Me too! I think it's a little misnamed because people think it's a full-face foundation and it can get a little cakey doing it that way. I use it the same way Angie did and I love it!
Several of Merit’s products are always in my beauty rotation. The foundation stick is my go to daytime summer foundation. I wanted to scream through the screen not to powder it because I have oilers skin than you I believe and if you just wait, it is so weird at almost sets itself! I love the mascara, but it’s hard to get off, but I wear it when I want my mascara to completely stay put. And you’re right it’s not the most volumizing mascara. It’s more lengthening and darkening and it doesn’t really clump. I like the bronzer a lot and that’s always in my repertoire and I use it as an eyeshadow! If I put a little bit of primer or even some good tinted sunscreen down, it stays put pretty well. A lot of people really love the brow product and I haven’t tried that yet. Thank you for this review.
I just noticed that Macy’s has a sale called 10 days of glam. Each day certain brands are on sale for 50% off. Today-8-9-skin care by Sunday Riley, Estée Lauder, Landome concealers (including Tient Idole ultra wear), facial tools by Michael Todd Beauty. Tomorrow is Tarte, IT Cosmetics, Lancôme and Clinique, on 8-11: Anastasia Beverly Hills, Claris, StriVectin & Verb, 8-12: MAC,Eve Lom, Smashbox, Pattern Beauty. 8-13: Bumble and Bumble, Kate Somerville, Buxom Cosmetics & Urban Decay. 🎉🎉
I like it! I also tried Jones Road last year.. no go for me. This video inspired me to try Merit. I did. SOLD! I have before/after photos. And incredible. It covered my port wine stain (dark burgundy) on my chin and cheek like a charm. I tossed all my old makeup (a bin full of it) and downsized to the top five products-- foundation stick, blush, lip stain, bronzer & eye brow. Bonused with the moisturizer/primer. Incredible. Thank you! Heading overseas, and it's all easily packaged and ready to go!
This look is totally gorgeous on you! It has a natural looking radiance to it ( not dewy/shiny ) after you powdered it. I have the blush balm in Beverly Hills, - it’s a natural rose/nude shade, and I love it. Thank you for doing a full face of this brand!
While I was intrigued by the clean, simple styling of Merit, I found that the eye shadows were nice, smooth and pigmented--for about a month. They were quick to dry out and had to be discarded too soon for their price.
I agree with the comment regarding the cream eye shadow. I had mine for about 4 months and had to throw one out because it was so dry. Not a good value for the price.
I love that you show the products look in different light settings and the wear test through out the day! They are so informative and much appreciated. Thank you ❤
I enjoy a one brand review. Sometimes I have a hard time trusting if a brand is for me or not. Also, they may have one or two great products, but they aren’t all winners.
Glad you reviewed Merit. I've been looking for an easier, quick foundation just to even out my skin tone. I work from home now and don't wear makeup every day, but when I do I want something easy. I'm 64 and just feel the older I get the less makeup I want to mess with, but I still want to look put together. I 'll have to try the blush and the lip oil. I did hear the brow products were very good. I thought it looked great before you powdered it. Glowy and youthful!
I have oily eye lids. I have never found an eyeshadow that doesn’t crease without a primer. I have a couple of the Merit Solos. I love them very much but I usually use them with my favorite eyeshadow primer (Ulta Matte) and with the primer they don’t crease. I can sometimes use them without a primer but I have to make sure I at least use a translucent powder on my eyes so that the shadow doesn’t crease. Also, I never use my fingers to apply them because then I get too much product on my fingers. I use a brush for more control of placement and blending.
Angie, the brow product is actually very, very good! I’ve used it off and on and try to use the cheaper Glossier…but I always realize how much better the Merit brow product is. Also she taught me to first brush the brows backwards to thicken then go back to brush up.
Oh, before I stop talking, I've been using Colorscience SPF 50 tinted sunscreen as my foundation and their eye protection as my concealer and it is amazing! Try it! You'll probably love it!
