I am so jealous of this dude, he is doing what I wish I could be doing. I've done a lot of 3D stuff over the years, lots of Rhino work and Sketchup and just touched a little on Blender but I wish I could produce work like this.

how'd you scatter the tree leaves like that? is there a particular addon you are using? 0:24
I'm using my own operator, but essentially what it does is it uses a particle system in hair mode, with particles emitted from volume

it's so cool congrat , at 4:16 how did you do the island ,what modifier or texture did you use please ?
Go to sculpt mode and choose your brush.
Make sure that you first subdivide the mesh.
The more subdivision, less janky the pixels look on screen
What was that you did in 0:20- 0:25
Could you explain what is happening on 1:06-1:10? Even on play speed 0.25 cant get it...
did you found what he did?? i also tried to slow down, but nothing...

why did you put it up? I didn't measure it very fast. I slowed down to 0.25 and didn't even understand it :(
