    To me, this guy is a hero - anyone who hasn't read about it - he got so depressed because of his dad's sexual abuse as a teen that he wanted to committ suicide, but what held him back is the thought "then he will take it out on my little brother so I won't do it". To me, that is a real hero.

    I really appreciate this brother ‘s honesty. His story is extremely important. This is more pervasive in our society than ppl want to face. I was in a similar family so I really get it. I have no relationship whatsoever with any member of my family because I told the truth and I exposed what my father did. No one wants anything to do with you when u tell the brutal truth.. I really appreciate and get this his man. He’s a hero.

      Telma Elma Thx for hopefully getting it. This so devastating when u tell the truth and get beaten down and ostracized for being truthful. My heart goes out to Randy. I totally empathize with him. This kind of rejection for telling a huge truth is demoralizing and so hurtful the rest of ur life. This man has such a beautiful forgiving attitude. I’ve forgiven but still in that process. He’s a better person than I am. I’m just not that kind with my attitude but I’m working on it. This Randy should have his own channel and be hammering this topic. He has a beautiful soul and spirit.

      Lara O'neal this is absolutely classic narcissist abuse where one brother is The Golden Child and the other is the scapegoat. Kevin Spacey was the delusional Golden Child and this brother was the scapegoat, who usually gets away because everything was dumped on them, but they get to be authentic and see the truth where The Golden Child lives their whole life in delusional lala land

      CobraDove So true. I was the scapegoat in my family and blamed for everything. I came out the strongest and only one who went into incest recovery. Painful stuff but I’m a better person for it. I can’t stand the denial idiots. Knowledge is power. I have so much in common with Randy. He should be so proud of himself. God bless him. These types of families are so common but ppl like us are the only brave ones who openly talk about it.

    • @CryptoProphet
      @CryptoProphet 7 років тому +8

      I get it Laura. My story is similar. I tried for years to get it told, and almost had a production company make it as a movie at one point. Mine is a little more a slice of history as well but the family pain is the same. You are correct that the ones who tell the truth are the most hated of all.
      Although, I read somewhere a quote from Kevin Spacey saying that his Dad had sexually abused him, dressed up in Nazi costumes and all sorts of crazy stuff. So, I think Kevin just went to the dark side and that his life was not protected the way that Randy seems to think it was. For a long time I thought I had protected my younger siblings as well, but I don't think so anymore. Sometimes there is a child who isn't abused. In my family that would have been my older half-sister. I think the three of us all got it. Regardless, it is a sick family dynamic and everyone in it is effected. BTW - When I first saw Kevin Spacey on screen I was totally taken by surprise because he reminded me so much of my abusive father. He also would have been my choice (back then) to play the character. So, there you go.

    I was Kevin's biggest fan until last year when I researched him and found out what kind of person he really was, this stuff was all over the web for years. Randy has been saying this for years, it's a shame people are only listening now cause a celebrity said it happened. All Randy ever wanted was to tell his story to help others. He's struggled so much and still has been involved in many charities. He's also been trying to publish his book but couldn't because Kevin and his lawyers wouldn't allow it. I love Randy cause he never used his brothers name to gain fame. And their father being a nazi loving child molester is old news. The fact that Kevin severed all ties with his family is very telling. Before this scandal came out, people assumed Kevin came out of this messed up situation as a successful love able guy and that's why he distanced himself. But obviously he didn't want his remaining family to discover who he really is. The fact that Randy still wants a relationship with Kevin just shows what an amazing guy Randy really is. How about Randy plays Francis underwood! Great interview Randy!

    For someone who went thru' so much hell, he is the sane one. Kevin is extremely damaged.
    I know first hand that the truth tellers in the sick families are the ones who are the most sane, the survivors. The ones who cannot bare to see the truth or hear the truth or confront the truth are the sickest. These are also the ones who break away from family to avoid the truth.

      audio books Thank you for appreciating my empathy for this special man. If u were never abused or scapegoated in your family how do u relate? So interesting that u should say that. I do have deep insights on these types of families for many reasons but I don’t understand why you would want to exchange our family experiences if u have not had any of these experiences. I’m a blogger on YT and have helped some ppl here if they asked me about their own abuse and what they should do. I have shared my abuse with many ppl mostly offline when i was in recovery meetings for my abuse for quite a number of years. Long story. However online I don’t go into specific details of my sexual abuse by my father because it is not necessary for them to get the point. Give me reasons for your interest in my family dynamic and i will get back to you. Best regards.

He is so honest and down to earth and is not trying to make a name for himself on his brothers coat tails. I will definitely by the book, even though I always found Kevin Spacey creepy.
