Because if that’s the case I now believe you to be my father because you have my surname (Perry) and you unlike everyone else I could find you stated my perception of all life clearly and i know I have bad luck but that didn’t feel like a coincidence at all No my name is izaac not Jason, that’s my fathers name (or is it) Edit: I’m not talking to Robert f I’m talking to the stated clearly guy I put this here because this Is the first comment page so the chance of seeing this would be higher
This is awesome. The dynamic continuum you keep flashing back to really puts the video format to good use. I can see kids getting a lot out of that. And I learned more about squirrels! I always thought seed dispersion was only about eating and pooping. Maybe it's commonplace for other people, but this was wonderful information I might never have run across on my own.
Please tell me you put them back Squirrels hibernate for months without any food so if they can’t find there food stash quick enough they will starve to death
The Cholera study has to be repeated in the south and south-east Asia. This area is basically a kinda native habitat for Vibrio cholerae, but things have changed a lot in the last few decades. A sanitary flushing toilet is now almost common everywhere except for some slums. Cholera has almost vanished as well, but maybe actually its the commensal form that is wandering around.
Might be a silly assumption, but could the relationship between man and pet be argued as a “social symbiosis”? Pets receive regular nourishment from humans, humans receive emotional support/relief from relationships with pets I am most definitely speaking out of my rear but I’m just curious if this has been considered
Another thing: maybe pets (depending on the species) developing more pro-social behaviors with other species could be considered a benefit from domestication Again, just speculating here
No. Plants are the primary energy producers, some plants can just live by themselves, and others have found symbioses with animals. However, land plants and land fungi... now that could be a different story.
a question . if lichens are a symbiosis of many organisms , why do they have single scientific names ? eg: Cladonia cristatella Genuinely looking for an answer . this is one of the 2 biology paradoxes i struggle with
@@jasonperry7428 are you sure about that. Because we create carbon dioxide and plant needs carbon dioxide and plants convert them into oxygen that benefits us and other organisms

I love how you address the school science curriculum dot points. Cheers Jon! Also, thanks for saying anemone fish is mutualism. Textbooks always say comensalism. I just tell the kids whoever thinks that obviously has never seen it!

I literally just got finished watching a Smithsonisn Channel video about Angler fish and hoe the male and female have some sort of parasitic symbiosis going on, though they didn't explain why it was parasitic. If the male gives the sperm and takes nutrients then it's win/win right? Isn't the goal of the female to reproduce?
Brilliant - I'll never quite look a squirrels in the same way again!

Robert also fluffy little fetus eaters

Unlike humans, animals care for their environment and their homes but we are to ignorant and lazy to ever realise this

I didn’t know about the detoxifying reason either
Finally a real long length animated vid 😭 form you
As always you are, in fact, clear in your statements. The illustrations are fun, too.

This video actually gives you a great strategy to beat the game Plague Inc. at max difficulty.

@Garth lol i have the game and it might actually help
The way he explain is so creative 100% love it!
I come here every time just to finish the video with a happy mind, thank you John♡
Fantastic. the cholera geographical strains divergence was totally unknown to me.
Such a good channel, it's only a matter of time before more people watch it!

John, you should make video about ‘life history’, I‘ve always found that a pretty vague concept
Agreed
Well sir… I really appreciated this video. Thank you for being so informative and articulate.

Again, just speculating here
yes. pets fit the definition of symbiosis.
Pets do other things too, look at sheep dogs.
Symbiosis stated clearly-thanks
Hai 😁
Helped me a ton on science project. Thank you.
If you're trying to say is me and my Dog have a (Mutualistic) Symbiotic Relationship, I agree!
'We are UNLIKE organisms.'
That is some quality content.
Are plants and animals as a whole in a symbiotic relationship?
No. Plants are the primary energy producers, some plants can just live by themselves, and others have found symbioses with animals. However, land plants and land fungi... now that could be a different story.
Probably as parasites
Clown fish: if you keep me from getting killed and I eaten, I will sh!t in your mouth..forever
Anemone: you got a deal!
Clown fish are hilarious
So Symbiosic creatures can be friends, enemies or frenemies.
Pretty much Spidey and Venom
Carnage
That was a lot better than I thought it would be.
I had a test on this and dis totally helped me thx soo much🙏🙏
thank you for the help
Amazing video great job 👏
Great job, John! Carry on! :)

Genuinely looking for an answer . this is one of the 2 biology paradoxes i struggle with
Plants cultivated for human use, Mutualism?
Both you and I can have a symbiotic relationship
Nope That would be parasitic because were killing the plant in the process and plants release oxygen and if there’s no oxygen we all die
@@jasonperry7428 are you sure about that. Because we create carbon dioxide and plant needs carbon dioxide and plants convert them into oxygen that benefits us and other organisms
