Nice, great tips! Phrasal verbs really are so important. I try to teach them to my students every day because I think it is one of the best ways for English students to develop more advanced English. I've been making videos and writing an e-book about ways to learn new phrasal verbs, and this video is also really helpful.

That's so nice of you "" canguro English" to clear phrasal verbs up to those who find it difficult to make heads or tails of what it really means and do get around to making videos after getting off work (well..I guess it). and now I think some of your subscribers may be addicted to using the phrasal verbs all the time (when no needed) ^^
keep it up !!!!! greetings from france 🇫🇷 (Poitiers ( vienne, nouvelle Aquitaine).

  • @Astro-Markus

Really great. These phrasal verbs are basically the same as compound verbs in German. Here, the function of the participle is handed over (pun!) to a prefix. And very often, they are actually similar to the English participle. Example: to switch on -> einschalten / anschalten (to switch -> schalten) But in many clauses/sentences, the prefix is separated from the verb and so becomes a phrasal verb as well. Example: I switch on the radio. -> Ich schalte das Radio ein (Yeah. I know ... they are separate, but in English also: I switch it on.)
