listened to both, I think Pete Nice's account of what happened makes much more sense.
It does! Pete doesn’t seem like a liar, if you heard that phone argument? Serch got off the phone first 😂💯
@@91DefiniteI know people like Serch and people like Pete. Pete is definitely not lying and has not motive to do so and his personality doesn’t require that kind of ego boost. Serch on the other hand has internal, external/social, business/political reasons to lie about a lot of stuff. And to frame himself in a certain way to a lot of people. It’s like the whole thing with him and Doom, he knew him as a kid but then just disregarded him for bigger and better things. Now he wants to make amends. Which is cool, but it speaks volumes about character. Shoulda been helping his mans every step of the way.
Math is creating a library that future generations will be able to immerse themselves in. More content like this
It’s not that deep Confucius
I would buy a DVD box set if he ever put it out...yeah I know DVD's are out of date but I still appreciate hardcopies of all Great works.
@@b4viral_tv693 Then why respond to their comment?
@@b4viral_tv693 LoL
This generation don’t even follow the documentaries that the generations before left for them to study I doubt future generations would care about any podcast or interviews that come out these days
I'd have to say that information wise, by far this is shaping up to be one of the best interviews I've seen on this show. Can't wait for the rest of the episode.
We need the whole episode. PLEASE! Big Hip Hop legend no matter what anyone says. I'm glad he's part of the culture. I would love to see a Chubb Rock interview
Kanye was right.
I was driving down south to Charleston, SC. I heard Chubb Rock on the radio in the later hours, I had no idea he was a radio DJ at one of the stations down there somewhere, I wonder if he still has that gig?
Word.
@@KryMoore wha???
Absolutely, Chubb rock and special ed
I like it but there’s a slight detail that stands out. If Serch brings other MC’s to the Disney event, then Serch isn’t the only MC to perform for Disney.
Growing up 3rd bass is one of the first groups I ever saw . Seeing serch here takes me back 🙏🏾
Facts
Math, you should get Pete Nice in that chair for his side of the 3rd Bass story. Pete’s history in the game also runs deep and would make for great conversation.
he will get them like he did with the slaughter house members
@@crazykenbei wait, what happened between Pete nice and slaughterhouse?
@@TheHiphopgems I'm saying Matt always gets the whole story. Especially in groups he usually gets all the members to come in
@@TheHiphopgems 🤣
TRUTH SPOKEN!!!!!
My first concert was the PE and 3rd Bass supporting which Search was referring to. Still the best concert I've ever been to.
I was there too! I don’t actually remember 3rd bass closing the set ! Not calling him a liar but I remember PE and 3rd bass out first …..
@@eastendwideboy yep,me too
Every time I see a Serch interview I’m watchin, I could listen to Serch talk all day
Man, this channel & series is fire! Can't wait to hear Chub Rock & Special Ed on here, this channel is on the next level! Professional, informative, and educational. Get the gas face! That was my jam back n da day. 👏💯🎙
Math's Serch interview is one of his top 3 greatest interviews all time .... The " Math shop" should be a manditory visit by all the legends. ❤️❤️❤️
Respect to Math this podcast is really growing. As a fan I find it less entertaining without video, and almost impossible to just slide into (pause) if you ain't catch it from the start. Your the only, only, podcast host that don't let people weasle out of the uncomfortable or unpopular topic.
Man the first 40 seconds is me to a tee, I can't be around toxic situations or people, it denies me of my personal well being and peace. Love this interview.
This is 95% of us
^^^ pretty much
@R.T. McFly right? Lol my thought exactly. Does _anyone_ thrive around toxic people?
🐈
who doesnt? 🙄🙄🙄🙄
I didn’t even know what to expect with this interview but damn. I’m hoping this is 2 hours plus. I didn’t know I needed thisb
this aged appropriately
I got new respect for Search and his place in Hip Hop history. Crazy intelligent dude and I would have never known how profound he is if I didn't watch this. No way I would've been checking for Search in 2022 if not for this platform. Also, I'm starting to have a better appreciation and understanding of/for Math and what he's accomplishing. Respect all around
It's MC Serch. Not Search.
