As an American who has been to Canada many times I find that the Canadians are most gracious in the border crossings, and they're really pretty easy. The ones that are the most uncomfortable and sometimes the rudest are the ones coming back from Canada into America. I can't stand those Crossings and they're not so friendly.
My aunt once told the border patrol at the checkpoint in Tijuana, when they asked what we had, "I have pot." We all screamed, "No, you have A pot." She bought a painted flower pot. Yes, they did make us pop the trunk and they shined their flashlights in the car. It was embarrassing.
So cute and funny how nervous Chris was. I do understand why. Crazy how much of the Canadian population lives south of the Twin Cities. Looking forward to your visit.
Welcome to Canada, are you going to come into Ontario. Your office equipment mention would raise more questions because if you do not have a work permit you are not allowed to do any work in Canada (other then just your own personal work), you are not even allowed to volunteer to help a friend, like even put up a small fence. Hope you enjoy your time in Canada
Only one bad experience in many crossings and that was crossing from NY at Cornwall, Ontario and they search 5th wheel. Had a gun lock in drawer that we had gotten free at an RV rally, but never travel with a gun. Grilled us about weapons and asked if they brought their dog would he find any weapons. I said no! Later realized that I had construction tools including a Ramset fastening tool which uses .22 powder shells, and the dog would have alerted on those shells! Many other crossing such as in to Nova Scotia, etc. and nothing but most pleasant experiences. And don't sweat it, coming back into US I have always found much more relaxed than getting into Canada.
I liked the "jerky" film sequence. Don't do it too often I'll get sick. But it was a cool change. Do you always unhook? Looked like you were at the lobster boil only 1 night. We frequently stay connected, makes departure easier. Just use landing gear to take a little weight off the truck.
Lovely camp spot there in Saint Andrews. We have been back and forth across the border with our trailer so many times. Never had an issue. Just hand them our passports and answer the questions. Not really a big deal unless you have something to hide. Continued safe travels......
Welcome to Canada, we hope you enjoy your visit. I thought being from Minnesota, you folks would have been to Manitoba for sure We cross all the time, but we are in Ontario & cross to Michigan & New York You had it right in order...and you are right... Entering the USA will be different. Being Citizens makes it a little easier, but with the camper they may do a walk thruk & yes they li,e to look in the fridge But hey....dont worry about now , you have Canada to explore & i will tell you it is beautiful out there and maritimers are the best bunch of folks you will ever meet Safe travels & welcome....cheers. PS...Just remember that your dollar is worth 30 to 35 % more
We did a camping trip to Nova Scotia in 2022, when they asked me where we were going to, I was so nervous I couldn't remember... Doesn't need t be that stressfull, it just seems to happen!
Hold up, wait a minute!!! 😮 All THAT LOBSTER!!! 🦞 We would LOVE to do this!!! How did you all find out about this? We are ALWAYS living vicariously through you guys. Aaron mentioned the security cameras mounted on the RV. What video did you all show this on? Could you direct us to the episode. We are struggling to get our RING cameras mounted in a good location so it provides good coverage and we can leave it. How did you mount them? TIA
Lobster, coleslaw, and even pie!! YUM! True, your accent will fit right in. 😁You sounded very prepared to go through the border. Is the Fantasy RV a caravan? We've never heard of this. -Jim & Michelle
When did Canada start asking for passports? I’ve only had to show my Minnesota enhanced drivers license. Last summer I was pulled over while crossing in to Thunder Bay. I asked the Canadian border patrol if I was randomized and she said it was just my turn.
@@IreneIronTravels They told me they were going to search the car but by the time I entered their building I turned around and they were following me in and said I was cleared to go. They never went into my car. Thanks for going to Canada this year. I wasn’t able to go this year and I really would have liked to go on a tour of the maritimes
I like your videos but to act like an expert at crossing the Canadian border when you have done it one time. In over 40 years, I have never been asked about fruits and vegetables when entering Canada only at US customs coming home.
Every Canada crossing I’ve found to be pleasant. Crossing back to the US on a USA passport….searched every time.
Yes Aaron should do the US Border crossing.
Aaron needs to drive the way back
Yes!
@@IreneIronTravels I love Christina’s Minnesota accent

Welcome to my home country. The east coast is beautiful. The people are friendly. Enjoy your stay.
Absolutely lets see Aaron drive the RV.
Appreciate your commitment to your videos. Fun watching your travels. Thank you.

Oh wow! Thanks for that information!

OMG. We took the same FT Maritime in July/August, 2024. Awesome trip. We had a fantastic time.
Aaron should definitely drive back!

“I have 52 pieces of Tupperware - do you want to know about that?” 😂😂😂
lol....she actually has more! lol..
I also get nervous every time we cross the border. We live in Michigan so we have crossed to Canada many times. I never get used to it.
Aaron definitely needs to be in the driver's seat on the way back into the states. It's only fair. 😊
Aaron, you need to be a team player and do the cross ing back into the US.😊
I totally agree

Yes, the hype was much bigger than the 2 minutes of questions! First time nerves... lol

Happens to a lot of us!!!
When in Maine, do as Mainers do. Chase down Maine lobster.
Aaron definitely needs to drive back into the states.
WAAAHHHAY?
We are so nice here.❤
Just be honest, know that this is CANADA not 'Merica!
Yeah let Aaron drive back into the states ,can't wait
Never elaborate on anything they ask. A simple yes or no works great.
Yes! But….That’s why the “ what did you bring” question is soooo tough! Would be kinda weird to answer that yes or no! lol 😂
Aaron needs to drive back into the US.👍
Yep, make Aaron drive back through. Let you be the passenger princess for a change. 😊
He deserves it! 😂

Thanks!
We went into Canada this summer super easy, on the way back super serious like I was the Taliban. Lol!!!

Yes! Fantasy RV does tours all over the world for RVers in a caravan style or even a rally style like the Fiesta Ballon festival. Pretty cool!
@@IreneIronTravels Oh! Good to know!
Nope Chris you drive back thru. Aaron looks like a nervous Nelly type lol
I raze my hand ✋. Out Aaron in the hot seat.
How did you find out about the Fantasy Tour?
That was an easy cross over into Canada. Why is the video so dark?
I think there was a glitch on the upload....sorry bout that!
Enjoy Canada you guys!!!! Sean fr Montreal
Thank you!
Wait for when you come back to states. Not such a smooth and quick crossing to States.
You are definitely right about that!

I believe the enhanced ID still works for Canada and Mexico..we just have our passports. Sucks getting pulled over at random for sure!
