Evelyn and George were the first friends I made in the game and when I saw the quest gifts for George I just had to make them happy 😅
for real! the ending cutscene is really sweet too
it was the first community quest on there that I did, because George and Evelyn have always been a couple of my favorite characters, and it made me so happy to do it

@@Goobliet if you're talking about Ginger Island, then you have to finish the Community Center or Joja if you're doing that. Willy will send you a letter letting you know about the back door in his shop being open. But the boat needs to be fixed up, here are the requirements; 5 Iridium Bars, 5 Battery Packs, and 200 pieces of hardwood. It may seem hard but it's easier once you get used to it. Once you've got all that, you just need to pay 1000 g for the boat ride. Hope this helps

I havent played in a while but what was it used for again? I know i was mostly making starfruit wine to make money and trying to max out my last few relationships to hit max perfection.
@@wolfyblackknight8321 Mostly Jumino hutts and tree fertilizer (cause never have enough wood for kegs) those are the big fiber wasters. There are other recipes too but those are more light on using it such as scarecrows and looms
@@lovelydeedee0 right I remember it took a long time to make all the kegs I was making and the junimo huts I think I just had a ton of fiber since I tend to hoard everything.

@@wolfyblackknight8321grass starter is made of 10 fiber each and grass can be used for animal feed in spring, summer and fall (then you cut down the excess grass to get hay for the winter)
TIP for the community cleanup quest: just fish in the little pond in your farm. It’s 100% trash and you’ll usually finish the quest within a day

I have the riverland farm. Just casually opening my crab pots was enough xD
or leave 20 cropots in your farm
I went to floor 100 of the mines and fishes there. I only got trash so it was easy lul.

Didn't even mention the best part about fiber seeds.
Fiber seeds can grow in winter, allowing you to maintain tilled soil through winter, saving half a day's energy come springtime.

So, I took the George quest and found a whole 3 leeks during the whole duration 😢
Grow them with the spring forage seeds
Also you can turn One of the spring collectables into the seed again for trying to get the Leek again (and use Fertilizer to grow them faster)
Yes, this happened to me when I tried to do it without using spring seeds. Its probably impossible to find 12 without growing them yourself. Ok, maybe not impossible...highly improbable.

Fiber seeds will save your life
...and your fertilizers. Deluxe fertilizers are too expensive to make and fiber seeds saves saves them from the changing seasons, EVEN FROM WINTER.

Emily’s gem quest that unlocks the sewing machine is a must. It makes creating clothes more convenient and it’s a super easy quest.

Espresso machine? I wish. It gives you one coffee every morning. However, it was very much worth doing the quest. Every 3 days I have another espresso to add to my stack, or I can do my morning routine faster everyday. Love it. That was a quest worth doing! And the cut scene was lovely, too.
idk how many hundreds of hours i have in this game but i had no idea solar panels existed
Another trick for the Community Cleanup quest is to fish in the little ponds that appear on your farm. They mainly just give you trash.
It's worth mentioning that the solar panels will only produce a battery every 7 SUNNY days. So if it's raining or snowing on a day, that day will not progress it. Solar panels are thus best placed in Calico Desert. Also a single regular coffee per day isn't that significant so I would replace the last one on the list with the "Juicy Bugs Wanted" quest. The reward is the recipe to craft quality bobber, which can give a big boost to your fishing income if you still actively fish.

@@scotter88 All of them will appear at random on the special requests board in town. The board becomes available in fall year 1. Some of the quests for the board only become available after the island is unlocked, but the juicy bugs wanted one is available from the start. Just gotta get lucky that it gives you that one. The board resets every Monday.

Honestly the farm computer trumps the espresso machine, it saves a bunch of time from checking the greenhouse and the farm cave as well as any processing equipment on the farm or in sheds.
Yeah and it’s about to get even more useful in the next update.

My methos for fibre os this:
Go to ginger island with a prismatic shards and get " haymaker " on your sword.
Then repeat lvl 81 of the mines over and over. You get guaranteed fibre each fibre piece and a good chance of hay
I honestly don't even drink coffee in Stardew that much. In fact, I only ever drink it when Sebby gifts it to me in the morning, because I just couldn't break his heart by NOT immediately gulping down the piping hot beverage he went out of his way to make especially for me! He gets pumpkin soup on those days instead of his usual daily sashimi, as an extra thank you!

Yup when I have 100 seeds planted or a lot of mining to do nothing is better than Sebastian's coffee.

@@mcdanzy8379 the only counter point I'll offer is the geode crusher still takes 1 hoyr per geode vs an almost infinite number Clint can do so long as you have cash and inventory
When you have 500+ geodes, good luck.. You need like 50 crushers, I see no point wasting recourses.

completing the A Curious Substance (finding an ectoplasm) quest from the wizard which unlocks the mini-obelisk recipe is more important than most of these.
i don't think mini-obelisk is that great btw. You only can put them in your farm area. Sre it is faster than running from one corner to other but it is not necessary than the others

Geode crusher now increments rng so it’s not used for cheesing the rng anymore, however it’s still okay to have

I find robins resource rush (stone version) to be very good. Wood is hard to collect 1000 of, but 1000 stone is just a good day mining. And getting the stone chest recipe is great as you need wood for a lot of stuff.
Trees grow SO fast with fertilizer, and they're just so easy to harvest all day = 1.5k wood!
@thomaszinecker1785 my current playthrough I have tree farms in the quarry, train station, and desert. I agree now that wood can be easy to collect

By the time you get solar panels, battery packs aren't really needed anymore though. My issue with the geode crusher is, it won't open treasure troves and coconuts. So even though I use it, I always go to Clint anyways. And it takes coal which is super important early and mid game for expansion.
The fiber seeds I underestimated first play through, but now always want.

I was going to say the farm computer was the most essential special orders reward, but then I realized the fruit tree tracking and Greenhouse tracking and farm cave tracking features are actually part of Stardew Valley Expanded. 🙃
That thing seriously has a ton of potential because the game actually tracks a shitton of variables and I hope it gets even a minor update in 1.6 to show more of those.

You only need to find a couple in the wild, then make them into spring seed packs and plant them.
Though, honestly, one coffee/day is kind of whatever. I do the quest for the quest's sake, for coffee I prefer to plant a coffee bean. A bit of work early on (harvesting the coffee beans can get annoying if you plant too much) but you have basically infinite coffee with it.