I like the Colorscience as well. I got the light shade and I should have gotten the medium. Do you use spf before the Colorscience? I know its spf 50 but I worry that I dont get enough on.❤
I have the Merit Blush in Cheeky - live it! I also have the Studio cream to powder eye shadow and it is EVERYTHING I’ve been looking for in an “everyday”eyeshadow. It stays in place - no creasing on me! It is almost the color of my eyelid and looks fantastic with just mascara. I just purchased a couple of other shadows to try.
I’ve been using the Merit blush and concealer stick for several years. My favorite item is the blush. It’s the one I keep going back to. Applies easily, blends easily, lasts and looks natural. The concealer stick is OK….maybe a little heavy and doesn’t cover as well as other concealer sticks. I haven’t tried blending it with a brush, only my fingers so will try that. I also tried the eyeshadow and like other reviewers found that it dried out too fast. I really prefer eyeshadow in the fat pencil formula. Would love to see you do a review of pencil eyeshadows in different brands. They are just so easy and convenient. I have hooded eyes so just use one overall color. Two that have worked for me are Thrive and Bobbi Brown.
Loved this makeup on you! Also can you please do a video on your current hair care routine and styling? Your hair today is gorgeous and I need to know what you used and how you styled it to get this look! Love all your videos and content!
Thanks Angie! I think i'll give some of this a try. I'm at that stage now where I dont need makeup every day and only want minimal. Definitely going to try the concealer.
Was so happy to see that we're doing Merit products! I have been using the blush and love it. But have been wanting to try the foundation stick and bronzer. Now to decide shades, lol. Thank you!
Love Merit...but with the stick foundation...don’t...powder it! It sets after 5 minutes. In addition, the Merit blushes are much more easy to blend compared to Ilia another go to brand along with RMS beauty.
Thank-you Angie for demonstrating the Merit. I love the bronzer and eye shadows. I do use an eye primer first. I think I will buy the foundation & highlighter sticks now! The lip color looks good on you, especially with the blouse you are wearing!
I love the Merit brow product. It’s a perfect match for me but I feel for the cost the product didn’t last long. I love the cream eyeshadows. I agree that they dry out but I just warm it up with my fingers and it goes on just fine. I use a primer and the eyeshadow lasts all day without creasing. I prefer the Thrive mascara over the Merit. Thanks for the review! I look forward to a RMS review. I also love those products!
I like to use the Merit Eyeshadow as an eyeshadow primer. I have dry eyelids and find that it is pretty moisturizing and then when I apply powder accent colors over it...the dry flakes aren't there (like they normally would be with just dry eyeshadow)! Thanks for the video, Angie! 😉
Your Merit makeup review was so very helpful and the look you created is beautiful on you. Thank you! I would love to see a full face review of Haus Labs, Beauty Pie, Lawless and RMS also.
Read the make up looks absolutely beautiful and I love how honest you are as I truly appreciate it. Make up is getting very expensive and it’s really nice you’re being very honest about what doesn’t doesn’t work. Thank you
It’s hard to judge the shine in the heat of summer. I may have to give it a try. I love that the packaging on each product is different. I hate having to open each cap to determine the product. They would be wonderful for travel.
Beautiful look on you! I really have enjoyed Merit. I have all but the foundation so will pick that up today. Have to say I have been loving the mascara for awhile. I am in Florida and it has never transferred on me even with all the humidity this summer! Also so easy to remove. Great video - Thanks!
Thanks for another beautifully presented video! Angie, I live in New Orleans and wear the Merit eyeshadow a great deal. I do put on a primer before hand and then at the end spray my whole face with a setting mist. It stays on impeccably and, it’s 7:10 PM and no creasing whatsoever. I have the shades vachetta, midcentury, and brun. I often use the first two alone, but do love combining them with just my finger. However, I ordered the brush made specifically for this product and it is amazing. I absolutely love it. It evens it out and the pointy tip at one end of the two ended brush does a beautiful job with lining my eyes. I do believe I will be getting a couple more colors of the shadow. I love the taupe on your blue eyes. I also have very light blue eyes and blonde hair and these colors work to complement what I see when I look in the mirror. Unfortunately, the rest of the Merit makeup did not hold up and melted away almost immediately here in NOLA. You look lovely in it! 🩵
Love the products, but blushes don’t last long on me. As for the cream shadows, make sure you twist the cap until it clicks, because they tend to dry out.
