which acc to you is better scram or himalayan ? I wanna buy a bike for 70% city ride and 30% touring oustation. Is it good to pay few extra bucks for himalayan rather buying scram ?
Its basically a Himalayan with 19" front wheel. But i am wondering can i buy the new speedometer cluster and put it on my Himalayan??? I have already done a few modifications on my Himalayan that make it look more like the scrambler. Love the direction they have taken the bike
RE is slick and very naughty in correcting there 2 mistakes while nobody is noticing....they changed himalyan n this flop scram into new himalayan with better sherpa engine in it and same in guerrilla launching soon.........what a scheming by RE......hype can kill confusions.....changed 2 flop bikes into new bikes plus name..
People should know the Himalayan and Himalayan are two different bikes..one is for off-road touring ,with high ground clearance,targets matured rider,but scram 411 here is for younger audience,and be be used for everyday use,that is why it is more sift,the shell base is low
I have seen at least 10 videos of scram 411 ... I always see a white scratch on the black steering plate, close to the nut ... but what the hell is that ?? Another scratch I see is on the right electric sleeve, the one with the starter ... help me understand !!
You're definitely not 5'11. I test drove this bike, Im 5'9 I was able to nearly flat foot.

I'm not sure why air cooled bikes are even sold. I bought a 4 stroke air cooled suzuki gn400 in 1980. By 15000 miles it vibrated so bad I couldn't ride it anymore. Same bike water cooled- I'd probably still have it!

I have Himalayan BS6. In the span of Two years I had to change 1) speedometer 2) Chain 3) Front Shocker oilseal 4) Handle bar Cone set and Now my bike is Down With 5) Engine HEAD AND VALVE PROBLEM!
Can you imagine two years old bike with not more than 15000km Run worth 2.5 lac developed serious engine problem! I'd recommend not to waste 2.5/7 lac on buying garbage.
Soon I'll shoot video in service centre about this problem and upload on different sites.
Seriously regretting my decision to buy Himalayan. Will make others aware about the poor built quality of bike.

I recently did a 900km ride on Interceptor 650. The 1st 600km I was riding at about 120kmph and ended up getting about 26km pl ut last 300kms of my riding I was crusing at 90kmph and got a mileage of 33km pl. Which was fantastic. Now, in a similar run, what is the kind of fuel efficiency i can expect from SCRAM 411?
