We had some people over and served this using slow cooked pigs feet. Quite a hit. They loved it. Better honestly than Adobo. One of our favorite dishes. This version is quite good. Note the Chinese BBQ sauce(Char siu) is a nice addition.
I tried, madami na pala ang 1kilo, kaso na overcooked ko, mejo mapait pero masarap pa rin, wala pala akonh del monte pineapple juice, nagtimpla nlng ako ng tang pineapple juice hehe

I decided to cook this with Erythritol(sugar substitute). It was actually very good, but of course, sugar substitutes are never as good as the real thing. Again, I appreciate your recommendation. Be well!!!

In Manila, my mom usually cook that without the black beans , star anise and vinegar and more water and she calls it tayuba. I don't know whether it is from Pampanga or Pangasinan where she hails from.

Ingredients List:
1.2 kg Pork belly
6 tbsp Soy sauce
1.5 tsp pepper
2 tbsp sugar
220 ml pineapple juice
3 star anise
*marinate 10 mins
2 small onions
6 cloves garlic
3 tbsp vinegar
2 pcs bayleaf
300 ml water
100 grams black bean tausi
50 grams banana blossom