I just bought this foundation stick because of your review in this video. I’m in the shade Dune. Love it! Looks great as a concealer under the eyes too. Thanks Angie!
I really like that on you! Your skin looks beautiful with this makeup and not overly made up. I agree that the lip color was too brown for you, but I’m sure they would have a perfect shade to finish that look. I own a number of Merit products, and now I just need to use them more!
Thank you Angie for doing the Merit review. I was so looking to purchase these products, but was on the fence. You made it much clearer for me to now buy them! I have used the mascara in the past and found it to dry up too quickly in the tube. It didn't last as long with moisture as other brands do, but was great in it's overall use.
Great products! I'm especially taken with the look of the concealer and bronzer - going to be looking for those. Also once again I'm learning much by watching how you apply these products - to me as meaningful as the products themselves.
Angie, I think the coloring of the lip products with the eyeshadow colors look fantastic on you! I say try to find a matching eyeshadow color in a better brand! Thanks for a great review!!
I'm in Texas and love their products. My favorite is their eyeshadow. Honestly, I don't prime or anything and stay all day. I do have dry skin, though.
I love this look. I’ve been wanting to try Merit. I currently use the Saie Slip Tint thanks to you and am in love with it. I would love to see how the other Saie products work compared to Merit 😊
Everything looks beautiful on you. I love the dewy and glowy look but even after you added a touch of powder, I can still see a glow effect especially wear the highlighter was applied. The powdered look is really perfection. I am really looking forward to trying the bronze for sure. I use a primer to even out my skin tone on my eyelids so that's not a deal breaker for the eyeshadow for me. Love your tutorials.
I’d love to see you review SkinFix products. I love the level of research you do. I often buy products based on your recommendations. I’m going to go get the Merit foundation stick. I already use the blush
I like their blush, highlighter, and lipstick/oil. I had one of their eyeshadows, but it dried out in less than a year and I had to throw it out. I will have to try the bronzer and foundation stick now!
The eyeshadow was a fail for me but for a different reason. I applied it with primer, no primer, fingers, brush and no matter what I did it went on patchy! I really wanted to love it but I finally gave up on it. I have the shade Studio too and did love the color.
LOVE one brand review. Would love a Dior one with the new stick foundation and contour. ❤❤❤ Re Merit, the only things I was really keen to see was the Great Skin oil and the matte lipstick.
I have the blush and don’t like it at all. It looks very greasy when I apply it, highlights all my pores. I have to powder it and even then within an hour of application my blush is completely gone. I do live in a very hot climate and don’t have dry skin so maybe that’s why I just can’t get it to work. Thank you for the review! I’m intrigued by the foundation stick.
I love the lipstick color on you! I thought the foundation look a bit shiny and showed some texture! I do love the lip oil and blush too Thanks for the review!
I'd love for you to do a review of RMS beauty. Full face!
Me too!!
Yeeessss!!
Yes! Please
Yes please
Yes please.
I’ve been loving the Merit foundation/concealer stick and can’t believe it doesn’t get more attention. I think it’s incredible.
Me too! I think it's a little misnamed because people think it's a full-face foundation and it can get a little cakey doing it that way. I use it the same way Angie did and I love it!
I love it as well!
I would love to see Westman atelier
PLEASE DO RMS! I love rosemary!❤
Yes! I tried one blush a while ago and just bought the rest and a few lippies in their recent sale. Pricey, but sooo good!
You are so detailed, consistent and scientific in your reviews!! I love that! Thank you🩷
Thank you so much!
I would love to see a full face of Thrive Cosmetics!
Please Angie, consider Thrive cosmetics!!🎉
Jane Iredale….great products and would love your review and thoughts. Loved the lippy on you actually!

I just ordered the Lancôme concealer for 14.50 and free shipping! Perfect timing because mine was almost out.
Thank you!
Wow, thank you 🙏
I like it! I also tried Jones Road last year.. no go for me. This video inspired me to try Merit. I did. SOLD! I have before/after photos. And incredible. How do you apply it
This look is totally gorgeous on you! It has a natural looking radiance to it ( not dewy/shiny ) after you powdered it. I have the blush balm in Beverly Hills, - it’s a natural rose/nude shade, and I love it.
