Thank you very much for watching 🤗 - Наука та технологія
Some people spend a fortune on tools; you have a fortune's worth of skills.
Thank you very much 🤗
Thanks for your demo . Never used a card scraper but going to order a kit and give it a try. Thanks
Its nice tools to have in your bags of tricks
That was the easiest and most direct method I’ve ever seen! Thank you for sharing.
Glad to hear that ☺️
what a great video. thanks for sharing. Debs.
PS. yes some of the FB woodturning groups can be exhausting with the Safety Police attitude. They think if they didn't buy a tool from a known woodturning manufacturer, that it's somehow dangerous. Despite centuries of being used this way. thanks.
Thank you very much 😀 nicely said 😉
Great and that’s the way I learned. It’s pretty much the only way that period furniture looks right. Back before sandpaper things were roughed out with a scrub plane, then jack and fore planes and smooth planes. Then scraped. Shark skin was used but not to much effect. When you see reproduction furniture that looks truly period, it’s because it was finished with scrapers. Everything up to that point can be interchanged for various reasons. Scrapers are priceless. Thank you for cutting the bs.
You said it nicely, once again thank you for watching 🤗
Thank you Tomislav. I always learn a lot from you, Angelo, Rafkin, and Peace. You guys need to combine and write a book.
Who knows what future brings 🤗
Thank you for watching
🕶thanks Tomislav
😀
Nice. A
The shaft of a drill bit works quite well as a burnisher as well. You can pick the diameter you like, put a handle on it and it will last forever.
Indeed, that is good method as well
Very useful information. I’ve used a cabinet scraper for years and only recently started to use it on bowls, useful when trying to get something straight. Thanks for the sharpening tips, I will have to give this a try.
Glad to hear that
Can't wait to try this. I'm glad I don't throw away broken sawmill blades.
Those can be good for iron acetate solution as well, so really no reason to throw it away😀
Thanks for the demonstration on sharpening a card scraper. I have read how but not seen it explained in a video. Would like to see how you use this on a bowl. Maybe you could cover the dos and don’ts of using a card scraper on a bowl. Thanks
Already video is ready for editing 😀
I love it very well explained .. thank you ,, Terry from Ireland,
Thank you Terry
Great video. Very clear and useful. Thanks!
Glad to hear that
Amazing!, I was taught to sharpen tools by my grandfather, he said "little and often"
jak fryzjer, który ostrzy brzytwę
Indeed, I agree with your grandfather
Well explained, Tomislav. I think a majority of people are just getting the job done using spit and screwdrivers. The rest are living in a woodworking magazine cover. Do they get much made? Probably, but I don't see anything wrong with what I've watched you do, in the six months I've been watching you.
Thank you Jay, appriciate that ☺️
As always, great video.
Thank you 😀
Excellent!
Thanks
8:20 I think this is the first video someone mentions that the correct angle is important. I think I always held the scraper in the wrong angle (too flat) . Thank you!
Glad to help out 🤗
The safety police. 🙂 They must have nothing better to do than critisize anyone who does anything but sit on a couch all day.
I guess so 😉 thank you for watching
