I just finished installing this on my 2012 Rubicon. Great instructions and video,. Best part, the gawdawful noise is gone and it's all working the way it should. Thanks
What wasn’t mentioned is that this is a perfect time to grease the splines of the slip joint of the driveshaft. If the boot over the splines is still intact, all you will need are two simple replacement clamps similar to the ones one the shown Rzeppa joint - do NOT use worm clamps. IF YOU DECIDE TO DO THIS: Make sure you not the EXACT orientation of the two pieces of driveshaft. Reassembling them even one spline off will guarantee driveshaft vibration, as the weights will not be on the correct location. That, and, if the driveshaft Rzeppa is already needing replacement, check and/or replace the u-joint at the axle/pinion end. Also, anywhere you have metal meeting metal, a little application of antisieze will ensure an easy removal the next time. All in all, a little preventative maintenance since you’re down there, will be everything in the long run.
She tightened the cv boot clamp incorrectly. The excess metal should be folded over the metal band running horizontal so that the locking tabs can lock down over the excess and ensure no slippage of the clamp. No way that clamp is tight enough but other than that great video!
Late reply, but I did. I got a good deal on a kit and bought the second at full retail. Even at $300 you'd be cheaper than buying a new shaft entirely.
Three comments. First it's an incredible breath of fresh air seeing a young lady do a video typically done by a dude. Rock on, girl! Great Job. Second, great presentation. Third, and the only negative, Loctite ends with a T sound not an H sound. (at 1:53) It's pronounced Lok TIT, not Lok TIH. :)
Two words for the teraflex rzeppa joint......gar-bage. Buy a OEM for 1/3rd of the price, I guarantee it’ll last longer than the 10-12,000 miles on the two I installed. Spend the extra money you saved from the teraflex and buy a set of UCAs to correct your pinion angle
Oh yeah. Maybe not specifically from Teraflex, but I'd bet my last dollar there is. If you haven't already I'd suggest looking into yoke/u-joint conversion for more integrity. Ultimately you want to look into extended or adjustable drive shafts. They will increase overall weight but you have to remember when you gain something, you will likely lose something. Upgrading one thing will always include upgrading of another. Have fun haha
@@Poeticallity I noticed that too but it doesn't matter to me.. I've likely done worse but if she wants to get degloved due to possibility of complacency by all means. She did a good just guiding us through the process of the upgrade and I will likely be considering this upgrade here shortly.

Nice good to know thanks.
I said the same thing just after she cleaned it. haha.
you would think drilling and taping a hole for a grease zert would be the way to go and loose the boot , not sure it would work tho with out trying it
To prevent the grease from getting into my bolt holes I used foam earplugs
That's brilliant! Thanks for watching!
This was great video! My wife and I did this project together and this made it easy. Thank you :)
Thanks for watching! -Zach
Great instruction video not too long and thoroughly explained.👍
Thank you for the kind words and thanks for watching! -Zach
This was a great video honestly. The part saved me a lot of money
So I'm thinking maybe just cover those bolt holes with a bit of tape to make clean up much easier.
Great part quality however I’m installing it right now and I’m only concerned about removing this at a later date because the bolts go in sideways

Those clamps are junk anyways. Just use a Oetiker 🤘
Great tutorial young lady.
Thank you kindly! :) -Merideth
Try to do this on the short shaft had no luck it won’t come off it’s almost like it’s a weld it on there
When tightening down the cv joint to the transfer case. I'm finding it difficult to prevent the drive shaft from rotating. Any suggestions?
Place in N
Would you recommend replacing both the front and rear joints on a 2 door?
Late reply, but I did. I got a good deal on a kit and bought the second at full retail. Even at $300 you'd be cheaper than buying a new shaft entirely.
Is it one part number front and rear? Caz I’m doing all in one shot
Will this one for the rear driveshaft
Do a frontier with the 2 piece CV joint driveshaft
We currently do not carry parts for Nissan Frontiers, sorry! -Zach
Do you need to add any grease to the splines on the shaft before you slide the teraflex on?

Would that fit in the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport S?
No, this is specific fitment is for 2007-2018 JK. Sorry about that!
Which wheels are those?
How did you get the grease in all the bolt holes??
Well after a wild night in Vegas...

Is there a kit for a tj?

Will this work for the rear axel as well ?
Yes
$150 now $190.... sick.
😗😗
is it hard for anyone else to listen to someone wearing a charm bracelet telling us how to fix something? I'm just saying....
Did she not install it properly, though? I'm just saying... Thanks for watching! -Zach
Sure... safely? Nope...