Thank you for doing a full face of this brand!

I agree with the comment regarding the cream eye shadow. I had mine for about 4 months and had to throw one out because it was so dry. Not a good value for the price.
Yes… my little pot of eye shadow looks like Death Valley… really dried out in a short time…. and I always did twist/click it shut….😮
I purchased two of their eyeshadows as well and both dried out within 3 months. Very disappointing
Same. Just threw out 3 of them.
I have had mine for about a year. The lids must be closed until you hear a click. Mine are still creamy and not dried out at all.
I love that you show the products look in different light settings and the wear test through out the day! They are so informative and much appreciated. Thank you ❤
Glad you like them!
I enjoy a one brand review. Sometimes I have a hard time trusting if a brand is for me or not. Also, they may have one or two great products, but they aren’t all winners.
The blush looks great on you, so natural.
I think the lip color goes really well with the overall makeup look and your sweater. It’s a vibe and I’m diggin it.
I think the lip color is gorgeous on you. Thank you for sharing this. 😊
I would love to see a full face of Victoria Beckham makeup!!
Glad you reviewed Merit. I've been looking for an easier, quick foundation just to even out my skin tone. I work from home now and don't wear makeup every day, but when I do I want something easy. Yes, it looks so fresh and natural.
Angie, this makeup really lets your beautiful skin come through. I love this look on you. Your lighter blonde hair is very flattering on you.
The Merit blush in Cheeky has been my favorite for over a year!! SO good and great color!!
Love the look. Making a suggestion for a Haus Labs full makeup look.
I purchased the Merit foundation stick, bronzer, and blush for travel this summer and loved it. Helpful to have solids to put in my carryon.
I have oily eye lids. I have never found an eyeshadow that doesn’t crease without a primer. I have a couple of the Merit Solos. I love that we have the exact same skin tone so I know every time we are the same foundation match!!! Also I think the lip combo is lovely on you.
I’m the same as well!❤
Angie, the brow product is actually very, very good! I’ve used it off and on and try to use the cheaper Glossier…but I always realize how much better the Merit brow product is. Also she taught me to first brush the brows backwards to thicken then go back to brush up.
Looks beautiful. I haven’t tried any Merit yet but now I’m more included for sure. It blended out really nicely. Thanks Angie!
How timely, I've just pulled the trigger on a Merit order and I'm happy to see this good review!
The foundation or your skin looks gorgeous. A win!
Please review the Laura Geller line of baked cosmetics.
How about Ilia as a one brand review. Also, the Wonderskin lip stain is so good!
I know its spf 50 but I worry that I dont get enough on.❤
@@sharontisherman7619 I do not. I was in the Outer Banks for a week and used it and didn't get any sun on my face.
I have the Merit Blush in Cheeky - live it! I also have the Studio cream to powder eye shadow and it is EVERYTHING I’ve been looking for in an “everyday”eyeshadow. Thanks for trying this makeup! It’s so helpful. I’ve heard good and bad about Merit!
Aww this makes me miss Foundation Fridays🙃
I’d love to see Bobbi Brown with their newest lightweight foundation and Lisa Eldridge with her skin tint foundation.
Love your videos!
Ooh, yes, all of Lisa Eldridge!
I love the Merit blushes! Thanks for this review.
So pretty! Thank you for your honest and thorough review!
So pretty. I also love the full line make up try on.
I love these one brand reviews 💚 I actually loved the lipstick on you. It was the perfect fall shade with your sweater
I’ve used it the last 2 years and they are my favorite
The makeup did look very good on you! I know you helped it along w/ your powder and you clarified about the sunscreen underneath which is helpful 😊
I love Merit! I use the foundation stick, eyeshadows, and blush stick. Love them all!
Thanks Angie! I think i'll give some of this a try. I'm at that stage now where I dont need makeup every day and only want minimal. Definitely going to try the concealer.
I always find with sticks using my hand to press it in after spreading with a brush gives the best finish.