@@gaylordfocker7990 Not only did you correct the spelling, but had to put the MC on it too, huh? 🤣🤣
@BOBBY ILLMATIK I was waiting for this comment lol
and this is the reason why you tube and these old legends are great this is what its all about thank you math
You got fool by a compulsive liar, Search is mentally ill.
I'm loving these search episodes.
He's a legend with a real wealth of hiphop knowledge.
I love that Serch said the 12th tradition. I'm in recovery too. Good shit Serch
Respect to the legendary Serch... good dude too. Well done fellas. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yo just found Math on here and been binge watching the shit out his interviews, his style of interview is so dope and its awesome to see an interviewer ask a question and actually listen and let the person answer. Serch is a fun person to watch get interviewed and he has hella stories. Dude is a for real OG in HipHop and gets mad respect! That 2nd 3rd Bass album Derelict of Dialect was one of my favs as a teen. I was 14 but that shit had 24 tracks and a lot of them were just funny ass skits...... yo I still laugh at it!! "OOOOOh my Eye OOOOh my Eye I can feel the blood rushing down my eye!! Mr. Russell" Microphone Techniques....with the Darth Vader type breathing!! So funny but the lyrics was off the charts on the songs too!! Just feel like they dont get enough credit for what they brought to hip hop especially as 2 white boys from Queens!! The birth place of Hip Hip (in many folks opinion) Anyway real quick to here Pete Nice the Prime Minister talk shit about Serch just makes his self look bad. Serch is out here doing his thing why dude plays with his baseball cards!! Its dumb how he acts like he is jealous or something. I just wish he wouldnt act like a damn diva get off his high fucken horse and apologize so they can make music again. But before I over stay my welcome.... I do appreciate Math for bringing these legends on and just letting them talk, cause I love Nore and EFN on Drink Champs but Nore likes to but/chime in WAY to much and change the subject so you cant get the entire story sometimes. His interview with Serch wasnt to too bad but he did try and change the subject a few times. Thats why I like Math... dope MC and a dope ass host!! Ok thanks for reading to now without falling asleep ..deuces and God Bless each and every one of ya!!
MC Serch you absolute fucking legend!!!!! I was born 84 and I knew about that brixton show, I was told as a child your tore it down... Coming from the UK and having legends like yourself there is a blessing 🔥🔥✌✌
Hes a culture vulture and sucks
He said he played to a 140,000 crowd and Brixton academic is only 90,000 capacity for a start! And that Shakespeare debuted plays at Brixton academy and that it’s the oldest venues in the UK lol Brixton academy was built in the 1920s and became a performance venue in the 1980s. Shakespeare died in the 1600s! If he’s going to invent a load of random back story about a venue think how much he lies about his own accomplishments. Ghost-wrote for Rakim ring any bells?
@@keithjackson1359You know what very true! Ddin't really dig into much, it does bring everything he said into a whole other light.
@@keithjackson1359he said 140,000 was Wembley Arena which they played a few months later, not Brixton Academy
@@rorz999 even still he was way off on his facts about the Brixton academy. Plus, there’s also that video of Pete calling in while Serch was on the radio, and he said that the MC Hammer and Rakim stories were bullshit.
I mean, obviously, I don’t know. He just comes across as really sketchy to me.
In this video, he’s talking about how he had the number one song, the number one album, the number one clothing line, “which, by the way what the fuck was that?” The number one meatball recipe, the number one way to make a fucking sandwich, I mean hell…. You would think he was God, by the way, he’s trying to make himself look in this interview in my opinion.
And I like the dudes music, and I want to like him. I just think he comes across as really sketchy.
There’s also that time he was bitching about losing his TV show because of Lil Dicky. That’s just insane. 😂 He said the show was originally meant for him, and that they replaced him because “he’s not as big of an artist.”
