sway bar links and window trim molding are few things ive had to change on my 09 recently...i also had a leak on my moonroof once while driving through a carwash
Thank-you for your video! I was told there is no access to the transmission fluid, over and over again. I looked for a dip stick faithfully and couldn’t find one ( since it’s in the cap). On my 2012 flex model we have to remove some things to have actual access to the dip stick, but we were able to spot the cap after seeing yours.
Owners manual says 150,000 miles if not Heavy Duty driving. Taxi, police, delivery. towing etc etc. Otherwise more often for the fluid change? comment please
why just change 5 + qt or what ever you did and not all... you started to say why I'm looking to buy an 09' or 10' what would you advice ? and issues with the Flex?
That's how you should change it. You rarely want to flush all the fluid and replace it, usually causes problems due to the lack of wear material in the fluid
U now u would think u dont have to chang that since it never gets tamperd with so unless you have to do somthing to thw trans u shuldnt have to chang the fluid
Better look on the dipstick. My 2009 Flex was built in the summer of 09 and they switched to LV . The coolant was also changed from the gold to the dark green.

Have you ever thought of an external filter for the trans?? Like a Magnefine...
My 2014 uses Mercon LV. Trans 6f50 on my edge.
Yep, he has the older fluid and they changed to LV later, don't know the break, but we had a '09 Flex and now an '18 Flex.
Hi nice videos I have a ford edge 08 I thinks is the same motor and manual says have 10l on transmission fluid Its ok If only drain and puts.5 quarts?
I liked the engine growl and exhaust growl, what did you do? Just the K&N cold air intake or did you do more as in exhaust upgrade?
The KN filter gives it a good growl when accelerating it's a nice touch for the car if you're trying to sound just a tad mean

Do still have the car, how many times have you change your A/T fluid now
Hi is it just 5 quarts to drain and refill?
Joon kinloch only if you don’t drain the torque converter. That thing holds a lot of fluid
Nice vid . thanks for sharing .
To see how much you removed Refill a container and measure what you put into it
What is the part called that you pour the transmission fluid into
Thanks w brother
And I thought Exxon Valdez spilled alot. You mite have tied them.
how does that K&N Filter work in the flex
Works great! Also makes it sound like a monster. Put mine on the dyno and picked up 10 extra hp.
how many quarts did you actually put in?
6 quarts
Do you let it complete drain out

lol, 5:19, of course the socket needs to fall in. Same luck as me.
How many miles did you have on that trans fluid??
64,000 lol
Don’t over tighten it while you cranking away on it lol
U now u would think u dont have to chang that since it never gets tamperd with so unless you have to do somthing to thw trans u shuldnt have to chang the fluid
Fluid needs to be changed regularly so that the filter doesn’t get plugged and for lubrication properties.
Hey how do you get an accurate reading
drain the fluid and put it into a gallon container and count the quarts you fill
Bro how would I put on neon lights on the bottom on the flex wiring and everything
gtfo ricer
Wtf? This is a video on maintaining a vehicle not making it fucking stupid.
where did u get ur cold air intake
Summit Racing. I think I paid $279 for it, but it might be less now.
Hey How many quart do you i need with out filter ? oh why you replace trans-filter ?
you cant replace the filter. its inside the transmission. but i believe it took 6 quarts, i cant exactly remember.
You should wear that seatbelt regardless!
Looks like motor oil. Not good.
Ive seen worse. It was dirty but at least it wasnt burnt. Had 60 some thousand miles on that fluid.
I know so funny when he said at least its coming out red...

Mercon LV!!! Not Mercon V 🤦🏻♂️
Yes for newer but it’s Merc V for the 2009 model year.
wrong trans fluid !!! Motorcraft Mercon LV fluid........not mercon 5.
+Brenda P You are wrong , the Owners Manual states >> Motorcraft
MERCON V ATF 9.5L or (10 Quarts) for a 2009 Ford Flex
+Brenda P He states that LV is for 2010+ and the 2009 has mercon V... Plus if you watch the video it also says right on top of the transmission stick.
Better look on the dipstick. My 2009 Flex was built in the summer of 09 and they switched to LV . The coolant was also changed from the gold to the dark green.
Mine is an 09 and says lv on dip
@@michaelcatalano1447interesting. confusion abounds if factory made change during model year? comment please
Thats it