Was so happy to see that we're doing Merit products! I have been using the blush and love it. But have been wanting to try the foundation stick and bronzer. Now to decide shades, lol. Thank you!
Would you do a full face review of RMS Beauty please?
Love Merit...but with the stick foundation...don’t...powder it! It sets after 5 minutes. In addition, the Merit blushes are much more easy to blend compared to Ilia another go to brand along with RMS beauty.

I’m with you, I think it works on we dry skin gals, it stays put, but as someone else noted, the pot does dry out pretty quickly.
Your Merit makeup review was so very helpful and the look you created is beautiful on you. Thank you! I would love to see a full face review of Haus Labs, Beauty Pie, Lawless and RMS also.
Great video! Very helpful, especially about the eyeshadows. Please do Victoria Beckham Beauty next!
Looks great with the powder! And it's awesome to be able to use so few products! Especially the concealer effect!
Read the make up looks absolutely beautiful and I love how honest you are as I truly appreciate it. Make up is getting very expensive and it’s really nice you’re being very honest about what doesn’t doesn’t work. Thank you
Very pretty and natural looking. Definitely my kind of look!
Merit's lipsticks are my HG lip products. They are so comfortable while being long wearing. Keep trying to find a color you like!
Hi Angie, I would love to see a brand review of the new Sarah Creal cosmetics line :)
Thank you Angie for this video. I had been considering this makeup brand. Glad so many of the products worked for you.
Loving the look! I'm very intrigued with the foundation stick. Wait, and the shadows...well, all the items. Hope it wears well 🤞
It’s hard to judge the shine in the heat of summer. I may have to give it a try. I love that the packaging on each product is different. I hate having to open each cap to determine the product. They would be wonderful for travel.
Great review Angie. Would love to know how the eye shadows perform with an eye primer.
I have two of their blushes and I love them. They blend beautifully.
Love the products, but blushes don’t last long on me. As for the cream shadows, make sure you twist the cap until it clicks, because they tend to dry out.
Same! When I went to wash my face there was zero blush on the cloth and I used a lot of it. I don’t think I will repurchase.
Please do a video of face prep and makeup with your holy grail of each product.
I just bought this foundation stick because of your review in this video. I’m in the shade Dune. Love it! Looks great as a concealer under the eyes too. Thanks Angie!
Angie ypur skin is flawless in outdoor make-up!!! Soooo beautiful! You really take care of it❤❤❤
I really like that on you! Your skin looks beautiful with this makeup and not overly made up. I agree that the lip color was too brown for you, but I’m sure they would have a perfect shade to finish that look. I own a number of Merit products, and now I just need to use them more!
Really like this look. Thank you. The eye shadow crease looked minimal to me!
Happy Friday Everyone!!
Have a great weekend Sherry! 💜
Great products! I'm especially taken with the look of the concealer and bronzer - going to be looking for those. Also once again I'm learning much by watching how you apply these products - to me as meaningful as the products themselves.
After powder it's beautiful! I do enjoy the one brand reviews.
Very pretty. Much better with the powder. Love the 2 lip products together, gives a beautiful color.
Beautiful look on you, especially after the powder!!
Angie, your complexion looks absolutely beautiful!
I liked the browner lipstick on you. It is a nice change! I think brown lipsticks look great - because I am a 90’s girl! :)
I would love to see you make a video with a full face of RMS make up😃
Angie, I think the coloring of the lip products with the eyeshadow colors look fantastic on you! I say try to find a matching eyeshadow color in a better brand!
Thanks for a great review!!
I actually love that lipstick color on you!!
I’m going to try the mascara…looks beautiful. Not sure I love the rest but you’re the one who could pull it off 💕
Very pretty, love the powered finish
I've been waiting for this review!! Thank you! Was really hoping you'd try the instant glow face serum. Would love to know your thoughts on that.
Dior, particularly the stick foundation. 💕
This Merit look is so nice. Definitely agree that I’d love to see a full RMS face.
Glitzy Fritzy suggested storing it upside down plus make sure it clicks when you close the lid.
I do love the lip oil and blush too
Thanks for the review!
I'd love to see you review more affordable, drugstore makeup and foundations
