The way to mitigate the target cap is to target swap frequently, so you spread the damage and debuffs around. I main an Archery/Ninja² sent. What you say about being unable to pull... Sents are in an interesting spot. We have armor, but low threat level. This means we can do maximum bravery moves and then hop back out of the mob on a team. It also means mobs chase you less. 😂 I absolutely love being able to play multiple positions in a battle, and thats why I love my Sents. Im working on two sents now, a dark² and a psi/energy. So this is insightful!
I wasn't a huge fan of sentinel, as I primarily just level to 50 and start a new toon, but ... Once I discovered that some of the secondaries get an absorption power early, everything changed. Now the leveling isn't so painful in the pre-30 levels.
@@struck1999 Uhh ... Time is not a secondary for Sentinal? Absoption is better than regen at least through the early game, and you can always respec out of it later. Radiation's Absorption power doesn't come on line til level 24, while Inv's absorb power come on line at level 4, ice comes at level 10, SR comes at level 10, Regen comes at level 10 and the rest don't get an absorb power.
I make characters for theme. The class is part of the theme. I will say Sentinels are definitely still unique enough for me to have one as well as my Over powered as hell Blaster. Additionally my sentinel is still tougher anyway in a lot of situations. I say bring whatever and have fun. My only wish is that Torchbearer wasn't abandoned :( and it's killing my drive to play. I don't want to give up my name or my SG base to transfer.

To increase damage output slot: Slot Gaussian's: chance for BU proc in Aim. Avoid slotting it in Tactics, as the proc might fire off on your way to the next mob, rendering it pointless. By slotting it in either click power, Aim, or Build Up, you get the full benefit from the proc that instant for a few seconds. Slot Decimation: Chance for BU proc also. Gladiator's Javelin: Chance for Toxic Damage. To help mitigate damage, slot Ragnarok: Chance for Knockdown in your Cone attack--baddies can't attack you if they're on their backs! I use five sets for the recharge bonus. Sometimes, I accompany it with Annihilation: Chance for Res Debuff or Positron's Blast: Chance for Energy Damage. Otherwise, I leave the attack five-slotted. Something to consider: Divide your ATIOs. This idea depends on what you're going for and the AT-for example, fire farming. The concept is to do the maximum amount of damage possible to clear each mob fast. Divide Superior Unrelenting Fury three times in Spine Burst, Blazing Aura, and Quills for the 4% dmg buff and pair it with Obliteration for its 3% dmg buff, totaling 21% dmg. Yes, you'll miss out on the Def and Res benefits, but the damage output makes up for those losses in the long run. In this case, with Sentinels, the Superior Sentinel's Ward gives 15% Accuracy for two sets. Now, you could divide it up twice for a 30% Acc. and 20% range increase, or three times for a 45% in Acc. I slot the Superior Sentinel's Ward: Recharge Time/ Chance for +Absorb in my Tier 9/Nuke attacks, increasing its recharge time to fire off again. I'm not doubting your decisions; I'm offering suggestions you may not have considered. Placing the enhancement in a power that lacks recharge is more beneficial than slotting it in a power already near perma recharge.

The Rebirth server's Guardian AT is basically a better sentinel. Jack of all trades, master of none -instead of Jack of 2 out of 5 trades, master of none.

Just tried a psychic blaster last night, I have never disliked a powerset so much, it’s ungodly slow at casting and even after casting, the projectiles take time to hit the mob, so you end up getting zero kills and everything is dead before you get your attacks off
I bounce between Excelsior, Everlasting, and Reunion. Excelsior for the highest population, but Everlasting is pretty active too. The other servers have small populations and it can be very quiet if that's what you are looking for.
1. Door sit a farmer, boring 2. Events like trick or treat, crazy but seasonal 3. Do tfs all day. Effective but slower than above. All three can be done with no enhancements at all. I normally slot common ios at level 25. I also put in essentials like miracle +rec, panacea +hp/end, and numina rec/regen when I can

I always go for time or radiation secondary as they provide absorb, + recovery and + regen
