I’m Rachael Sloan. I’m a divorce coach for men. I’m also a Master NLP Practitioner, a certified life coach, and the creator of Better Beyond Divorce, a unique approach to divorce recovery based specifically on the needs of men.
I help divorced men move from the shock, betrayal, grief and anger they experience both during and after a divorce, to a place of clarity, calm and confidence. In these videos, I intend to help you do the same.
DISCLAIMER: I am a Master NLP Practitioner and personal growth mentor. The material in this video represents my understanding and experience and nothing more. How do I move forward with 12 years of similar likes and dislikes, that everything is a reminder? Embracing everything that I love individually, riding, hiking, etc. etc., is a catalyst for even more pain. Every step of 17 miles of trails reminds meof the loss of my fantasy, the loss of my wife.
Fuck other chicks, you will heal
You’re the only that I’ve really understood during my divorce
Hi Nick, I'm glad these videos have been helpful. Thank you for watching and for being a part of this YT community.
Your voice is so healing when you explain on these tough things for us guys that are going through divorce.
I have not talked to her since 8 23 2009.lm praying for restoration for our mairage. During time separated I'm praying the court orderd anger management classes she can get some help with her temper and violence issues I'm also asking you for prayer. Her name is Julee Lynn.
Rachel you have no idea (maybe you actually know) how helpful your videos has been for me through this last to months, the darkest and saddest period of my whole existence. Big hug and many thanks from Chile.
Thank you for this amazing comment. You're welcome. It means a lot to me to know that the videos have been so impactful for you. I'm so sorry you're going through this. Do you have some good support on your side?
after 22 years of marriage and two daughters, she's asked for a divorce and we've signed the papers. I'm a wreck. She told me she's been thinking about divorce for the past two years, but when I've asked about counseling she says it's too late. I'm lost as I am very depressed with the challenge of moving forward without her and our whole family unit. What hurts more is it seems she is just "fine" if not happy as she moves forward.
I’m on the same boat, 14 years of marriage and two kids. After only a couple of months of separation she started seeing someone new. It’s been five months since separation and she treats me like a total stranger. We communicate strictly about the kids. I feel lost and confused about how we got here. She claims she just slowly fell out of love. Just know that you’re not alone as others are on the same journey of grieving and picking up what pieces of yourself are left.
As a Catholic Christian, I unite my sorrow, loneliness, pain, disappointment, sadness, shame, anger, resentment, physical illness, mental and emotional wounds to Christ's suffering. All of which pale in comparison to His suffering for our sins.
I no longer willingly carry these items. I asked for forgiveness through Reconciliation and Penance.
You have to get up and be willing to do the work of surrender and forgiveness to your spouse. You're angry? You have a right to, but don't hold on to it.
Pax Christi Salve Regina.
It took a few days to sink in but your stream from 3 days ago has been very helpful for me
I'm glad it was helpful. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to come back and comment. If you're open to sharing... what part of it was the most helpful for you? I ask because the more I can understand what resonates and what doesn't the more useful I can make future videos :)
@@RachaelSloanRelationshipCoach the most specific thing I can say is to try to think about what part of my body I feel my sadness in. I'm not sure why but it does seem to help keep things at a manageable level. I guess trying to identify where on my physical body I feel emotional pain helps it seem more finite.
@@johncapito4066 thank you. If you’re curious about why that helps, I have a free masterclass that explains it in more detail. When you focus on the physical sensations you activate a part of your conscious brain that communicates directly with the limbic system, which is where emotions originate. The science behind it is pretty cool!
You can find the masterclass with all the details in the free version of my Better Beyond Divorce App. You can get it here if you’d like the deeper dive: resources.rachaelsloancoaching.com/bbd-community-sign-up1692041471505?inf_contact_key=fa61e53f2836baf1077448fdb54715ae
Thanks for watching and for sharing what helped. I really splurge feedback.
Why do the men have such a hard time but some women (seems like most) can just move on. Do they have a different nervous system?
This has been really hard having a terminal illness…
Thank you!!! Healing already
My marriage lasted only 3 months....I just feel lonely ever since and when I see my friends or colleagues with there famillies I feel even more lonely
My pastor is praying for us.
Thankyou. Richard in colorado
Am I crazy for almost wishing my wife had cheated on me so it would be easier to hate her? I do feel mostly anger but I also know that we had a toxic relationship for most our 17 years and in a situation like that it’s not just one person. I know I am not good with stress management and neither was she. I just was willing to do anything to fix our marriage and she wasn’t willing to do anything
Can you please do a video where you recommend books that would help?
I actually did this a few months back! You can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/4Mtzg9ORxeo/v-deo.html
It's been 24 years I'm trying to push ahead I've been writing songs about my ex about me and God he told me to take down my high walls of protection entrust my spirit I've had Spirit Angel since I was a little kid they're still with me
Thanks for watching and sharing, David. It sounds like you have some good internal and spiritual support, and song writing/music can be so healing. Do you also have some people in your life that you can count on for support?
In colorado I'm a victim of d.v. she is 71 I'm 60. I miss her but not the stress. Automatic no contact order in place.

I didn't give a lot of notice, unfortunately. The live streaming thing is new for me and I'm just starting to get the hang of it. They seem to be popular though, so I'm going to do more. It's my intention to create a regular schedule and announce it here and to my email list so that you have a little more heads up next time.

Hello Richard
Sweater Weather???
Right?!? But it totally is. I live in Oaxaca, Mexico, up in the mountains at about 8300 feet above sea level. Summer is the rainy season here, and it is often misty and cool... so totally sweater weather even though everyone else in the world seems to be baking right now 😂
