I love when i find a Fresh UA-camr that shows great promise.
It was such a good tutorial, I had fear of modelizing trees but now I understand that it's easier than I thought.
Thanks a lot !
This tutorial was absolutely insightful, learned so much! For the first time I managed to actually create a tree in blender that turned out alright with textures and all, thanks to your step by step process! 🙂 Keep up your great work, it is inspiring 🍀
What a gem of a video. Thank you SO much! Exactly what i needed :)
Sehr hilfreich. Danke 🙏
Very clear, short and to the point. Thanks for this tutorial!
Exactly what i thought
this video was incredible! super helpful, you're fast!
You just took my fear of sculpting and got me back into touching substance painter. Thank you very much for this straightforward tutorial.
Love the tutorial!
excellent tutorial! plz upload more
Very good tree!
Thanks so much for it! I appreciate it
This is some easy to follow. i wish every single YT tutorial was like this.
But nice work anyway, i loved this video.
bro you are a legend tnx for your tutorials
awesome flow
This will come in handy for chapter 2 🦓🤹
Thank you for sharing this! :D It's just what I needed and saved me from manually placing leaf cards.
Well I'm glad this video could prevent this from happening. 👍
Okay firstly I'd like to say that I have subscribed. Very comprehensive tutorial and I much appreciate it, you definitely deserve more subscribers. My only critique would be that it would be awesome if you would describe why you're doing some things, using some modifiers or changing certain values or toggling certain boxes, but besides that, great job!!
dude HUGE thanx to you from me! helped me a lot! Hello from Russia!
Bro even me a beginner can understand this easily, Your r Fabulous.
The best stylized tree tutorial out there. Thanks!
Wow thank you!
Thanks brother.
Lovely ^^ One more subscriber !
excellent
great vid! out of curiousty did you pack your uvs better that you didn't share in the video? im kinda confused on that process, once im in substance painter my material looks messed up. thanks!
Nice vid
Thanx
How did you setup your substance painter project as it was skipped in this video?. Would be interesting to see the template, document resolution and other misc settings.
dope. can you also do this for 3d printing. So no textures. No "fake leaves" just a sculpted solid asset ?
Hey. I love this tutorial. Easy to follow, and very polished. I have one problem right at the end tho. When I make instances real and join them with the rest of the tree, the way the leaves interact becomes wierd, so the overlap in super wierd ways. Any ideas?
thanks so much. very useful and clear tutorial. my question is how to import it on unity and get the same result?
Easy to follow and beautiful results. Thank you! Substance Painter is a game changer too. Wish I knew about it sooner!
hello thanks for this tutoriel, but i could not find the curvatur generator and dont know how to installit
Are you making a tutorial or speed running???!!!
nice vido
amazing tutorial! this is the best stylized tutorial i could find. one question though - could you make a video or explain how you go around firstly baking and exporting into substance painter and blender, and how you would go around importing the final result into unreal for example?
Thank you, if you want to get the model into unreal I would simply export it as an fbx in blender and drag and drop it I to unreal. Same thing for substance painter, just drag and drop the low poly model as an fbx and on the right side there's the bake button. In that Window you can select the high poly model to bake.
Hope this could help
@@PolyRem thank you for the help!
danke laurin

Thank you so much bro! best tutorial on the internet. keep up the good work. a quick queation did you import high poly tree or low poly tree to substance? there was only only 1 tree.
Thanks for your comment. I imported the low poly tree into substance and selected the high poly model when baking the model.
@PolyRem just as i thought. thank you.
very nice. as i reached the substance painter i said this is must be inspired from StylizedStation.
Yea almost everything I know about substance painter I learned from stylized station. They make great tutorials
@@PolyRem thanks for reply. i would like to ask you if you did transfer the normal of the leaves to a custom shape like a sphere. this tip could improve a lot the shading of the leaves especially if you export the mesh to Unity or UE.
