1 of the few things I can say the Netflix series did better than the original Nickelodeon series was expanding upon Ozai & Iroh's relationship as brothers. In the original series they never are on screen together, but here there are multiple times they interact with each other, which adds more to their backstories & character developments.

Also, having the 41st Division be Zuko's crew was a nice detail that I'm glad they included.
Agni Kai: this is literally a great example of Asian punishment if the child lacked respect or discipline.I would be terrified if DDK yelled at me.
3:30 Since you like Lost, the actor for the head fire sage is the guy that did all the Dharma films as well as Miles's dad. Funny they both wound up on here, as well as Jin (who also voiced characters in the cartoon and the sequel series, Korra).
The spirit episode is where I feel the animated series really starts, which happens to also be episode 5. No surprise it’s your favorite here. George Takei is also in the animated series, but a much more minor role.

I wonder why they haven’t had Iroh see spirits or Chow make mention about hearing Iroh’s trips to The Spirit World.

To me the live-action series was amazing. Regardless how you feel about the live-action series... You definitely owe it to yourself to watch the original animated series. It's not a coincidence why everyone including critics rated it 100%. It's the greatest show ever. And that's not an exaggeration. I give the live-action an 8/10. The animated series a 10/10.
the animated series is leagues above the live action and it doesnt take very long to get through. i highly recommend checking it out even if you dont love this show. these last episodes are for sure the strongest though
The adaptation's version of Roku is like Loki's version of Odin in that Thor scene where Matt Damon plays Loki sacrificing himself so heroically in a drama lol. It just doesn't sit right with me, but I'm still fascinated by this series!
I’m surprised Chow never discovered that if you kill The Avatar while in The Avatar State The Avatar Dies.
I like that they turned the tide and have Jun crusty on Iroh. Jun is really good at flirting the actres who plays her is phenomenal.

I don’t like the Actor who plays Avatar Roku I prefer they got somebody taller and whose voice come close to Rokus and be a little more serious. Netflix made Roku so goofy on purpose so he wouldn’t upstage Kyoshi. I get it but still I don’t like it.
