. I got standard model and like it but would want more "adventure" bike but they cost too much
Some day a T7 will be able to be bought used lol .

How much?
This could have been such a better bike with this engine. It looks like a bitsa bike, and why didn't they use a 19" front wheel on the legend?
So it's just the Xtribute with a different paintjob

Reminds me of the Kawasaki Z RS models…
Husqvarna Svarpilen 801 all day long for me
Closer comparison is XSR900
its EMP proof :D
fuel injected

Bro what? The CP2 engine is godly
you can get an MT09
@@shadow_realm47 also ugly

801 all day 😊
801 is another $3k.
Closer comparison is the XSR900
Still hate that tank area its so ugly with that mesh panel.
The small headlamp makes it ugly
Euro yamaha always has great taste compared to yamaha japan.
It might be great and fun, but i think its ugly. Sorry.
One of the most terrible displays in the past 10 years? :D
This bike is really uninspiring for me. Its just a XSR 700.
It looks hideous, ot looks like someone made it up from 5 or 6 different bikes in their shed .
Get your eyes checked
That is the appeal of it :D
I like ok. The tail light looks like its from a parts bin tho.
Sorry, Bob, but that's one ugly bike 😢
Get your eyes checked fella
What bike is your idea of beautiful at same price point?
@jimzenglish1 - A bike doesn't have to be costly to look good.

Dang that thing is ugly!
Dang you don’t have style!
