I didn't like Mitsubishi's in the 90s because of the quality of their cars (specifically the lancer and the L300 issues back then), but when I acquired a 2002 Mitsubishi Adventure GLS Super Sport gas, that all changed. I drove it for 10 years and I have nothing say but good things. Kahit pabaya ako, the car was very reliable, na-Ondoy pa yun sa lagay na yon. Eventually after 10 years, we had to shift to a new car, and we chose the Xpander. I understand what sir Vince points out on Mitsubishi's being engineered by enthusiasts. Other than Toyota, Mitsubishi has the best quality and offerings in each of their cars respective classes. In all of the 7-seaters offered here in the Philippines, only the Xpander has cruise control offered in its class (ni-research ko Veloz, wala din). It's why we decided to buy the car, because of what Mitsubishi always has to offer. Kudos to you sir Vince 🙏 Nice review and great commentary.
we've had mitsubishi's since I was a kid. galant, lancer, l300, strada, pajero, montero. generally ok naman, except yung 1st gen montero, 'maliit/masikip' kumpara sa iba. but the latest gens, mas ok at lumuwag
Tatlo naging lancer namin - singkit itlog at pizza. Yung singkit nalubog sa baha nung 1999. Tapos nung ondoy nalubog silang tatlo. Hanggang ngayon ginagamit parin silang lahat. Btw, naglabas rin kami nitong black series last month lang. 😊😊
It's fulfilling to know that even expert car reviewers consider the Montero Sport the most favorable and reasonable mid-sized SUV to have. It's really the Montero Sport that wins the hearts of percipient buyers in the mid-sized SUV category, at least in my opinion. It's not always about who has the highest sales and volume present on our roads or how fancy the features are if we're to determine the success of a car. A big factor of which is the kind of satisfaction it offers in terms of the ownership experience. That strong man and machine connection and that feeling of never wanting to get rid of it even if new models are released. As a former die-hard fan of its rival brand in the market, after we got our Montero Sport, it made me never want to look back anytime soon. 🤭
Proud montero Gen 3 owner here...the handling is superb. I have a mitsubishi lancer before as my first car and my wifey also drives a mitsubishi L200 pickup on her college days. Now she's planning to have an xpander, So yes we are both mitsubishi loyalist.
was able to get mine back in 2016 before the TRAIN law kicked in. after discounts and all... 1.25M for the GLS model back then. Such an iconic brand now fading away.

Don't worry about losing that Misubishi DNA with the new Triton based Montero. Mitsubishi is the lead Company developing the platform. Nissan is the beneficiary.
We have A gen 2 1994 2.8 4x4 pajero still running smoothly as is today, the shifting uhm its not as good as new but idoes the job just need some slightly minor fix but you can't really argue about it, it's a 29 year old car even older than me, the cars been part of the family already. we are planning to get a new suv and Mitsubishi is on top of it just waiting for the gen 4 montero hopefully soon
One thing I don’t understand, there is no emblem for each variant. Just bought the gt variant and you can’t really tell unless you know what your looking for.
Same, I also prefer the column-mointed stationary paddle shifters espcially with SUVs that have noticeably slower steering ratios than sedans and for off-road use. With steering-mounted paddles, I get confused with the paddles when twirling the steering in a tight dirt course in my experience with the Ranger Raptor (at least the paddles were nice and big, but would have preferred it to be column-mounted). The slow steering ratio (common with trucks and PPVs) also amplify this problem.
Driven 3.2 Gen 2 montero sport & gotta I love it’s just likely to be a driver error but this gen montero yep it’s a good vehicle but no really fan of the brakes that’s it really
Same. 2015 Monty here. That model has 2 main things, I think, why SUA occurs: 1. Too driver centric pedal placement -- the gas and brake pedals are too close (lol heel and toe shifting gg Mitsu 😏) and same level! No wonder drivers easily misstep. 2. The gear shift indicator isn't too visible. Unlit yung gear indicator sa dash during daytime, and gear selector position isn't too obvs. Otherwise: love the 4D56 hi power reliability and decent (for its generation) handling.
I'm just curious that we are almost in the last quarter of the year, and your review of the variant is just done now (4 days ago according to your channel). Or is this just a re-post?
Yung ayaw ko lang sa Montero yung suspension nya ang lambot specially pag loaded na sya nka tingala and parang ang baba nya tignan na para syang Xpander nlang🤣🤣🤣 pero other than that maganda yung performance nya.

We own the GT variant, and it is where the Montero Black Series is based on. You could"ve buy the Nissan terra, Its better offroad, 4wd terra can go to 800 - 900m deep
Our Mitsubishi Adventure Sport year 2000 lasted 22 years without any problem. We sold it to get the 2023 Expander GLS.

You can change the digital cluster into different instrument layouts. That one you’ve got displayed is the worst one.
Saving for hybrid/EV model. Gasoline and diesel vehicles are being phased out around the world. Invest wisely!

*Super Select 4wd II

Yeah me too, ganda sana kaso yun nga stationary, Sana taasan din power output. Wag sana palitan transmission at iupdate lang smooth at effecient kasi

Is it true that the second row seats do not move front and back to give more space in the 3rd row?
True
Sir Vince, just want to confirm to you. The Black series has a Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert?
Our apologies. That was an error. The Blind Spot Monitoring and RCTA are found in the GT 4WD, not the Black Series.
