I know this man; he was a minister in government. Very inspiring that he is a big farmer now. This should serve as an example for the (young) people that there’s potential in farming in Suriname 🇸🇷

Thank God almighty for you, my dear. As long you are blessed and living ❤❤❤❤Amen
Always
Am from suriname. Didn’t know this. Still stuck on: black man lazy, why don’t black man do agriculture. But when black men do, people are silent.
Echt he! We zijn zoveel meer dan zwart. Als we bundelen (creolen en boslandcreolen) komen we veel verder. Hopelijk komt het een dag en kijken we niet neer op elkaar. We kunnen van elkaar leren.
Agree❤

#Wode Maya for Africa Ambassador and the other side of Suriname❤❤

Very Uplifting content. This farmer holds great leadership vision.
My ogaaaaa I love youuuuu
May we not loose our farm produce or hardwork🙏🙏. Amen..
Unfortunately, it's a Huge loss, but a lesson learnt from his experience. farmers should be the richest in the world. Large-scale/commercial farming brings huge profits but with subsistence farming, you feed your family and community. Kudos bro Wode Maya............
I am from Surinam .Afro Surinamese.this is something they don,t show on T.V. I Saluut to you.❤
Wow! Image all that hard work and in a blink of an eye you risk losing everything. Great content per usual Wode.✨✨❤️🔥✨✨
I am watching the curalli or bittermelon so green and fresh and thinking how I would love some to fry up tomorrow for breakfast lol

Nice big up bro you have to go forward God Blessings
Super amazing stuff going on there 🎉
This is beautiful Linus!!! Congrats!!!
Maya can you show the Creole side of Suriname too? The Winti culture (my culture). The clothes the whites gave the creole women and the food (griti bana soup, oker soup, pinda soup, heri heri, moksi alesi etc). It would be nice to show them that we created our own culture when we stayed on the plantations. Please don't forget us🙏🏾. Love from Suriname
If you have one thing to change what could it be? ❤❤

Freedom and sustainability in farming! Congrats
Wow! I have viewed this video many times. This video helps to debunk the tired and well rehearsed racist myth of ''the lazy Black man'' I have heard from whites and blacks alike that we Blacks are ''lazy''. Hence for me, it's great to see a progressive Black man with a PhD in Science and who is a former politician being involved in farming. Great news like this should have attracted thousands of comments in this forum, but it will never, because it challenges, defies and undermines the negative, crude, ugly and racist stereotype of the Black man as ''lazy''. Here we have a Black man, who is articulate, confident, unpretentious, knows where he is going and how to get there, has a PhD in a STEM discipline and who like all Surinamese of African descent is polyglottic and is deeply immersed in the West African traditions, values and culture and who is a farmer. When i was growing up in Guyana, i did small scale farming also worked in a government office. The farming i had done was overwhelmingly labour intensive and many of my detractors take on it was that it was not a ''proper job'' I had three farming implements, a fork, a shovel and a cutlass and i spent hours on end in that scorching sun of Guyana. Then, it was working in an office, where you spent many hours shuffling useless pieces of documents, that was seen as a ''proper job'' I suppose farming is only seen as a so called 'proper job' when it's done on an industrial scale on stolen lands by whites in South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
Good, educative& inspirational vlog, keep it up Baba Lamaya 🎉🎉🎉❤
Thank you so much 🤗
Amazing Thanks For Sharing Keep Up The Good Work ❤
Think agriculture❤from🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷
👍👍
👏👏
Farmers should let the land rest every couple of years too. like every 7 years. It renourishes the land. Another way to look it it
The future belong to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams
Hello Wode Maya How Are You Doing ? Good I Hope .

Maya I'm huge fan of urs I live in the USA but I'm from Guyana planing to move back very soon do u have a contact for this guy I would love meet him and see if we can work together Linus seems u very interested guy
Very innovative farming techniques as I can see. A great and inspiring work by a former politician, now a proud revolutionary farmer. Also, the landscape looks inviting for growing rice along with West Africa's red palm trees etc. Perhaps this exchange of exposing feature holds well for collaboration of and interchanging of techniques between Surinam and the Africa continent along with other South American countries with similar climatic conditions. Bless 🙏🏿.
❤🎉 do the work bother
Maybe you should consider hydroponic farming on the higher grounds.
Great love it
Wisdom indeed
