- Amber Heard testified during her defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor forced a full body cavity search on her, including alleging that he sexually assaulted her during the incident. Depp is suing Heard for $50 million dollars, claiming her statements of being a domestic violence victim at his hands are false and were done in an effort to ruin his acting career.

Exactly this, also consider that she's trying to make crying noises, but her noise is completely open(not blocked), thus she legitimately didn't have a single tear or it would have leaked from her nose.

As someone who is very emotional but absolutely HATES crying in public (and I mean regular public, not tv’s and video cameras, but just anyone outside my closest people seeing me cry) I can tell her emotions aren’t real. When you’re trying to not cry, tears will still pour out even if you’re able to control your voice and stop yourself from sobbing. You also can’t turn it on and off. Most of all, once you’re crying, it’s nearly impossible to just stop. She isn’t genuine and it’s incredibly obvious.
Well said. Theres usually a lot of runny nose as well as tears drain out of the nose too. All completely absent. Her face couldn't be more dry. And all that being said I dont need tears to believe her. Just authenticity. And this isnt it. This was a calculated ploy to try to win over the jury. Surely they see what we see??

Not just eye contact, or the way she is portraying her stories, but the intimacy with other men out of wedlock, destruction of property, constant barrage of thrown items, lying on where money is going, intentionally telling him he will never be considered a victim because no one will believe him, insulting and demeaning statements of being "old, washed up, tired". Johnny Depp, although he likes to speak in hypotheticals that aren't serious to his friends like Paul B. He isn't clear of his own type of verbal abuse, that can get to people and bring out the worst in them. So yes, they are both guilty, one more than the other. Amber is potentially a dangerous partner, James Franco needs to wake up and smell the roses...erm well the poop I suppose, in this case.

I think the key difference is genuineness. Johnny seemed very genuine, like he was really thinking and trying to recall things correctly. He would leave these pauses as he remembered things, spoke very softly, very normally. Didn't get dramatic or embellished over anything.
Even though he was abused, he was calm and composed. I applaud him for that.

I've NEVER seen a witness look completely around the room SO much during their ENTIRE time they're talking. Almost like how we were taught to give speeches in school. Johnny looked down half the time and straight at the person asking him the other half. That's VERY telling to me.

I feel sorry for Johnny as well... Being violent isn't better than being physically abusive. In fact verbal and emotional abuse is far more damaging than physical. I grew up in a home with constant DV... In my country at the time we didn't have any laws protecting victims of DV. In fact the police came only once at home while my dad was beating up my mom and they told him "Come on, dude, don't beat her, stop fighting." and they left.... I was ten at the time and was in shock, shaking in my bed that in the morning I had to face him.... He never ever hit me but the emotional trauma and the verbal abuse for years, led to mental health issues that I need to carry my whole life...
So again, I don't defend Amber. But Johnny isn't innocent either. He needs to approach his issues and work on getting better. I hope they both get the adequate therapy and treatment and one day could look back and see this as a stepping stone.

That's what I was trying to say yesterday and one of my posts I was abused horribly The man was in Arizona's top 10 most violent. And for years I would look down or away I would never look anybody in the eye let alone look them in the eye when I was telling them what he did. Before him I always look people in the eye during him and after him I looked down and away, And it took a lot of years to hold my head back up and look somebody in the eye and I still get uneasy if somebody seems a little more aggressive

I served Jury Duty on a sexual abuse case and I can tell you that the victim wasn't able to tell their story this clearly or remember such detailed memories like Amber does. She also cried hysterically at times and sometimes couldn't contain herself! It was heartbreaking. Unlike Amber, she had REAL tears! She also rarely looked at the Jury because you could tell she was embarrassed having to relive what she had to tell us. It was a month long trial and it was super hard to witness her traumatizing experience

I was SA aged 15 yrs old, it only went to trial a few years ago, in my 40s. I can still remember what nightie I wore, what was on his lounge wall, and I refused to cry. He got off. I wasn't allowed to say what I wanted during the trial. I wasn't allowed to review my video statement beforehand, despite making it several years ago. I got no advice on what to say or not say, how to be etc
There were 8 men and 4 women on jury. I wasn't given anything to eat or drink all day, despite being put in this room from 9am, till I went in court room around 3pm. It was a joke

I feel like she thinks that presenting her story as if it were a movie, helps make her believable. But imo it has the opposite effect. It doesn't feel like she's recounting what happened, but trying to convince others by impressing them with vivid imagery, and minute, random details. I feel like people usually don't communicate like they're Morgan Freeman narrating something lol. I'm reminded of what Spidey from Behavoral Arts says, "Truth tellers tell. Liars sell."

She has problems. She watched people with real PTSD and is trying to mimic. Disgusting. I’ve never seen a person with real ptsd (including myself i have cptsd) have that much “control” over their emotions. The switch from crying to talking with almost hostility is insane. When I have flashbacks or moments where i disassociate and am back in those traumatic moments I can’t stop those thoughts at will. I will have a full panic attack sometimes yelling the things I wish i had said in the moment. She stays completely in touch with reality the entire time. On that opposite side, sometimes I can have a “dead” look. I’ll just stare off into space as I tell the story, she keeps looking around like she needs all eyes on her.
