at 1.6m we deserve higher quality cameras, infotainment unit, 360cam, more premium looking interior (compared to competitors this looks 5 years behind), and much better noise insulation. :(
Yes, those are where the HR-V lags behind in. Makes up for it with the driving dynamics though.
Thanks to Chinese cars people are realizing how outdated other brands are in terms of specs

@@cakeisalie big deal sa iba yung specs eh esp ADAS. As to driving dynamics can't comment on that one as less than 10 different of cars pa lang na drive ko 😅 spare parts naman you can't really tell. It depends talaga. I've driven a Ford and sobrang tagal ng parts. Currently have a Chinese car and i have no problem pa naman nung may pinalitan silang part ng kotse. 2 weeks dumating na yung replacement. Limited ka nga lang talaga sa casa and alibaba. 😅
Actually it’s the reverse. Some Japanese cars look nice on spec sheets, but their American/Chinese counterparts feel much better
I test drove these during the 2022 PIMS. The drive is responsive and smooth, it's very easy to handle. Though the tire noise is noticeable even in low speeds.

The TRAIN law implemented in 2018 hit the HR-V hard, putting it in no man's land between the City and CR-V. Honda had to make a lot of compromises to keep this model going.
The top-of-the-line HR-V from 2017 was priced at 1.370M, and it was shocking how much more expensive it became in 2018 (+100k) despite having fewer features. No more curtain airbags, third-party head unit and even the hazard light switch were changed from translucent red to an opaque black.

Was about to get the HRV V, but then I saw this review. I verified if location of fuel tank indeed impedes the positioning of feet at 90 degrees. Sadly it does, and it is more apparent in the front passenger seat. Annoying and will make you uncomfortable. Deal breaker for me. Thanks for disclosing this Kyle.

Nice review! Hoepfully you can also do a review of the 2023 Corolla Altis 1.6 GRS. Wordering what's betyer between the HRV S and the Corolla Altis 1.6 GRS.
Both gets the safety fearures (honda sensing and toyota safety sense), but what would you prefer between the two?

Is it just the angle or you're really much taller than this HRV ? I had this impression that it's a big Subcompact SUV , bigger than corolla cross.
It is a not so tall car in general haha
How does the driving dynamics of HRV compare against the Mazda CX 30 base model at 1.79m?

The ask is a bit much, I agree. I have a feeling Honda put it there just so it has something in that price range.

@@KyleLiongCars It is odd to ask so much for what is basically a lifted Honda City, especially when you can get the City cheaper. But hey, maybe they know something we don't.
@@thetrustysidekick3013 This has a Turbo, Honda Sensing, Hill Descent Control, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold and full leather trims. This is not just a lifted Honda City.

Asking price for this one is too steep vs what you can get from other manufacturers. Dunno why honda priced this HRV 1.6M and not being a hybrid lol

Idk about you, but I'm really not a fan of the CVT. At 1.6 million they really should put a 9 speed automatic or something.
Have you test driven the HR-V? The CVT on this is pretty good
Honda's been stretching their prices a bit much. A Ford Territory does better at a cheaper price, and a much better interior. Add a bit more and you'll get a top of the line Geely Okavango.

Much more direct and involving compared to the Territory. Slightly better compared to the Coolray

Can’t say vs the new Territory that will be launched next week. For me though, Coolray pa rin as an overall package.
