Lahaina Maui Hawaii before the Fires : Walking and Talking Tour in 4K
We are devastated by the Fires in Lahaina Maui Hawaii. We wanted to keep the memory of this old town Lahaina by uploading our Driving Front Street during Sunset that we did last month. We visited this small town Early July and walked up and down Front Street and enjoyed the sunset.

It's like the 9/11 of Maui. I've been visiting Maui for 20+ years. I was walking Front St. in May, just a few months ago. I will miss this place. So heartbreaking 💔😫😔

Yeah man I’m there same as you.
I can’t believe this. I’m coming back in about 9 months and I’m bringing cash and my helping hands with me and I’m not relaxing there until they can too.
My next trip is about getting some work done along side my Maui Ohana

9/11 of Maui is exactly correct!!!!! And same evil people intentionally did this too!!! 9/11 wasn’t an accident. Nor was Paradise City CA fires. This was an act of terrorism to our land and our people. Nothing about this fire was natural 😢

Had only been through there and stayed at a Kaanapoli Coast hotel some 30 years ago. It looks like there was a lot of growth since then. I remember that area near and around the Old Banyan Tree, the boat docks and all the activity on Front St. Am just in shock at the horrific devastation and loss of life. My condolences and prayers to all who were affected by this terrible fire.

I would hope that nothing is allowed to be built/rebuilt within 300 yards of distance from the beach. To allow for a park area in between the beach & city. Any structure needed within the 300 yards, should only be built below the terrain surface. The marina should be placed Inland like the Marassi Marina Infrastructure networks in North Coast, Egypt. The old buildings are gone, now there's an opportunity to recreate the coastline of the city back into the Hawaii paradise it was before humans covered the beach in concrete & asphalt.

1:32 - To my surprise, the Lahaina Cannery Center (on the left) is still standing, even though things on either side of it were burned down to the shoreline. 3:21 - I saw a photo of the Methodist Church on the left. The only things remaining are the stone foundation pillars and the cement steps in front. Everything else was reduced to ashes. 5:49 - The Lahaina Store building on the left, built in 1916, is one of the few things still standing here. Since it's concrete it survived, although the interior was destroyed. It's one of the few structures that might be possible to save and revive.

They feel they are being forced out. They have a big community in Las Vegas. Hawaii will become the place for only rich white folk from mostly California. They received fantastic pensions. 30. But the day of the Lord will come LIKE A THIEF IN THE NIGHT, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. 1 Peter 3.10 - 12

As a warning to humanity: Lahaina is how cities around the world would end up looking like following a nuclear war. Governments are incompetent and do not protect any of us. The shear negligence that allowed this fire to happen and spread out of control to destroy the entire town is sickening.

    I am beyond devastated.
I’m sorry this planet is cruel. To the people of Maui, and Lahaina and all of Hawaii. Nobodies culture is as interesting and cool as yours.
Maui has been a part of my life for over two decades. Not my home. But a second one.
I’m worried about a friend of mine who lived there, grew up there. His whole family was generations deep in Lahaina.
I’m thinking about you, people of Maui. Especially the natives that lost things that have been in their families for GENERATIONS. I’m coming back in 9 months, and I’m bringing donations and I’m going to get my hands dirty with all of you. I’ll be there, and I’ll see you all soon.

I went over there and taught a bunch of “Pineapples” how to build houses, years ago, for my friend “Butch Holt”. They will recover from this, I hope they “keep it small”. DKS! (And deport the ones who will choose to build sky scrapers, and destroy “a way of life that still exists there”.) “Good luck to all of you survivors”, if you need help, “we will be there, “again”!
