i'm really digging your vids. I had a DB/DA scrapper. The highest I got him was lvl 22. Big End hog. I should've stuck it out, shelved them for a while, but I didn't. I test a build out by taking them through all the story arcs in AP, The Hollows, and KR.

the validation has been nice, it gets the good brain chemicals flowing which i need. but the imposter syndrome is very real because CCs like youtube.com/@darkcurrent2083 do waaaay more informative and detailed videos, and are more knowledgeable

Here's her bio btw: Sasha Kapradina possesses a capability of creating and controlling fire, that is of unknown magical origin. Shortly after her powers relating to combustion manifested she developed an interest in chemistry in her mid teens. Later in her life she became a doctor. In a certain incident when her life was in danger her choices of self preservation led her to the Rogue Isles. Now she works under the alias "Naphthalene" as an independent mercenary, capitalizing on her abilities that she kept secret for far too long. Ironically enough this lifestyle seems to fit her much better.
Hi there. Even though you might feel that you didn't help me much with my question on Def with Emp for primary, you at least took the time to try to answer it. I appreciate that. Keep having fun in CoH, my new friend. :)
Follow up: my empathy friend says, "emp on HC is a very good set until 28 - 32, i forget when they unlock t9s now. but at that point everyone has all of their abilities to keep themselves alive so emp drops off into near uselessness for teams but if they have a good secondary like sonic then they can still contribute by doing some debuffs. BUT i did discovery an end game use for them - peopel always like to form up PI mission teams and you'll either get overgeared 50s or super squishy level 1 - 10s that want to join for XP. with how they have super buffed up the council and thorns and whatnot there's no 'easy' groups for you to try to carry a group of low levels....UNLESS you have an empathy. who as i said are REALLY good at filling the holes for low level characters put an empathy on the team and suddenly those lowbies are able to hit stuff and run their toggles and whatnot without running out of end and thats my only positive for long-term emp play, they can carry lowbies"

Just finished a mercenaries force field mastermind, it works so well because the mercenaries are ranged so they dont move much so they stay in my toggle bubble. It's one of the least busy masterminds to play imo, as all you gotta do is keep the cast bubbles active and they rarely die. I don't play mms much nowadays but i liked this one so much i got her all tier 4 incarnates.
I totally get your feelings on blasters, have you tried the Sentinel AT? also the Peacebringer is fun too when you play the squid form to blast and when it starts going pear shaped then you shapeshift to your tanky form and smash
You seem to have a solid grasp on IOs, so I'm just gonna put this out there: Have you considered the "Blapper" playstyle? Fast paced action; defences of a scrapper nearly, if your careful about power choice. It was much harder to do in the past but in the COH Renaissance era, things are a lot more accessible. I highly endorse a try for it.
yeah thats how i built an energy/martial blaster... all the energy stuff is slotted for KB>KD. and she IS fun to play but only at level 50 with full incarnate stuff.
@@wednesdaywoeplays you know, I felt the exact same way about the whole IO concept: great idea, but it really only seemingly gets started at the end of your career. That thought forced me to look at it from different angles, and I (very sloooowly) learned that you can reach certain percentages around lvl 35ish that are, if not game changing, then significant enough to transform the playstyle FAR earlier than 50.
It’s all midjourney. I just start every prompt with “comic book cover” and that usually gets good results. It also takes some effort to get results that don’t have enormous boobs but that’s another topic…
Thoughts on blasters: I'm currently loving playing an Electric/Electric Blaster. I'm at level 27 and he has one hold and 2 drain endurance powers. Plays a lot like a Dominator that does way more damage and doesn't always have to hit the Domination button.
@@wednesdaywoeplays yup! It takes 2 Short Circuit applications to 100% drain everyone. Or a short circuit plus another good end drain power. But, I haven’t slotted many IOs yet so my defence is still low and it works out. Bosses and AVs are easy between end drain and holds. So far I really like it! On Mids it should be 45% ranged defence when I have max level and IOs. But, it’s pretty fun at level 27 and earlier playing more like a controller/dominator.
Try a sonic martial arts blaster.. sonics nuke is quick animation plus if you 6 slot that martial arts teleport attack, it can do some decent damage if you use all 3 charges of it on the same grouping, it kinda feels like an additional baby nuke

i guess i would just add that empathy is known as much for its buffs as it is for healing, so don't neglect those powers!

so one of the blasters is sonic/sonic, and i'm not loving the secondary...which is weird because i love sonic assault on dominators
