The change to making the squadron he spoke out for in the meeting actually be his crew was an amazing creative choice
Is it like that in the original cartoon?
@@IEXECUTIVE no
Coming to America for me
9:47 she reminding me of the crazy Kung Fu killer wolf bitch from the boondocks
And ozai wanting to hear zuko speak was also creative to show their differences when it comes to leading.
Imo the live action did the fire nation especially Zuko and Iroh so well, I enjoyed watching their dynamic in this so much especially them in episode 4, great reaction
Feel the same way, actually shed a few tears on this
Thought so too, honestly there were times I’d fast forward to their scenes hahaha.
It gave depth to them early on, compared to the original which waited till... Book 3 to expand their lore. Kudos to the crew for the Live Action series, for making those decisions.
I love how you understand the context of the show and taking it as its own storyline and as good as a show it is on its own!
The actor who played Zuko did an amazing job, and he sounds like him too at times, Zuko 🔛🔝hands down😌🏆🥇!!
Your reaction was spot on, as always!! Love the fact that don’t really remember the original, cuz all these OG Avatar channels I’ve been watching for a few years, bringing us the news for the (at the time) upcoming Netflix show, now their videos turned into literal garbage, so stuck up on the original, and being nitpicky, how Netflix SHOULD have done this or that, my head is literally EXPLODE listening to them, since the show actually came out ! I vibe with your reaction, since I found this show sooooo good, it is like a more grown up version to the original, love the changes that they mede even though I saw the Nickelodeon version over a 100 times in the past 10 years ! Keep these coming pls! You will LOVE episode 7, can’t wait to see your face, when you see that Blue bending for real 😆👏
Dallas' acting when Ozai banishes him man. His quiet crying. That was sooo painful
Edit: I was mentioning different actor name
Dallas Liu plays Zuko. Gordon plays Aang if I recall correctly.
@@mikalero oh sorry!
@@slantedglasses7242nothing you need to apologize for. ^_^ Just thought I'd let you know.
@@mikalero thank youuu
Gyatso stayed just to say to Aang that it was never his fault 😢
So deep bro
When he tells aang "so let go" and u see aangs face like he got a gut punch I started crying my eyes out
That's the problem with the haters... they miss out on exceptional moments like this, that actually put the original story to shame. Zuko saving the company that became his banished crewmen vs. Just being assigned them (in the original) is a great change. Same with giving Ozai a warped sense of righteousness.
And the mask commentary - reminds so much of Batman.
So true like everyones so focused on details that dont matter in the bigger context when you realize they are intent on not only expanding but connecting storylines and messages together and make them so impactful. They take moments from the cartoon that are relatively insignificant (Zuko's crew) and tie them together to make it all cohesive and emotional. They reference things that you would only recognize if you were an avid fan (ex: the totem of the mom from which you see her in the comics). They are so creative and mindful of alot of the changes they make. You can tell that they understand these characters and they are passionate about the message they are trying to deliver. And they make it a point to take all these main characters and give them depth that even the cartoon was a bit one-note about. Watching interviews I can tell how much respect and love the cast has for the source material. And it can only get better from here as the actors get more into their roles and the story takes off.
I saw the animation when I was a kid, like what we look for when looking at cartoons as kids is adventure the funny moments at the end of the day the animation was for kids mostly saw grown ass people hating on the live action for doing some changes and not being exactly like the source material enjoy the live action it's more emotional and deep and as an adult now i like what they did that's jus me
Hands down my favorite episode ❤
This episode had me WEEPING
9:43 she's acting like luna from The boondocks when grandad lied and said he was going to Fidel Castro's birthday party and Luna said you are so cute. But I call him Fi- diddy
This episode broke US!
I live is going off the road amazing just like the Anime. I love them both. This writers are doing they job. Wish I could come out with my stories the same way. They would set the world on 🔥 with the content and characters
7:10 coming to America hop on one leg! Bark like a dog
I like your positive take on this series. I also enjoyed it more than the hatetubers haha… and it genuinely made me emotional in many moments. Most of my personal nitpicks just had to do with the awkward dialogue. Some things about it do seem unnecessary when the original script was so good. I only have one major plot gripe that truly irritated me. But I didn’t mind most of the changes and watching it as its own version. Watching this got me to watch the animated series again and it can’t be beat…. But I do like some of the additions here.
what a beautiful episode , and a great reaction 🙏 thank you so much
I enjoyed the show. Regardless of changes. I see it as a stand alone. I was worried about if it would have the heart, innocence, and character building as the original and it does in it's own way. Hope the complete the story all the way through and they stick the landing. They may need to rush the seasons due to the actors getting older etc. Or they can just explain it with some time jumps or something and hope the audience is not looking for a carbon copy of the anime. Hope they know it is not possible. Loved this episode too. The mask part, I couldn't help but to think of batman at that moment because Bruce Wayne is the actual mask and Batman is his true self.
Batman logic the mask is whom you really are
My favourite episode. In this Netflix version of Avatar, Zuko's story arc is the strongest arc among the characters.
Hoodwinked is one of my favorite movies lol its really hard to find online nowadays though
Someone in this episode: *breathe*
This guy: "ehyhy"
This episode was truly phenomenal
All the avatars were probably good but kiyoshi was 0 nonsense get the job done I'm willing to bet she probably enjoyed Airbending
I love seem more of Zuko's story. However I don't like that Aang haven't even train water yet which is the whole point of book 1 what's next?meet Toph and doesn't learn Earth either in Book 2????
It irked me a little too. Then I thought about it and realised that this version of Aang is even less knowledgeable about being the Avatar than his cartoon self. It's not so much about learning the elements, then it is about him realising the purpose of the Avatar. And since they're taking initiatives from Korra, the comics and the novels - they'll likely reference Avatar Wan and the true goal of the Avatar.
So Season 1 here would be less "Water" and more "Avatar"
@@Cabolt44 i couldn't stand Legend of Korra. Aang for me always. 💞
