"NUMBER ONE": This video is typical Irene Iron Travels - informative, quick to the point, and quick-witted. Nice. And "NUMBER TWO": This one and so many of your previous videos pushed me over this great big hang-up of mine - Irene Iron Travels is my very first UA-cam subscription. Shouldn't your channel get some kind of prize for that? I very much like your commitments to personal health and overall well-being, Traveling in the USA, boon-docking, Class-B RV / VanLife, and each other. You make it all look challenging, fun, responsible, and achievable. It's like you really do "have it all." Be well!
Well......... if this isn't just the nicest comment to get! Thank you for subscribing to our channel and it being your first! Really appreciate you watching and the comment!!😊
I have found city parks are an excellent place to get water. There is usually a spigot near the drinking fountain. Be prepared for a long run of hose though, I carry 40 ft. Great vid!
Wendy, for me I had no idea what dump stations looked like and never noticed them before buying an RV. As soon as I got one, I started noticing them everywhere - including highway rest stops in some states!
In many states, there are laws that drinking water cannot be dispensed within 10-25 feet of open sewage (IE, a dump station). So, they label the water as non-potable just to keep things legal. It's probably coming from the exact same pipe as the water inside. If you use your own hose, a good filter, and maybe pour a little bit of bleach in the tank for good measure, you'll probably be fine. Although this is just a general situation and sometimes it's reclaimed water.
As always, thanks for sharing, and broaching the "unspoken" life of an RV'er. Hope the new trailer is working out. Thank you again for your time in sharing your lives. Can't wait to get back to the gym now that California has opened up. I feel and look like the Stay-Puff man.
Just a suggestion, but the next time you two are in Las Cruces, the Scenic Overlook off Hwy 10 is a very nice spot to bed down. We stayed there twice last month. It's away from the highway so its quiet and the views are a lot better than Walmart. Great videos, big fan and safe travels.
We have had good luck with most city waste water treatment plants. All that we have used were free! One I found through Campendium. Our local plant is typically our last stop before we pull in at home after a trip. Water... that is a tough one for us! Thanks for the video! 🙂💩🤣
QUESTION: Wondering about your emergency exit plans. One benefit of the B is you can just drive away but, what about obstructions/fire or something bad in the cab area or blocking the slider. I wonder about "practicing" exiting out the back with the lounge up or down, and making sure your swing hitch is out of the way, etc. Learning a lot from you. You guys are really great! Thank you.
Hey Kalil, you are totally right, the emergency exit in the back is blocked with the bike rack on there. You can reach the handle with the bed down, so when we are parked for more than a night the rack is usually in the down position and the door would open. But, if it was up and the front was blocked we do have an option to break the side windows and climb out if it came to that. Its good you are thinking about the worst case scenarios like this, because most people don't!
Great info! Thanks for sharing! There are some cool places here in Tucson, Arizona where I live, but I still miss visiting other places too and like watching these travel vlogs until I can see them myself. Keep your content coming! I’m following!
👍 great information, I tread carefully around the actual dumping operation, 4 for 4 success so far but not looking forward to the day the mistake is made! Need to look up Campendium.
Hello, thanks for watching and that is a great video topic to do. I installed the solar before we left for ft rving and before UA-cam! I will put it on the list!
That is a great topic for a video Shelley! We get around decision fatigue by not planning too much and just going with the flow!😂😂 But it does happen especially if we are more stressed for what ever reason. We tend to do a week or so traveling, so we are prepared for the decisions, and then we do a week or two at a campground where we can unwind and relax a bit.
It helps to have the little 4 gallon trash bags that we use and it really depends on the area. Sometimes there is a city dump you an drive to, other times the RV dump stations will have garbages. Rest areas, welcome centers and sometimes we use the gas station after filling up on gas!
I don't know if it was the lighting or perhaps my monitor...but did Chris' hair look a lot darker than usual in the intro? On topic: I think it is funny that on the app Aaron showed us to find dumps, the 'dump' section is colored brown. Yes, I am an adult, but at the same time: no, I won't grow up.
She gets a lot of comments on that! I think it was because she straightened it and it looks a bit different ...but who knows! The app color coats it just for a chuckle I'm sure! 😂😂😂
I(Aaron) do all the dumping and I use a pair of cloth mechanics gloves that are washable. Once you get used to it it's not that bad and you just make sure to wash your hands after!
Mary, I know whose Irene. I was just messing with Aaron, he always asked in the beginning of the video whose Irene but never answered in the video. He told me in a reply :-)

That makes sense! We haven't had too much trouble finding water, but sometimes it can be a bit of a pain! Thanks!
Thank you for the excellent examples! We have often wondered how hard it would be to find dumps and water. I feel more confident now 😊
Appreciate you watching!

That's interesting, I hadn't heard that. But it's that unknown that scares ya!😳

Thanks for the tip! We really don't like Wal Marts at all! Appreciate you watching!!
Thank you for answering that question. It’s definitely been a concern of mine as a future full time RVer.
Any time!

Oh nice! I forgot about water treatment plants. We went to one in the Poulsbo Washington area and it was a nice experience and free like you said!

It does take abit to get the comfort level up...... but not too comfortable to make a mistake like you said!
I saw on another site that ioverlander.com maps out water. I haven't checked it out , So, I'm just throwing it out there.
Oh cool, I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the note!
Hi, can you do a video about your solar panels upgrade including wiring? Thanks, keep up the good work...
Hello, thanks for watching and that is a great video topic to do. I installed the solar before we left for ft rving and before UA-cam! I will put it on the list!
@@IreneIronTravels Thanks, you guys are the best! Keep doing what you do, it really makes a difference...

Thank you. That was very helpful.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks to much! Perfect and informative.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for asking the question!!
Another informative video!! I was wondering if you two ever get "decision fatigue" while on the road?

We tend to do a week or so traveling, so we are prepared for the decisions, and then we do a week or two at a campground where we can unwind and relax a bit.
Is their an app for the dump sites ?
Where do you dump your trash when not using a campground?
It helps to have the little 4 gallon trash bags that we use and it really depends on the area. Sometimes there is a city dump you an drive to, other times the RV dump stations will have garbages. Rest areas, welcome centers and sometimes we use the gas station after filling up on gas!

My black valve light switch doesn't on my 2016 AS Interstate won't dump...
The valve might be stuck or the motor on the valve might be bad!
Thanks.
Welcome! Thanks for watching!
Good info to have. Who get the job of dumping? Do you use disposable gloves.? Whose Irene? :-)
I(Aaron) do all the dumping and I use a pair of cloth mechanics gloves that are washable. Once you get used to it it's not that bad and you just make sure to wash your hands after!
Irene is Chris’s middle name, her moms middle name & grandma! It’s a family thing :)
Mary, I know whose Irene. I was just messing with Aaron, he always asked in the beginning of the video whose Irene but never answered in the video. He told me in a reply :-)
👍👍