There’s interviews on UA-cam about it if you want to get a cheap laugh 😂
This is the best. PERIOD! This MC Serch series is fire, Crack, poppin', what ever superlative you want to use... This one is amazing! And all done without your former homeboy from queens! (He who shall not be named🤫. Rhymes with expresso😏) Keep it up!!
Myrtle beach, South Carolina fam!
I was rapping along to Pop Goes The Weasel back when it came out, I was like 8 years old. 3rd Bass were LIT AF.
That beat was 🔥
Think we need to hear Pete Nice’s side of the story. Serch and his massive ego seems like something some people would get annoyed with. He talks a lot. It’s not always facts.
Hes a liar. I can tell by the way he acts he embellishes everything. I believe pete.
@@jimmyjump8335 Yeah and add Daddy Rich’s side as well.
@@jeremyr529 exactly! He told at least 4 lies in a 4 minute span during this interview. Brixton Academy opened in 1929 so Shakespeare couldn’t have played there. It don’t even think it’s the oldest venue in London. He said 140K people went to the show at Wembley. No chance and I don’t even believe Wembley holds 140K people. He said he had the hottest record at the time and yet Gas Face peaked at 71. He also said he had the #1 liquor & clothing brands as well as the #1 radio & TV shows. None of that is true. It was just one lie after another. Get Pete on here to tell the truth. Because Serch told so many obvious lies here it’s sad.
@@kevinmoore9547 Yeah he lies and embellishes a lot. I still find it hard to believe his story about possibly ghostwriting for Rakim to be totally wrong and even Rakim and Pete talking about it being a lie as well.
Agreed, have heard quite a few interviews with this dude over the years and I love 3rd Bass, but it’s always twisted.
Math dropping all these clips he might as well drop the full interview ASAP.
MC needs to Serch for the truth every now and then.
Yeah but the truth ain’t always in “Serch” 😂
Look, this is by far the realist interview with the most takeaways on this channel thus far. Word.
3rd Bass had the momentum. This one of best interviews because so much was taught.
I perform at Epcot and I tear it down 🤨
I cannot listen to Derelicts of Dialect enough. I listened to it SO many times the year it came out. At least once a year, I revisit it and listen nonstop for about 2 weeks.
Serch’s wife is the reason the group broke up, DJ Daddy Rich does an interview on another channel where he breaks it all down, She thinks she’s in the group, basically.
Yo math you came a long way my brother. Much respect. Much respect 3rd bass.
I believe he means Myrtle Beach, SC. Columbia, SC is where Darius Rutcker is from.
He definitely means SC. I’m from Florence, SC. That’s half way between Columbia and Myrtle Beach.
I always enjoy interviews with Serch. Homeboy is very knowledgable
I appreciate u interviewing Mc Serch it reminds me of back in the days in school when we use to play 3rd bass after school
Love McSearch’s story telling skills
Most rappers go bankrupt and had multiple failed marriages. MC Serch beat the odds. Much respect.
Man I ALWAYS love hearing Serch stories
I'm BUZZING and HYPE off this Public Enemy story!
it good to hear his wife is playing a role in his life, she that one on the side line watching what's going on, the one that pulls him back when he's out there to long spinning his wheels
Yea but at the same time she knows he can be too much of a cheeseball
MC Search's math is mathin'!!!!!
IT'S HOFFA!!!!!!
Serch always been a great storyteller but it's only right to get Pete Nice's side to this
Talking about the 12th tradition. Awesome, so awesome to see this.
Nah, I seen MC Lyte at Disneyland (Grad Night '92). Pretty sure that counts as an emcee performing at Disney.
I am just gripped by these episodes ❤️
Myrtle Beach is in South Carolina but thanks for even the shout out Serch!!
Pete Nice was too dope with his swag damn!!! The Cane he walked with his facial expressions and his suits and steppings as we call it in Nigeria lol. Pete Nice a real Aquarius and Search a real Taurus a performer an emcee, a dancer and a poet
Always liked Serch. Never tried to be what he wasn't. Respect
wot, he spent his entire carrier trying to be some one he wasn't.
Myrtle Beach is in South Carolina Serch...😕
Myrtle Beach is in South Carolina, sir!
