Better keep it open. We need it with all the shootings going on. Let's not forget carjackings.

2 years for shop lifting when majority are hit with less than a year and usually released with a fine and probation - WHY DIDD SHE SPEND 2 YEARS IIN JAIL ?

Usually it's because of a record if you are a habitual thief the length of the time gets longer and if you are on Probation or other things on top of that the length of time gets longer. First time offenders get probation and it goes up from there

After the dip in price of Cryptocurrency from a higher level, some traders and investors view this as an advantageous time to buy or add to an existing position, I'd advice family and friends to trade rather than holding, because buying and holding doesn't guarantee maximum profit.

A lady arrested and put in jail 10 times for shoplifting is telling the city what’s best for tax payers and the law abiding - relax the new mayor will fix everything - oh wait she’s leaving.

I'm so inspired by Marilynn, Mayor Bottoms & their networks. I know there isn't a simple answer that will make every person happy but I'm proud of what they did & do & pray that they continue their efforts. Hopefully this plan or something similar will happen while keeping people safe & productive.. This was a GREAT story!

When they stop committing crimes, we might not need jails but rewarding that behavior does not help anyone. There’s way too much time and money spent on trying to make victims of these criminals who are selfish and lazy and refuse to accept responsibility for themselves.

@Exposing Thelies it’s not that simple. Our judicial system is corrupt as all get out and good people get locked up every day for victimless crimes. Besides those who make unconstitutional laws aren’t even subject to those same laws

Keep it open, there's a homeless shelter for drug and alcohol treatment, next door, it's called Gateway Centre. The Mayor is a low rent social justice crusader, Atl., has to fix it's self from within.

Mayor said make a place with 24 hour daycare and drug classes wow just great I understand they will be separated but imagine taking your kids to daycare with drug addicts in the same building , parking lot. Second I know some people can't find family to watch kids who work night shift but damn that's crazy

Atlanta is over-rated. A lot of the homeless sleep around the courts there. They also use they also relieve themselves, (#1 & 2) right on the side of the buildings' ramps there. Atlanta has to do better. Not to mention they built the Mercede's stadium downtown also. I don't understand how any state can build around the homeless in this country.

Jails and prisons are literally a business. They don’t care about resorting to jail when it comes to offenders. It’s literally a business. They make $ off of every booking

How about Not breaking the law so you won't go to jail and or prison. We already pay so much to house and feed the criminals and now they want to soften the experience when getting arrested and doing time. We want it to be a horrible experience so maybe they don't come back. And about rehabilitate the inmates it's like this if they have their minds set to continue to break the laws and keep coming back to jail and or prison sending them to classes while their locked up there is nothing no one can do to change that mind set or they would've already changed and stopped coming to jail, prison.
