I am also considering Scram after 11 years of touring on Classic 500. I rode an old Himalayan in Sikkim for 14 days. For us after Classic/Intercepter, Scram seems a more acceptable switch.
I think himalayan is better than scram it looks better and wind shield also serve its purpose some times

I run standard 350 for 9 years nd now I upgrade to scram411..nd this is next level bullet....
Nd also thinking about to buy new Scram 411.and also big salute to the Indian Army who guard us with such a cold weather..

The lack of a center stand is a concern in case of a puncture, especially riding solo.
You can install center stand, I've heard its available already
Center stand can be installed, motojack is also an option or Paddock stand too. I have Motojack.
That's a major drawback. Considering the ground clearance they might have not included it unlike Himalayan. You can install the center stand from RE store and it will cost you INR 1600-1800
Centre stand is available as an accessory you can install it mostly ADV bikes don't come with center stand as there main focus is off-roading and also after installing center stand bikes weight will increase by 1.6kg so I think companies intentionally don't include it to keep bikes weight as less as possible

Either will learn how to fix the puncture like itchy boots or I will go for a bike with tubeless tire. I can't ride with a fear of puncture. The tire of the Himalayan I was riding got punctured in the middle of a tiger reserve in 2018 and it was getting dark. That's a stressful day.
I know how to repair a puncture however I was not carrying the tools that day.😔😔

I use a tether cord if putting an action cam on the bike frame.
I use strong mounts, used in past on spiti, leh rides, very sturdy..however when its not ur day then.............u can understand......😔😔😔

apne jo bar bar Xpalse ki bat kar rehe ho Xpalse Himalayan eya scram eya apki interceptor se power ki mukabila may bahat hi kam hai...Xpalse ek under power bike hai.....thora jada in climb may Xpalse kebal 1st gear may hi uthti hai....chal ne ka to koyee bhi bike chal jata hai leken jo banda jada "Powerful" bike chlane may use to hai bo kam power bale bike keise chalayega?
tyre tubeless hone ka eya hi to phida hai....tyre kholo, chain kholo, break kholo, RIM kholo eya sab tam jham nehi hota....aj kal 150 cc bike tubeless hota hai...leken adventure kisi bhi bike may tubeless nehi hota hai...
Isliye nahi hota, because off-road is better on spoke wheels.
Off roading your alloy can bend, but 1-2 spoke tut jayee toh easily replaceable.

Riding in Leh is seriously overrated..if you can ride a bike you can ride it in ladakh.. doesn't need any special skill or any special bike... I ve just come back from changla pass and khardungla pass..