Get legendary Brooklyn DJs on the show like Professor Paul, Hitman Howie Tee, AD, and DJ Scratch.
Rest In Peace and Love to Don Newkirk.
Need Pete Nice on the show, get his version
100% agree
Brixton Academy opened in the 1920s
May 16th!!!! Special!!!!Peace Math
I can see him doing them corny ass 2 steppin' dance moves at Epcot. The children must've been like "Mommy, what's wrong with that old guy?"
Imagine Pete Nice with his throne and "old man cane" at his side to boot.
HOLD UP: I'm from the UK
- Brixton Academy was built in 1929. Shakespeare died in 1616.
- Poll Tax riots comparison to LA riots is false.
- Gas Face didn't even chart in UK
- There is no London Times
- Wembley Stadium did not hold 100,000 nevermind 140,000. I would go one further and say there is NO CHANCE 3rd Bass played Wembley Stadium BUT played Wembley Arena which is 12,000 capacity.
Serch is a great storyteller but we all can be if we lie constantly.
Gas Face did Chart in the UK at 71...And Poll Tax Riots where Real bad..How long you been in the states bruh??🤣🤣😂😂 ua-cam.com/video/I4QQN2aqeKA/v-deo.html
@@TheEmpireStrikes74 I've always lived in UK. I'm not saying they weren't bad. My point is 63 people died in LA riots. No one died in Poll Tax riots. Its a bad comparison for Serch to give. FYI you got to get in the Top 40 to "chart" in UK. You think someone that's getting to number 71 is selling out Wembley Stadium 😂?
LOL. He's got that Hulk Hogan thing going on, saying shit and does not expect people to fact check. Pre internet mentality still doing its thing.
Wow!! OG MY Serch brings them gems, a must listen!!
You keep hitting us with knockout blows.
On some real shit: who out there other than LL with Rock the Bells is looking out for that era of hip hop
Serch is on his Fat Joe storytelling vibe I see
Myrtle Beach is in South Carolina.. Thanks
Idk bruh...The Prime Minister says this cat is a straight fabricator
Yeah, and the stories tend to change (interviews) just a little every time he speaks too, no matter the subject.
👑Prime Minister Pete Nice says Search is a str8 up Pinocchio 🤣
Mane look!!
These Serch interview clips is probably the best of them all.(My Expert Opinion)
I'm starting to pick up these "pathological" vibes. lol
Especially in front of a camera
exactly! He told at least 4 lies in a 4 minute span during this interview. Brixton Academy opened in 1929 so Shakespeare couldn’t have played there. @@kevinmoore9547 ik for a fact the Wembley only hold 90,000 I Google it almost every day just see the capacity one of my dreams is to headline the Wembley
@@kevinmoore9547 Yeah, that was quite a run lol
@@kevinmoore9547 The MC Hammer story that he's been telling for years is an easy indication of his dishonesty. Most people in the comments will believe everything that comes out of his f^%% mouth. So I guess he succeeded in that regard.
awesome interview and that outro track is FIRE
I need to sit and watch the whole interview
3rd base was a beast 🔥...nice interview with search ...math Hoffa you are the man...
It's amazing how the ego can distort reality. MC Serch was a cool act. 3rd Bass was never hotter than Public Enemy. If you lived during that time, you know the truth. His wife knew he was mediocre. That's why she said I'd rather be married to Michael, MC Serch was JV league compared to Chuck D, Ice Cube, Nas, Rakim, Eminem, BIG or Kane. Great interview Math. Appreciate the platform you provide to tell these stories.
Haiti StiLL Here.... Amazing Factz, Jewels,, only tha older generation will understand...Salute MathHoff
Sad how the 3rd Bass breakup happened. You definitely have to respect the family of another person. Positive vibes only. Obviously there's two sides to every story, but it is what it is.
Excellent podcast!!!! More please
Google can't find this Wembley concert anywhere, Nothing🤔
I was at that concert, at Brixton academy, I remember it well. Great fucking night.👊🏿