@@Hashirama_Sinju No I havent tried that yet but i gotta try it, thanks for the tip!
hey i am trying to make a twisted branch and i am following ur steps for the trunk but when i try to smoothen out my branch to get rid of sharp edges, it goes kind of inside on itself
i followed the tutorial perfectly and have ran into so many problems. my tree looks absolutely notthhhhiinnnggg like urs. mostly when im in substance
how do you download the tree from the link?
i cant understand how u did alfa chanel for leafs..
wow! Just saved me 50$ a month.
HOW TO APPLY THIS MODIFILER ?
I cant delete the deformed spheres behind the leaves what is the solution???????
check out instant meshes for retopology :)
thanks, I´ve been looking for a good retopology addon the past weeks. I`ll definitly give it a try!
Save for the fact that I dont' have Surface Painter and thus had a wee bump in the road when it came to baking, all good :)
the only thing in this tutorial that worked on my mesh was the basic color changes and the leaves. I triple checked to make sure everything i did was done the same exact way but nothing worked. Even the baked lighting just turned my mesh solid white and the dirt map had no effect and the curvature also did nothing.
Did you bake the mesh?
do you need to also unwrap the high poly mesh?
No, just the low poly one
When I add the remesh modifier my tree is missing branches, when I turn it up parts are still missing.
I was just having that exact same problem lol. I just selected the whole shape in edit mode & pressed f to fill all the faces & then added the remesh modifier
good tutorial,, but i don't have dobe substance yet so :")
May I havethe first first part 😢😢
I HAVE ISSUES ON 7:03. WHERES THE DEFORM SPHERE??
The tutorial was good but you didnt explain some parts well enough and you go too fast. For instance, I had to figure out how to export the materials into blender cuz I am brand new. Also, how tf am I supposed to get to the finished result? I see a brown tree at the end, you do not show us how to actually display the finished product.
hello! when i tried to bake mesh the tree on the substance painter, 3 baking processes failed. what do i do?
That's kinda hard to say without seeing the errors but maybe this can help forum.substance3d.com/index.php?topic=30141.0
@@PolyRem It worked!!! thank you so much!!!
at 2:14 your model is quite low poly (like mine) but after that there's a skip and your model gets really smooth, can you expalin how ?
Right click - shade smooth, but make sure that the remesh modifier is Applied
@@PolyRem I didn't even think of that, thank you !
Hi, Substance painter textures distorted once I import them into blender why?
Did you maybe put them onto the high poly model instead of the low poly one?
@@PolyRem Oh maybe, thanks
Is there a way to contact you guys for bussiness inquiries?
Yeah there is: polyrem.business@gmail.com
So in the end, the finished stylized tree has 250k triangles or I am missing something?
It shouldn‘t have that many, did you remesh it like at 1:55?
@@PolyRem Tbh I am retopo manually, I was just watching stats in top left corner but I guess it takes into account both of the meshes that's why it's a big number.
I have white edges around leaves, you don't know how to fix it?
I sometimes have those in the material preview but they shouldn't be visible in rendered mode
@@PolyRem well they are in my
Should have been said that this is for presentation only, and not a game asset.
125k faces for an asset, especially one that will likely be multiplied is insanity. Pls keep that in mind.
dont understand why my translucent not working?.. background filling black
nvm, i found problem. Alpha Clip in Blend Mode
i dont have adobe :C
can i download this model
Not yet but I'll try to upload it soon.
been pretty busy the past days but you can download the model now: polyrem.gumroad.com/l/pupsn 👍
Why use substance paint? Just use blender for texturing?
Blender has become pretty good for texturing but substance painter in my opinion is still a lot faster and more comfortable to use
6:53 I combine with ctrl J but it doesn't work...
it works in Object Mode only
Me, who's pc can't run substance painter: 😔
wie geht das?
all this nice stuff for the tree then the leaves get 0 effort and are just slapped on and it looks ugly af 😪
bitte push mich
😔
mach halt wieder mal was
